    Hey Bob, as an HVAC guy, it'd serve you better to not shut off your AC. 20% of your run time is going to be dehumidification. By turning it off and then on again the ac has to basically start from scratch. Keeping it on but setting at a higher temp when unoccupied will help with shorter run times when occupied, as the ac doesn't have to work as hard on dehumidification and doesn't have to run as long to satisfy the thermostat.

    Hi Bobby and all, we are very pleased to see the pond being dug out.What a lovely place it will be when it's done.You might even get mallard and his mate back in it - we hope so!! We did get out opening morning. The geese didn't play well dropping short in fields far away. The ducks were abundant over the geese decoys but we didn't shoot them at the minute. Malc took two grey geese out for dinner. We could have had a lot more but when you get older, Bobby, like us, it's just nice to see them flying around! Take care stay safe and enjoy the new pond. Malc and Ann (England) UK xx

    I would dig it deep in the middle and add a flood plain to plant millet or something. Then add a well so you can flood it and control the water level. If you add fish, you might want to add some structure under the water. Cattle is a really good idea. They will seal up a pond. Once you get ducks in there, they help to seal it up too.

  • @nathandell452
    @nathandell452 Před 2 lety +3

    Bobby, you might want to check out some of the videos on CZcams that River Refuge Seed Company has posted. Dave Rogers and his family in Oregon have developed numerous ponds for farming waterfowl attracting plants on their large ranch. Might give you some ideas or maybe some info on what types of plants you can use in Kansas to draw in the waterfowl
    About 25-30 % of the seeds fall to the ground during harvest of fields at River Refuge and in the fall provide feed for thousands of ducks and geese. This makes for some great hunts !

    As for the lodge, the coffee table seems like it is inaccessible now in the giant circle of couches. No place to set my cup or lean over and look at the coffee book! You may pull the table closer to one side and grab a few side tables OR put the couches into more of a square shape first. Then have the table on one side and a couple of side tables and make it easier to have paths to walk in and out of the "square". Just a thought.

    • @billwhite7099
      @billwhite7099 Před 2 lety +1

      you caused me to go back and look and I concur. The center coffee table is useless in this situation. There should almost be a sparce coffee table at each couch to hold a guests cup, mug, bottle, class, or plate. Additionally that would minimize spills with a person being forced to hold or improvise an unstable resting place for said vessle. Good eye.
