Bro distant lands was a trip, it was a great continuation of the original. this episode broke me but was honestly the best goodbye the show could given us
Finn was so happy to have Jake back that he forgot he was gone. If he had remembered he would've gotten out sooner but he chose to stay and live with his bro
1- Episode isn't 20 years old 2- It was pretty expressly portrayed that Finn was being thrown into a flashback hallucination, and Jake was absent at the start of the episode
Literally says(sorry I forgot already lmao so paraphrasing) nice try pretty good hallucinations almost got my to think I'm young & Jake was still alive IN THE DAMn clip
That isn't being desensitized to such deaths. It only means that enough time has passed to ease the pain. I am sorry for your loss. I just don't want you walking around thinking you are desensitized to such things. You only had one brother named Jake. Every death hits in its own special way. Being old I have found life starts to take more and more away from me. Where as the start of my life was full of new people and places. The end of my life is watching everyone I ever cared about die and all the places I love change and become something different. It never gets any easier. Unless you have a screw loose.
That episode is so upsetting but it’s so funny when Finn found out that Jake could’ve ghost called him and Finn was all mad and Jake just said “I thought it would be to creepy” it really shows both of their characters
Adventure Time really lulled you into thinking it would just be some absurdist fantasy cartoon. When really it was a post apocalyptic and chaotic war zone were the main characters were remnants of a world that truly did not care about them. Marceline and her mom. PB and her candy family. Finn and Jake truly brought some hope into the world. And even they had their end. Jeremy did not have to go so hard with voice acting 😭✋ the show was just way too good for no reason. And the special where Jake remembers Finn is just.. this is how you pay homage to not only the viewers childhoods but the relationup between two best bros
I can’t be the only one that as I get older I realize cartoons wanted us to grow up depressed like we were watching courage the cowardly dog like it was funny just to realize it’s a dog whose being abused by his owner and then this show crushed me too bro
That bug made finn the happiest old man for just a little bit. Think about how often you get to so effectively relive your childhood. And have the strength to break out and have the memory of getting the past back just a lil bit
I pray this helps Psalm 55:22 and psalm 147:3 You have purpose in your pain Jesus loves you and will heal and reveal that purpose to you (Romans 8:28)❤️🩹
For confused fans of the original series: this is from a more recent addition called "Adventure Time: Distant Lands" that came out after the original series finale.
I watched this ever since I was little and finishing the show in 2017 made me cry for a couple months straight and then I watched distant lands. Then I watched the whole thing over again
What makes this is even more sad is that he still had both his arms (the bug maybe forgot about the gone arm and his old sword) and had his old sword and that was around season 1
@@randomspiker It’s not in the original series, they released a sort of mini-series like a couple of years ago that shows what happened after Adventure Time. This was the second-to-last episode.
@@berdly9357 thanks, I just watched the original start to finish and I kept seeing things that weren't in there. That clears up a lot of my confusion lol
@@montyskew1786If you aren't interested in all of them, I reccomend just "Obsidian" (the Marcelina and Princess Bubblegum story) and "Together Again" (this one about Finn and Jake) those 2 are the most worth it, and if you have time the BMO one because BMO rules!😅
It’s not foreshadowing, Adventure Time ended a WHILE ago and this episode came out a couple years ago, you can’t foreshadow something that already happened years prior
This isn’t foreshadow though we knew he lost his arm long before this episode came out the show ended around 2017 this is one of a couple specials called distant lands this one in particular is called together again and it came out in 2020
Huh? That's the whole point of this episode. It's Finn coming to terms and accepting that death comes for everyone, that it's scary and sad but something every living creature will experience, and that just because someone you love isn't here anymore, it doesn't mean they're gone. They're always with you, and always will be.
Bro I swear Adventure time fucked me up like my childhood like got so fucked up cause of it, I really feel like Adventure time was like not suppose to be a children's show

20 years? This show isn't that old no way! I'm looking this up
As someone who watched both shows multiple times it hits hard every time
This show has to be the most deep show for kids ever. Loved watching it
Yeah but over the garden wall is on the top
From what ive heard, the show was literally based on a drug trip.
Its a really good show for adults and kids to grow up on because they'll learn as they get older just like we did
I just wanna say RIP to the old Cartoon Network when this show was playing that network was in its golden era and we never knew so many good shows and may they all RIP
If yo homie ain’t willing to give up eternal peace for u, u don’t need them in yo life 💯👏👏
Claims Finn forgot Jake had died. Proceeds to show Finn being mind controlled by a bug.
He says the hallucination almost convinced him he was young again and that Jake was still alive. Listen and absorb don't just watch with your eyes.

@@specialtrades12 Because I think you guys just have a comprehension issue.
@rumblinplumblin The title claims he did forget Jake died. The video and your comment says he was ALMOST convinced. Meaning he didn't actually forget because he wasn't fully convinced. Or do you not know what ALMOST means? Do you have the comprehension issue?
Lost my pup the other day and this just reminds me of her. Miss that girl
Losing your best friend is the worst feeling. Reliving it is hell
Shit came like last year tho💀💀💀
Edit: For people who dont understand this clip is from adventure times distantlands is a newer show so shut up about ITs FrOm 2010🤓
Nah if you watched it as a kid then you would know when it came out
@@TRRGuero adventure distant lands came out 3 years ago so how does that work
Fr
@@TRRGuerothis specific episode came out 3 years ago dumbass it was part of a special batch of episodes
@@Depressed.1. That specific episode came out 3 years ago stop lying
Bro distant lands was a trip, it was a great continuation of the original. this episode broke me but was honestly the best goodbye the show could given us
Finn was so happy to have Jake back that he forgot he was gone. If he had remembered he would've gotten out sooner but he chose to stay and live with his bro
This made me want to go back and re-watch it
He lost the only family he had left and could handle thought of losing a brother
Wait,what about Jakes other brother
@@RippedScarf no know what happened to him but he didn't appear that much
1- Episode isn't 20 years old
2- It was pretty expressly portrayed that Finn was being thrown into a flashback hallucination, and Jake was absent at the start of the episode
Ppl will do anything to try to fit into a trend doesn’t take 20 years just paying attention to the story
Literally says(sorry I forgot already lmao so paraphrasing) nice try pretty good hallucinations almost got my to think I'm young & Jake was still alive IN THE DAMn clip
It took me 20 years to understand your comment.
Came to say this tyvm
This exactly. Adventure Time itself isn't even 20 years old
I never got around to watching this until I was older but I think my younger self needed this more
Nah Adventure time has to be the best like cartoon ever, so much lore, so much love, so much happiness, so much memories, so much tears….
Awh this broke my heart. My brother was named Jake. He died when I was 16. I’m only 22, but that pain never subsides. It just becomes desensitized.
I’m sorry to hear that, that’s a long time to deal with grief. Stay strong
Watching this must hit you hard then.. I’m sorry to hear your loss 😔 remember “one day at a time”
Sorry for your loss brother🕊
That isn't being desensitized to such deaths. It only means that enough time has passed to ease the pain.
I am sorry for your loss. I just don't want you walking around thinking you are desensitized to such things. You only had one brother named Jake. Every death hits in its own special way.
Being old I have found life starts to take more and more away from me. Where as the start of my life was full of new people and places.
The end of my life is watching everyone I ever cared about die and all the places I love change and become something different.
It never gets any easier. Unless you have a screw loose.
Well said brother! some just don’t know
That episode is so upsetting but it’s so funny when Finn found out that Jake could’ve ghost called him and Finn was all mad and Jake just said “I thought it would be to creepy” it really shows both of their characters
What episode was that?
LOL
What episode bro
I have a feeling this is a special episode they did after the finale, which personally i Dont count as canon
@@unholymemes988someone told me HBO did a more adult centric version.
This was my best friend’s favorite show. Rest easy Dakota 💔
The show hit different frfr 😢
Adventure Time really lulled you into thinking it would just be some absurdist fantasy cartoon. When really it was a post apocalyptic and chaotic war zone were the main characters were remnants of a world that truly did not care about them. Marceline and her mom. PB and her candy family. Finn and Jake truly brought some hope into the world. And even they had their end. Jeremy did not have to go so hard with voice acting 😭✋ the show was just way too good for no reason. And the special where Jake remembers Finn is just.. this is how you pay homage to not only the viewers childhoods but the relationup between two best bros
hmmmmmmmmmmm....................................................................ok? we all know that
At times, adventure Time is like its own creepypasta.
Took me 20 years to realize this show is 13 years old 😂

this scene made me almost cry cuz i realize everything was just the past and the future was sad
After my friend passed away I ended up watching this episode and cried through 90% of it, such a beautiful episode
I'm so sorry for your loss, bud
I’m so sorry to hear this ❤ I love you but not as much as your friend does
How ? Did he die in a crash or something?

@@berdly9357 thanks, I just watched the original start to finish and I kept seeing things that weren't in there. That clears up a lot of my confusion lol
The saddest thing is, that Finns greatest fear was that Jake would just melt on the spot and die...
I remember watching this as a kid and my dad said "wtf this is a kids show, wild" 😂😂😂
"Took me 20 years to realize something about a show that's only been put for 13 years"
And one that came out a year ago
So this is from Distant Lands?
Or whatever that lil spin-off was called.
I gave it a shot awhile back but couldn't get into it..
Together again i believe
@@montyskew1786If you aren't interested in all of them, I reccomend just "Obsidian" (the Marcelina and Princess Bubblegum story) and "Together Again" (this one about Finn and Jake) those 2 are the most worth it, and if you have time the BMO one because BMO rules!😅
Can’t lie though, if you were around 13 years ago, 13 and 20 years don’t seem too far off.
Its crazy cuz in the scene’s where he’s an old man you can see he has a robotic arm. Cool foreshadowing
It’s not foreshadowing, Adventure Time ended a WHILE ago and this episode came out a couple years ago, you can’t foreshadow something that already happened years prior
Fym foreshadowing, when he’s old is when the present is, this came out recently
You cant foreshadow the past idiot
You cant foreshadow the past idiot
This isn’t foreshadow though we knew he lost his arm long before this episode came out the show ended around 2017 this is one of a couple specials called distant lands this one in particular is called together again and it came out in 2020
He didn't forget Jake, he was hallucinating and merely pointed out that Jake isn't alive in his current time
Yeahh nahh that king worm episode was wilddddd 😭😭😭😭😭🥺
I just started crying that scene made me so sad all those adventures already happened and now jake is gone and fin is old and lonely 😞
Huh? That's the whole point of this episode. It's Finn coming to terms and accepting that death comes for everyone, that it's scary and sad but something every living creature will experience, and that just because someone you love isn't here anymore, it doesn't mean they're gone. They're always with you, and always will be.
He didn't forget he made peace
How do we know that the entirety of adventure time was just Finn’s Life flashing before his eyes?
He didnt forget, he lived the rest of his life denying it, he would accept any instance of Jake being back again
Bro I swear Adventure time fucked me up like my childhood like got so fucked up cause of it, I really feel like Adventure time was like not suppose to be a children's show
i love the sorts of shows that grow up with you, and make you connected with the characters as everyone grows up. then when it all ends you realize how much you've grown. and those shows are always great, like adventure time and steven universe. man, i love adventure time
this scene was like watching raw heartbreak
