  • This is a tactic i learnt off better players and i thought this would be great for everyone else who's having a hard time fighting against turn fighters in their BNZ fighter. MAKE SURE WHEN YOU DO THIS MOVE, YOUR AT HIGH SPEED!
    add your own flavor to this move, but make sure you have enough horse power to get away from your enemy :)

XD It's just so fun. And I'm not really agressive mostly I fly at around 5000m to 6500m height and wait for people to come for me or climb to attack our bombers. I keep our high altitude airspace clear from enemy fighters and I stay up there I don't go down. In the event in september I tried everything to get my 50% battle activity I mostly got at least 10 kills but it was so stressful so I'm happy to get 2 or 4 kills at high altitude. xD

    Just moments ago I was flying my Bf 109 F-4 at 6km when I run into a Yak-3 Baguette-version. I have an altitude advantage so I think it'll be easy! I avoid his head on, but he turns around and starts gaining on me. I think "oh crap, what would Green Fury do?" Obviously, "shallow dive" is the first thought, but he's still gaining on me! But at least I now have time to think. If I can lure him low, maybe my allies can help. So I do this twice, he gets distracted by another 109, I do a high yo-yo and blow his wing off. I don't think I perform any of your maneuvers right, but know that when I fly, I think of your guidance and it magically gets me wins anyways.

      @Hunt3rK3nw4y Před 2 lety +3

      @@bobuboi4643 I'll politely disagree on this. The vertical loop or vertical tactics of the Zero were commonly used against the F4F Wildcat (which was the most common carrier fighter of the USN from '41 - '42). The F4F Wildcat was very heavy and had a very underpowered engine making its performance kind of sluggish but it had very good armor though its pilots were also undertrained in focused dogfighting. The Zero, lighter and faster with a great engine, would bait Wildcats into the vertical to force them to stall and then loop back around to finish the Wildcat off. The F6F Hellcat was developed to directly counter the Zero itself hence why it was given an extremely powerful 2200 hp Pratt & Whitney two-stage supercharged radial engine to negate its weight and increase both its speed and range performance. The Hellcat also had a lot very good armor which made it even tougher for Zeroes to shoot down while the Zero could be ripped apart by the Hellcat's 6 x .50 calibers. The Hellcat both outran, out-armored, was equal to a Zero on the vertical but out-dived the Zero because of its engine, strong airframe and sheer weight. By '43 - '45, the Zero's ability to practically dogfight the Hellcat was diminished not just because it was outperformed but the Japanese also didn't have enough time to train their pilots. US Fighter pilot training also was much more focused after 1941 to give the US pilots more flight hours and strong training to understand how to dogfight not to mention the veteran rotation system where veterans were rotated out to teach new pilots and conserving the experience of the troops. The Zero is a great fighter and it made its mark but the Hellcat came to destroy its reputation and legacy to create its own. The Vought F4U Corsair is just a Hellcat but made to go faster so that's another story.

I used your maneuver and found that they had trouble catching up to me witch let me bring the fight to him for the most part when I wanted...good video..served me well.

      I like to Fly a Mix of USSR and UK crafts. Spitfires have great performance when it comes to furball / dog fighting. But in early / mid tiers they suffer with having a Float-Carburetor. And you can sometime trick them into killing their own engine by tricking them into a sudden maneuver downwards. It's sometime effective for killing their engines making them lose some momentum while they race to restart the engine.
      When it comes to me playing USSR craft, I generally try to keep some speed and occasionally do some light turn fighting with Landing flaps. But I avoid extended fights where I bleed a lot of energy. If I don't get the kill within a few shots, I often try to disengage and gain some speed / altitude and try again. USSR crafts are great in general performance and can get the job done well. But it takes certain flying / fighting styles to do well in any specific nation's craft. UK is good for aggressive fighting and maneuvering, while USSR is good for paced fighting that doesn't lead to drawn out dogfights. So spacing a fight timing is key to doing well. Similar can be said for US aircraft.

You shouldn't turn right into his firing angle at 2:03 unless you really intend to dive some more and drag him to the deck. Could have pulled up and extend away instead and then set him up for a baiting trap of the rope a dope or chandele.

This helps to dissuade persurers from continuing the fight with a damaged aircraft, but some pilots don't give up that easily. That's when having a wingman or situationally aware teammate close really helps to save my bacon if a bandit gets on my six at lower altitudes.

    Say you're in a BoomNZoom plane and the turn fighter on your 6 is a 109. Would the shallow climb still work for you or would the 109 have the advantage since it has a faster climb rate than most BoomNZooms?

    Note to Spitfire's, if a 109 dives to the deck dont chase him, he will then focus you and shallow climb like shown here. Pull of ans keep an eye on him. He might end up fighting someone else on the deck, loosing his speed from his dive, and not having altitude to regain it. Then dive in and gank him

    The only problem with this tactic is that when doing the high yo-yo, a good Pilot will see this and disengage, wait for you to get on their tail and then get you in a turning engagement you can't win.

    I have a problem with this :
    You make him follow your high speed vertiacal loops till he bleeds more energy. Then climb a bit and attack from higher energy state.Classic Bf 109 strategy. BUT what if he does not follow your steep fast dive at 2:12 ??? What if he follows you from higher altitude while you are committed to the dive and rapidly losing your energy? What if he chases you from above in his faster plane (Spitfire LF mk9) using very shallow dive? Then... then you are dead (in 1v1 situation).
    Diving to the deck vs a good Spitfire pilot is rarely a good idea.

    if youre up against planes like F4u or P47 or P51 its almost impossible to outspeed them on the deck if they are diving before this.

  • @CuttinEJ
    @CuttinEJ Před 6 lety

    Just what I wanted to see. That tactic leads to the high yoyo, not straight at them and then over the top from your earlier video. Would this be a good move for the La9?

    • @GreenFuryGaming
      @GreenFuryGaming  Před 6 lety

      La9 is made for the deck, i guess the question should be, are you faster than them. la9 is in a weird spot isnt it at 6.0 br?

    • @CuttinEJ
      @CuttinEJ Před 6 lety

      Green Fury, I have a hard time figuring out how to use the La7s and the 9. It took me quite a while to catch on to how to use the P51. Your videos made that possible. But I still have a hard time with planes like the P47 and 109s. This video added something important to my knowledge base.

    • @CuttinEJ
      @CuttinEJ Před 6 lety

      BladderMuffin, if gaijin allows you to win, you win. When they mark you for the baby seal squad, there's not a damn thing you can do, in any plane, that will score a kill. I just got out run, out turned and out climbed by a bomber in my P47N. I fired over 1000 rounds at him. I bet 800 hit. 1 crit and 3 hits is all I got for my effort. Another plane killed him with 1 short burst. I didn't even get an assist. But I got my engine AFU and killed by an invisible 109 just a few seconds later. Gee that was fun.
