Night of Musica I wholeheartedly agree with you. They never gave it the opportunity as they did with the other Star Trek series. (IMO)
When it first aired I only watched about 3 episodes. I didn't give it another look until now. I have just binge watched all four seasons. It got better as it moved forward. Really a good series!

I *really* miss "Enterprise" - it had a sort of...freshness (for lack of a better word) that TNG & the later variations don't have. The series that followed the Xindi attack on earth was gripping - I made sure to watch every single episode of that. It was truly outstanding, & I can't believe it was cut :( It was genuinely creative, the characterisation was strong, it was all very good indeed. Its producers should be very proud of it. And it had an *brilliant* theme song w/ excellent visuals.
Ermm . . . "Enterprise" was LATER than TNG. But I know what you mean: Earthlings still trying to figure things out . . . encountering things that (to them) were entirely new, entirely BIZARRE & entirely FRIGHTENING!
I always thought I can never watch another star trek series after the Star trek original series was over. I did watch Next Generation for couple of seasons but wasnt a big fan of it. I started watching Enterprise just a month back and binged watched all the seasons and I was so sad that it ended so abruptly. The ending did not make any sense at all. Enterprise gonna be my second best star trek series after the original. Wish they had done more seasons. I too really miss Enterprise. Theme song is the best star trek song ever!!

It happened because when Les "Sexual Harassment" Moonves took over at CBS, he didn't like sci-fi and Star Trek even less. One of his first orders was to kill Star Trek.
I love the Star Trek Enterprise Series. Have watched every episode of the series. The intro Music sung by Russell Watson is fantastic. Brilliant actors, I felt as if I was there with them on the Enterprise. Will definitely miss the series, the brilliant acting, and the great stories.

Russell Watson is one of the UK's top tenors and best known as a classical performer, however for me this is a beautiful song and wish he'd perform it in the UK more so everyone can appreciate his talent as a great singer

Well, perhaps those that do not appreciated the show because of the song, are not truly Trekkies! I am not a trekkie per se, but I am a fun of every single Star Trek they have made. And I found Enterprise amazing! The Xindi story was also amazing.
Towards the end, however, Archer seemed exhausted of always saving the day.
Oh btw, "Where My Heart Will Take Me" (aka Faith of the Heart) and "The Motion Picture" (aka TNG's theme) are both the best Star Trek themes ever! One is Star Trek's epic theme and the other is Star Trek's spirit!

They cut it because the majority of "Trekkies" didn't like it. And aparently a majority of that majority didn't like it because the theme song had lyrics in it. Honestly though, if you don't like this song and therefore hate the series you are screwed up.
The series was not cancelled because of Trekkies not liking the series,... The network ran out of money to continue the series...

That was informative - thanks :) "Enterprise" was good because it had just the right mix of Trekky stuff & alien technology, with recognisably human behaviour - which is where TNG falls down. Oh, and because it was set before the time of Kirk & Co. It was strange, but not too weird.

Love all the ST Theme songs from the TV Series but # I-II-III-IV were all Instrumental # V "ENT" was the first Vocal one ever was a great and interesting change of pace from the Previous 4 Series.

@TJNorton1 - sorry.. Rod's version was ONLY used in Patch Adams .. Enterprise in Australia definitely used the Russell Watson version - I cansee how you would think its the Rod version, but its not.

Do me a favour .. watch an episode of Enterprise after listening to Rod Stewart's version and this fellow.
I don't know what the deal is where you are .. but Rod Stewart's version was used in the Australian broadcast of Enterprise.
It's not uncommon for shows that screen internationally to use different songs .. most notably smash hit show Las Vegas. In the US it used "A Little Less Conversation" whereas here it used "Let It Ride"
I still have no idea ohw can people confuse the voice of Rod Stewart with Rusell Watson, they sound nothing alike.

By the way .. Rod Stewart did the version for Enterprise and most famous for it. I've had this song on my iPod for over a year now and up to recently didn't even know who Russell Watson was.
