    If you're going to advertise a microphone, you know what would be cool? If you said "This ad was recorded using the headset." at the end. That might actually be persuasive. As long as the quality doesn't in fact suck.

Think the block might need reseated or something tho, TJ hits around 80°c while edge is down around 45-50°c.. but still, this card is running way harder than it was ever intended, and handling anything I throw at it like a champ! • @devilmikey00
      @devilmikey00 Před 5 lety +1

      Not the first time. AMD did the same thing with the R9 290/290x. Forced AIB's to wait months before they were allowed to sell their models. The 290/290x had even worse coolers than these cards. My guess is AMD gets a bigger cut of the profits from their reference models so they delay partners from selling theirs until they've met some internal number of reference models sold.

    • @foxyy_cs

      Delays are caused by RDNA chips shortage. AMD and NVidia also want these custom cards because these custom cards are doing all the sales. Water cooling can make sense for graphics cards already owned if 1) selling those cards won't generate significant revenue, and 2) buying a faster card is not an option. It all comes down to the numbers and whether one is willing to go to the trouble. I have a non-daily use system with two 980Tis, and water cooling was the only way to control the temps. The results are remarkable. I went from 82C/65C to 55C/45C under a typical game load, and in applications that scale reasonably in SLI, I get roughly 2080 performance. That said, nobody should go out today and buy a pair of 980Ti cards to water cool. A 2080 costs significantly less than two used 980Tis and an EK cooling loop.

      it's the exact opposite with amd gpu's they usually gain up to 10 or 15% in performance compared to release...vega 56/64, rx480/580.
