I shop fresh every 3 days locally. My fridge is clean and fresh and spacious. My freezer is just meats, broth, veg. Just one small freezer. In Europe we like fresh. We like quality rather than clutter. We also cook fresh. Quality of life is more important than accummilation. We like cafe's, eating out, and fresh on the day.

In Europe. We do not clutter as much as USA. We also dont use credit cards as much. We live within our means. Credit card owning would freak us out. Experiences mean more to us than stuff.

My husband had dementia which had ALMOST claimed him . He had a blleed in his brain 14yrs ago, covid twice another smaller bleed on his brain and was so afraid of what was happening to him . I nursed him at home with help from drs nurses and carers. Each illness left him weaker and more dependent. I talked to god , i said please dont let him die a ctm at a time, please, if you want him just make the next bleed a huge one , and take him. Thats exactly what happened. He had a masdive bleed ,lived just long enough for us all to say goodbye and then passed away 6mths ago. We were married 44 yrs and together 49 years. I haven't cried a single tear since he died in my arms at home as he wanted. Im still numb. Dont want to see anyone dont want to go anywhere dont want to do anything. I just feel, whats the point!

I'm curious if anyone has done studies where the relationship with nature- creatures, plants is contrasted with the relationship with people and then the relationship with patterns or colors. For myself, the intense sensory overload is intensely pleasureable when it is nature or music I like or a hot bath or something beautiful or soft or quiet. So I was trying to imagine myself taking that face/geometrical color ball thingy test as a child and I would have been fascinated with the ball because of the pleasure for me in the colors, not because of any fascination with patterns. I have an aversion to geometric patterns because they feel extra bad on my senses.

This is great. I've always wondered how the Bible explains suffering with Bart Ehrman.

This brings up a quagmire of philosophical debates. Is reality subjective to the observers perspective? Can we bend our realities to our wills? Do we manifest our own reality based on desire or thoughts? Why are some people seemingly fortunate in all areas of their lives and others plagued with misfortune? Is reality a simulation that has been preprogrammed? If so then who is the architect? God? Gods? Or perhaps we are all caught up in someones dream. Maybe we are like the Whoos in Whooville, living out our entire lives on a snowflake. Are we part of a much larger beings atomic matrix? What is time then? A human construct to mark progression between known events to make a historical accounting of collective experiences? What came before this universe? How many Earths have there been? How many exist now in plurality? Is there another you asking the same thing in another version of Earth in another timeline? An alternate reality. If you could meet yourself or another version of you, what would you talk about? Would you even want to?

I disagree with a couple points. First. The US governmental structure is segmented in responsibility, not hierarchical. Our cities, counties, states, and federal government have different responsibilities due to different abilities to interact and respond. These responsibilities are enumerated in the constitution. If the federal government cut taxes greatly and cut involvement in social welfare then local governments would be able to increase local taxes and better respond to those needs and would be more accountable for their actions or inactions. Sadly our president and federal leaders have campaigned and grown wealthy legislating in areas they can't address appropriately or be held accountable because of their separation from the intimate issues. Second. Joe Biden has campaigned for a long time on gravely serious sinful issues. Abortion, homosexual marriage and transgenderism are all very serious and to be a president and grant acceptance to and push for government purchase of these practices is directly participating in mortal sin. If he said that he believes them wrong but his party has such a platform, that may be different. I take the Eucharist extremely serious. To take the Eucharist without being in a state of grace is akin to death as hell is forever while this world is fleeting. By encouraging people to be in mortal sin how much worse can he do. Third. And I thank you for your words about Pope Francis. They have caused me to put an effort to look closer at his intentions. He has still stayed close to the world elite at the WEF and the UN. I understand as you said a responsibility to creation but he is buying into propaganda and thus leveraging global politics. If he kept his attention on faith and morals he would be more respected as on those subjects he is beyond reproach, but on these other things he is used as a political tool and leads people into oppression.
