    I just had cataract surgery one day ago on my right eye. When I woke up the first thing I noticed was I could read the screen near my bed in recovery. And when I got home I could see the tv very clearly. I’ve been nearsighted my entire life so I was so excited. My right eye was corrected to 20/25 . Ican’t wait for my left cataract to be removed. I’ll still have to wear glasses but I was in the minus 9.3 to 9.8. My glasses will be normal looking when my left eye is done and healed and normal looking with no hangover. I can’t wait.

    I had cataract surgery two weeks ago on my left eye. My distance vision is much better than before, but it was blurry immediately after surgery and that has not changed.
    My near vision in my left eye is now perfect. I can read the smallest words on my iPhone.
    Is it possible my doctor accidentally implanted a near vision lens instead of the distance vision lens I had chosen

    I work as a Deputy Sheriff and there is a potentional that I will deal with someone violent on a daily basis! Im scheduled for surgery in two weeks and II'm wondering when I can be 100 percent certain I'm not risking damaging the surgery! I have considerable leave and can take as much leave as needed but my question is how long should I take? I really do not want to take any chances!

      My wife is 65 Years old and she had Cataracts removed in 2019 she sees better but everyday she gets eye boogers like long strings in both of her eyes I have to remove several times a day with Cutips the Optomolgist said it's normal and told us to use Patady eye drops which is over the counter. I have bought her about every type of eye drops we could find and everyday it's the same old thing. she said it feels like several Eyelashes in her eyes everyday and it's painful. I sure hope you don't go through that.

    Hi doc, Which refractive surgery should I choose ,tPRK , Lasik, or Smile, to best avoid difficulties in future cataract surgery? I have high myopia (-10.0 D) and is currently planning to have Smartpulse tPRK but worry if it will make my cornea too weak for future cataract surgery. Please give me some advice. thanks

      Take moringa leaves. SHADE dry them.for .7 days and then powderise. Take 1 teaspoon and add boiling water and steep for 30 min. Drink 2-3 times daily. Also, use this tea as eye drops 3-5 times a day. You'll see the Magic! GOD'S AMAZING Magic! But the leaves MUST be shade dried, not sundried and not boiled. Dont thank me, thank God 🙏💥

    First ❤of all you can do it! 80? You're the last generation with grit. Make sure you have painkillerss easily to hand. You won't be given painkillers (because no one has pain, 1st lie!) Don't worry about pain, you can handle it easily. Remember they take about 20 -30 minutes to kick. Don't be like me and wait for it the pain to go off naturally, it doesn't. You had better tell the dr/nurses dealing with you about the painkillers before you go home!
    The next day, don't worry if people have said that they can see flowers on a tree a mile away, 2nd lie. You will be lucky if you can see more than a grey fog. People don't mean to lie but they do exaggerate! Practical advice. Make up enough meals and freeze them. Eggs, bread, milk whatever is your staple get in enough to last a week. Get enough clothes organised and to hand, move stuff out of the way so you don't trip over it. Have water by the bed, organise your pills you usually take by the day, carefully so no stressing about taking the wrong one when you can't see well. Make sure your phone, tablet ect is charged up and in a place where you don't have to bend over. You mustn't bend over. I put a scarf around my neck to remind me! Unless you are Diabetic or something, a bag of jelly fruits is a nice treat to have in the bedside drawer. Don't panic, just think of what else you might need? Were you in the Guides or Scouts? You know the motto "Be Prepared" and you will get through this like a knife through butter. You are prepared...they know what they are doing.... what can go wrong? So chin up!
    I'm thinking that if this foggy eye doesn't improve, I'll buy a Parrot and get a wooden leg fitted, get it? Change of Career!!! I am joking, in case you don't know British Humour!!! Good Luck!

    How successful is cataract surgery for someone who's waited about 12 years to do it? I guess I was scared and now my vision has gotten more white recently in the last 5 days, very hard to see much of anything I feel like there was some sort of a hemorrhage cuz I can close my eyes and see read all inside my eye but the field division is the same. Some days it is a little sharper and other days very cloudy and blurry. I'm seeing an eye doctor soon but I'm worried I waited too long what do you think?

    Had it at 69, 20/20 one eye 20/25 the other, but you lose your up close vision. The things they don't tell you, most of us have been wearing glasses since we were kids, glasses protect your eyes from all manner of foreign agents, like bacon grease, the weed eater, the list goes on and on. I learned the hard way. Also you lose vision and depth perception up close, was working on staked peppers in the garden and ran a stake in my eye I had no idea it was there. Wore hard contacts when I was a kid, so I was preconditioned, you're gonna know they're there.

    • @AZHITW
      @AZHITW Před 4 měsíci +1

      You can get lenses that will correct long distance and well as closeup vision but you have to pay out-of-pocket because Medicare doesn't cover them because they are considered "cosmetic." I chose the mono focal lenses because I needed my long-distance vision to drive and it's the only lense Medicare covers. I've worn glasses since seventh grade (I'm in my mid 70s) so wearing glasses to read isn't a problem. I have my left eye done April 3, 2024, and my right eye done on April 10. Left eye is 20/20 and right eye is still a little blurry from surgery (3 days ago). I had dry eye before cataract surgery so if dry eye is a result of cataract surgery, I won't know the difference since I already had dry eye issues. The testing for cataracts took more time that the surgery, I am very pleased with my results thus far.
