Can't wait for them to come up but haven't hunted in like ten years so when they usually up in Southeastern Ohio I was thinking middle of April but would like your opinion
I wish people would stop makin things I love popular. Don't be mad when you see your mushroom spot is all hunted out. You'll deserve it. I see mine gettin hit that ive found. Lonesome feeling. Have a goodin.
Why are you not using potato or onion sacks to let the spores out as you walk? This is one of the major reasons for not finding mushrooms where you always had before.
My wife and I were hoping to visit Michigan and mushoom hunt. How far north from Indiana do we have to go to stand a chance of finding something. It would have.to be public land of course. Any tips?
We get ours north and south. Ohio they usually grow around may. But any state up around here with public should be great. Good luck! We hope you find tons.
Boys I'd need a set of binoculars to see them shrooms through your camera until you zoom in. Them big yellows are the same color as the leaves. Great hunt though.
Nice! What state & county? BTW the video is not defined enough for us to see them from a distance as is your intent like you can see them, you need a better camera to do that. Awesome finds!
Why dont you guys cut em instead of pinching? Youre putting dirt in your bag. If you cut em just below the cap theyll be clean when you get home and you wont even need to wash em.
If you let a gray keep growing for about a week, it turns into a yellow. Try it out. I have experimented with them several times. Morchella esculenta is what I am refering to. When a big yellow (morchella esculenta) is a baby, it will be grey.
@@zachbrown128 Then how do you explain the yellows that are the same size as small greys? I have found MANY tiny yellows and also many large non yellows
Super nice size morels!! Timing was spot on in this find! Good hunt.
instablaster
I've watched a few times from your neighbors in pa happy Easter 🐣 good hunting this spring men!!
Nice finds but I agree, spread them spores. I find an onion sack works great. Happy hunting this year it’s almost time down here in the south!
Having any luck? I live in georgia some of my spots are producing a few and some arent.
A cheap zippered laundry bag works best. Onion bags sometimes tears morels apart.
Fun video. Going on a long hike tomorrow in Central IL to find some morels. Wish me luck!
Cody thanks. Good luck, hope you find tons.
Love this stuff!
Just found my first little grey morel today in Missouri , I'll go back for it in a week or so (:
So almost time to take off work for a few weeks
Nice haul! At 17:05, I thought I saw a small clump of ramps.
I from PA-OH-WV , did not see them last week, I check this week Some nice morels you picked WTG I subs to your channel HH Morels
Great haul. I cut mine with a knife so I don't accidentally pull the roots
Damn . . . U guys really scored BIG
yo good finds but get some net bags to spread them spores
Crooked D 420 we forgot them. Next time 👍😊
That's a myth unless you plan on picking immature morels... By the time us humans get to picking them, they have already released their spores...

U guys are having fun
Just found my first mushroom two day's ago. Still early yet.

I live in SW Pennsylvania and from now until May is prime time. Check your spots once every week.
@@tittyrino Should I only look by the recommended trees or should I look around?
Thank you
Great haul but try mesh bags instead of plastic bags

Nice, although you should use mesh bags to drop spores instead of plastic bags. You'll get more shrooms!
Just a myth
Why are you not using potato or onion sacks to let the spores out as you walk? This is one of the major reasons for not finding mushrooms where you always had before.
This has been proven wrong. Granted I'd probably still do it anyway.
Yeah use onion bags, popsicle bags, like a mesh bag. Spread them spores around as you walk.
Use opinions bags to put your mushrooms in and they’re be back at the same spot nexts year.
no plastic bag to keep mushroms from a mycologin in Switzerland. Have a nice time in forest

When do morels pop around sycamores? An ash for that matter.. I find them big small huge alive an dieing and still haven't found any around those

Did you see the young ginseng plants in the end of the video? I seen at least 4.
I also seen some young ginseng in the video. Who else seen the young plants?
Are you looking on your own land, public land or land for which you have permission to be on?
Nice! What state & county? BTW the video is not defined enough for us to see them from a distance as is your intent like you can see them, you need a better camera to do that. Awesome finds!
What county? Last year meigs county was on fire
Go where there has been a forest fire and you will find them.
we better pack up and move to california
In wv you’ll hardly ever find them under pines
I saw like 30 they missed at the edges of the camera
Why dont you guys cut em instead of pinching? Youre putting dirt in your bag. If you cut em just below the cap theyll be clean when you get home and you wont even need to wash em.
Like picking sallet or greens, same thing. Pick clean so it stays cleaner. To each their own though.
don't put them in a plastic bag they need air or they will spoil soon.
Just yanking them from the ground and not using a mushroom bag???
Spend 4$ on a mesh bag and for heavens sake don’t “yank the roots”.
@Mkues Frago 4 bucks on a mesh bag?? Buy a sack of onions you're gonna eat anyway and use that
A yellow is the same thing as a grey. The yellows have just been alive longer.
Zach Brown no
Black and yellow morels are not the same thing. This is a old timer myth
If you let a gray keep growing for about a week, it turns into a yellow. Try it out. I have experimented with them several times. Morchella esculenta is what I am refering to. When a big yellow (morchella esculenta) is a baby, it will be grey.

Your camera is not good enough to spot them
Don't use plastic bag you do that wrong if you going to teach people do right
