Do you know when to head out for them based on ground temp? I live in Southern Ontario and nobody hunts for blacks around here, including me. I want to get out and try this year and see how I do. You recommend shag bark, big tooth aspen? Good luck this season!
@@whisker_biscuit_outdoors1385 I normally start finding my early yellows starting around April 25th. At least the last few years. You're probably right about the beginning of May. As for Shagbark, I don't really know any spots that have a whole lot of it. It's usually one here or one there in the spots that I know of. Not sure how much that matters, but I'll probably give them a look and see anyways. Good luck this season brother looking forward to more content

This is hard to watch... everything is counter productive... pulling has been shown to be better and mesh bags just grind mushrooms up.
