I had a Bariatric surgery over a year ago, I stopped losing weight 8 months after surgery, I exercise and eat healthy. I decided to fast after the year mark, i have started to lose weight again and feel great.

Fasting for Ramadan 18 months PO and it’s going well I just miss being able to drink 104oz of water daily😢

Thanks Dr A you always answer my questions without even asking😊.. am already started Muslim fasting and it's the easiest in my life.. but my problem is I can't drink enough water it still pains alittle am 8 months now after my sleeve done.. many thanks from Egypt ❤️❤️

@Kim Donner unfortunately no.. but I think it's just me .. maybe I don't like water 😅.. because my relative was able to drink lots of water after surgery .. I can drink falvored water ,tea and hot drinks are my favorites it comforts my sleeve

I used to drink alot of water before my sleeve and now night drink water with a little bit of squash (no sugar added) as water feels heavy on my stomach and with the squash I can drink up to 2L a day.

It's diluted juice, where I live they call it squash just make sure it's with no added sugar or sugar free.

You are absolutely right. I do fasting also 20 hrs my brain is so focus on whatever I do and it is funny I have so much energy and so active. The day I don't do fasting i felt like i dont have energy and my thinking is not like the day i do fasting.

I’m almost 10 years out from my VSG I had in MX (64 yr /US female) and am a Carnivore. I have been curious if fasting was advisable due to the limit of food I can consume in my eating window. I struggle with that 20 lbs even though I walk 1 to 1.5 hrs a day, eat clean but can never get back down to the “number” I did right after surgery.

There should be a gastric brain surgery that makes me not want to eat. I only lost 30 lbs after my sleeve. Fasting so hard
