TOW TRUCK Rescues SEMI DESTROYED BY HUGE ElK!!

- In this episode of Murphys Diesel, Wrecker Rick gets the call and had to go. Wrecker Rick was told it was a collision and truck was blocking lanes of traffic on the interstate. Once him and Hotrod got on scene in our new 1150 rotator tow truck, they learned that this 80,000 Semi collided with a 500lb Elk and destroyed the front end of the truck! Upon arriving on scene, Wrecker Rick quickly hooks up to truck and pulls it off the highway with his heavy tow truck.
75 Miles East - Michael was in the other 1150 rotator, Martin Riggs, on another call where a box truck veered off the road and rolled over.
Wrecker Rick and Hotrod finished up their accident and Hotrod headed over to check in with Michael and take a look at the rollover he was dealing with.

One nite I went to happy Jack 11 southwest forest industries.just off long valley on road to lake Mary n Flagstaff . Had CTI delivering bulk cement to portable batch plant . 1976 driving a 67 ford pickup with a headlight pointing to bar ditch . A doe ran right into that light and broke her neck . I loaded her in trk took to job site . Hands on job site hung and butchered right on way from there an elk did same thing aiming at light 2 with one ford . . That one took help to load . Best huntin I ever did ! Next morning had venison stew for breakfast at job site . .. u all have a good one !

I drove a 1-ton van for 4 years doing Expedited freight. My biggest fear was a big buck in the highway. Wish I’d installed a Cattle Gaurd and then I could just drive through him, instead of swerving to miss and crashing …
My first pickup had a front bumper made out of gas well casing 4inches by 3/8 cold rolled, hit several deer at 55 only slowed to 50, they all bounced off and were dressed out by natives and hanging in a hour and my friend lost his license to drive he had an old Ford Fairlane and cut a 40 gallon drum in 2 and welded the pieces end to end and bolted it to his grill and bumper, he was arrested for trespassing twice and destruction of property chasing deer through a farmer's cornfield with his car. They sent him to Bellevue nervous hospital.
Big job or small job we watch them all

Beautiful video. Such a bull, Rick there you see what 400, or 500 kg for a bump make, if the driver is not paying attention well enough and careless just at night and forest / bush areas, where actually, you must always expect game. As you often say, laugh etc.

When you work tyhe hours that heavy wrecker people put in--the days/nights all run together sometimes. One day ids the same as next. When busy--just go from one job to another. You have to take the calls when they are coming in to pay the bills-'cuz the bills always coming in.
Let me know. I have been doing he y recovery for 4.5 yrs and been in towing industry for over 12 years. I’m down to make that money any time of day or night. Nice job. Getting the highway cleaned off

If you could find a old Sherman Tank or tanks you could get a really rare engine for HellBoy, some had a 9cylinder radial engine like the B-29 used some used a SXS detroit diesel twin and some used a chrysler 20 cylinder 5 bank engine ,BUT the real hellish rompin stompin engine was a V-8 gasoline engine by Ford 18.6 liters or 1135 cubic inches, dam if you could find 2 one for parts HOLYCRAP. Gotta be some surplus army tank depos out there, Hell HeavyDSparks keeps findin all sorts of stuff out there maybe he knows or has some that's his channel by the way He's a good guy. He went out to california when they got that blizzard and helped a neighborhood get unstuck, just offered what he had to the state plus his volunteers.
That second truck might be a Shredder truck looks like maybe you know for shredding paper that iron Mountain some kind of services nice box, , I would love a box like that to make a stacker trailer out of , if there is not a lot of repairs that are needed thanks bailys go over on gentry and sons trucking and tell them about your Baily’s thanks BigAl California

A little early for an elk strike generally 2 to 4 am. You know when it is that nasty cold air in the morning at gets you. Nice job.
How do you prefer to wrap your chains when securing the front axles to the under tow
5/16x10’ grade 100 over the leaf spring, under the t-head, around the axle, back to the receiver, then use the tail wrapped around the 2 legs to take the slack out.
I have my new guys use 3/8 omega chains with a binder. I have a few other guys that use axle straps

We do when adot allows us to do it, or forces us too. I have a hard enough time getting paid on what we’re billing for without added traffic control.
