Lance is a good driver and yeah he gets hate for no reason. Also negative comments get deleted so that’s why you see only positive ones.

Fair play to Lance. He could easily be ignorant about his upbringing but he owns it and realises how fortunate he is to be doing what he’s doing. He’s also remained in the sport on merit with solid performances. In my opinion, he probably sits in the top 10/12 drivers on the grid.
Lance never got, neither maintained his place thanks to his talent.
Love him or hate him he is probably one of the most real characters in the paddock.
Exactly. People can say what they want but Lance has done enough to warrant a seat. He’s consistent and a good driver.

@@ia303 You’ve got to also remember how much it would of helped him through early single-seat years. Some teams will only look at you if you have financial backing. That being said, I do think he’s a great driver and is definitely deserving of a seat in F1
Great interview - Lance Stroll has come across so much better this year in all of his interviews - great job - especially the team around him.
Lance is just such a likable person. Also very Canadian. I know so many guys just like this. But that might be why I like him so much ❤

I always gave Lance extra chance to prove himself and didn´t just hate on him because it is cool. I like the person and the driver he is, I think he is just getting better and with a better car he can show it even more. He has already did some great moves in the past. Fan of Lance and AM, let´s go!

Stroll is one of the youngest driver, we must never forget that. I'm a fan from day 1. First time we're having a competitive canadian driver since Jacques Villeneuve. (and Latiffi lol) He will compete for the championship one day. Let's Go Lance Let's go Fernando ;)
Its amazing how Stroll went from Daddy's boy to a respected F1 driver whose a competent teammate to Fernando Alonso
Ocon could at times beat Alonso on pace, haven't seen Stroll do that (yet).
@Unnamed Unbekannt one, it's been like 4 races
Two it's a much faster car, its a lot easier to be closer together when your in the midfield cuz the drivers are more likely to be held back by the car
Three, the amount of mechanical issues fernando had in alpine definitely helped in that stat
Four, lance has been on occasion faster than both Massa and Vettel so... it's one or the other
Could probably say a few more things like about his injuries or lack of testing and all that But you get my point
@@unnamedunbekannt1691 Alonso is a GREAT driver, nobody could accuse Lance of that. He's turned out a lot better than I expected though, occasionally seriously fast, inconsistent though.

I said it a year ago and I'll say it again - Lance is an easy target for F1 fans being the son of Lawrence Stroll. But under that helmet is a very talented driver, he shows great pace but suffers in qualifying.
Lance suffers in other things on the track.
He's a fantastic recovery driver.
he's a good man reasonably competent driver as well and hes still so young rooting for a good future for lance

I’m Canadian. I really like Lance. I think he’s a good man who was raised well and with good family values.
I’m not as passionate about him racing that I was with JV, but I am always proud to see him race and hope he does well.

Lance comes across very well in this. He does get an unfair reputation but hasn’t helped himself PR wise in recent years. Credit to the producers for subtly putting a bit of Celine in! 😂

Seeing Ted with that Airliner World magazine reminded me of when my grandad used to give me them when I was little and I would just look at the pictures. I forgot they existed. Might have to start buying them.
Revelstoke is a very nice area of British Columbia. They get a ton of snow in the winter. Lots of outdoorsy things to do there

When Lance first arrived into F1, I'll be the first to admit I thought he was just another rich daddies boy who didn't belong in F1.
But as time has gone on, he has proven me wrong, especially after watching this interview.
I really hope he gets to experience winning a race in F1, because, love him or hate him, he deserves his spot in F1 and I would love to see him win a race.
Ted did a pretty good job for somebody who (I assume) doesn't get on skis too often.

Love lance, underrated driver, but the star of the show was teds Yorkshire accent, as a Yorkshireman myself I appreciate a southerner who can do a good old Yorkshire accent

I didn’t even recognize who was in the thumbnail. It took me a few hours before I actually paused to look. It’s Lance with a mustache.
And I learned how to differentiate pronunciations and dialects in the UK thanks to Love Island. Which got me googling and learning more about the different counties, countries and 😊it’s actually interesting but maybe I’m just a nerd.

Sometimes I fantasize having a nice chat with Lance and having lunch with him and his family and talking about wonderful plans for the future as well as sharing my youtube channel with them. I might not make a fraction as much money as he does, but I don't care about that. If I ever did end up meeting him in the flesh, I'm only interested in knowing him for who he is as a person and not for his status. A social encounter of that sort is worth more than all the money that the Stroll family has. A sweet memory is the greatest thing I could ever ask for if I ever met Lance and/or his family

@@LoogiBalloogiagree, what Fernando does inside the car makes him one of the very best, problem is how he interacts with his team outside the car is what I imagine the point @storytime47 was making. Seb was a massive asset inside and outside the car.
I think the point here is that there’s a VERY different Alonso in this team. The undoubtedly toxic individual of old has gone missing. This Alonso is a real team player - telling the team to relax because everyone, including him, will make mistakes and make more under pressure. He’s really supporting Stroll too and driving brilliantly too. He’s definitely in a happy place.
I still don't like rich people, but this piece made me realise that Lance isn't a bad kid.

Hear me out and don't judge. His father is indeed the owner of Aston Martin, but if Lance doesn't have the skills, I don't think he would've been on the podium because of his dad's influence? Idk, I can think of one person who's dad is rich, but sucks so much at driving that everyone wonders how he got his seat in the F1 grid (not the current one)

It's a good thing that Lance wasn't banned from cycling, despite the risk. In hindsight, those broken wrists were arguably the best thing that ever happed to Lance. That accident, coupled with his performance in his first race afterwards, had an extremely positive effect on his credibility with (most) F1 fans. This interview pre-dates the accident but is still well timed. Being aired relatively soon after the accident, it will only further enhance his stature within the community. Coupled with a competitive car (outside of the Red Bulls), things are coming together with Lance. This year has the potential to be his best season yet. I suspect that the opinion of Lance will be drastically different at the end if 2023, than it was at the end of 2022.
He should have left him in the woods.
I saw this interview on the weekend on Sky. It's getting pretty annoying to see the typical Canadian stereotypes of Canada just being a country of snow and skiing and being outside sitting by a fire. I was half waiting for you to find a moose and polar bear to walk by.
But this is literally where he lives. It's not about Canadians, it's about Lance
