Well explained, doctor. I underwent right eye cataract surgery on 4th December and left eye on 11th December. I am using antibacterial eye drop and as well as eye lubricant several times regularly and going for periodically check up. I have used mono focal Acrysof IQ Alcon USA as IOCL. I am 78 years old. Today I will collect my specs. Now I can see the small letters on my iPad. But while using iPhone, I have to hold the phone little distance to see the small letters.
The surgery was event less and I don’t have any discomfort. But still I am using eye drops regularly and using dark glasses while going out. I am prescribed Nepafenac Opthalmic Solution eye drops, thrice daily. I took antibiotics tablets twice daily for 5 days for each eye. I am glad that medical science has developed to an extent level now a days.
Such a wonderfully clear explanation! You must visit New Zealand. I underwent cataract surgery in Auckland as a private patient. It appears they are primarily focused on making money as they did not provide me with thorough explanations. The consultation was brief and the eye examination was quickly done. A few weeks later, the surgery was completed. During the follow-up appointment for the operated eye, they inquired about scheduling another surgery for the other eye.
Very informative, and comforting video. I am age 75 and living in U S A for over 50 years.. Had may surgery 6 days ago . Since then , have been watching so many related videos, and this is the BEST I found. My surgen also gave me all the instructions for after the procedure care., still I felt this one more comforting. Thank you veru much.
Thank you for the clear explanation.
If some irritation in the eye, as if something in the eye, persists even after 2 months, what needs to be done?
Thank you for the explanations. Had cataract surgery last week. Very informative.

Thank you Dr. I had cataract surgery on the 85h April 2024 and would like to kniw the safest way to clean off the residual eye drops from my eye lashes and eye lida? Thanks for your advise.❤
Dr. What is eye drop surgeryand is it safe and better.
Doctor, it has been 4 days since surgery and I still cannot read: the letters are blurry at any distances and some parts or letters disappear, blend, distorted. I had EDOF Toric installed in one eye at the moment. Do you think it could still improve?
I see items as if I’m in a contact lens.
I had light issues only first 2 days, I don’t have any light intolerance now and never wore dark glasses in the house. It feels like I got my usual contact lens in the eye which you wore a whole day and the eye got irritated and you want to take it out to put on glasses so the vision is a bit blurry, only you don’t feel your eye is irritated now with IOL inside. It’s just my vision is like this a bit blurry foggy at times and vision comes and goes, fluctuating.
