Have you seen Huesera: The Bone Woman? I watched it on Shudder the other day and it has stuck with me because it was so good. I inadvertently did a triple-threat motherhood horror run of Still/Born, Birth/Rebirth, and Huesera and Huesera was easily my favourite of them.
Just saw Stop Motion in theaters on Wednesday and I would be surprised if it didn’t land in my personal top 5 by the end of this year. It was THAT good.
The Piper must have been Julian Sands last movie. He went missing in the CA mountains Jan 2023. Rip.
he was murdered,....
It's so sad:( looks like they still don't know what happened. People believe foul play which is horrifying.
@@filmfangirls9163 ok, it maybe, the number 13 its there.....
If only he had the fat of an unbaptised child.
@@lesleyrussell8200 He was a keen mountain hiker and went missing. Can you supply more info or a link which states that? Thanks. I've not seen anything to suggest that.
"The Woods Are Real (2024)"
It took us several years, but we've finally proven the existence of outside.
Ouch. Looks like a rough month for horror.
Yess nailing it everytime! Super excited to see Stopmotion
Amazing curatorial work as always!
Watched Shake Rattle & Roll Extreme yesterday with my brother, and I think it had a pretty great come back after the 7-year hiatus. My favorite segment was Rage; it reminds me of The Sadness so much, plus there was this infected with a chainsaw that also reminds me of Dr. Salvador from Resident Evil 4😂
So excited for StopMotion aaarrrggggghhhhh
Apart from the really good stopmotion parts, storytelling-wise, it's an absolute waste of time. What a bad film! Some of the worst acting I've seen in a while lol
Very excited for Stopmotion - I'm honestly surprised it's not playing at all here in theatres (at least not from what I can see), so I guess I'll wait until it comes on Shudder in April! Keep the anticipation going! :D Would love a come with me review for You'll Never Find Me, I hadn't heard of it and it sounds very intriguing!
Thanks for the upcoming list of films, Emma. Very much appreciate you putting together these videos for us every month. Looks like there will be quite a few films I'll be checking out this month. The most interesting to me are Amelia's Children, Night Shift, Frogman, Jonah and Room 0. Basically, any film with "mystery" in the category (horror/mystery, sci-fi/mystery, thriller/mystery, comedy/mystery).
It’s been so long since I watched your videos! I have missed you, Emma❤️😁 I love that you make a list so I can screenshot it and just enjoy listening to your information and videos❤❤
I’ve been here the whole time!
@@spookyastronauts I know!! I went and had a baby and it’s totally my fault lol but so glad to be watching your content again!! ❤️
Emma thank you for telling us about what coming in March vod or shudder or theaters
Thanks for the list! I currently feel like I´ve watched "everything" (not really, but you know), so I need more stuff to put on my watch list. The woods are real looks very interesting.
Spooky!!!! Waiting for ur review of stop motion please!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
It’s not out here :( so I have to wait for VOD
@@spookyastronauts I hope you find a way for an in theater experience!!! I’ve been felt so strongly about a movie needing to be experienced in theater! So visceral both in sound and visually!!! Can’t wait to hear your review anyhow though!
Stop Motion looks great! Thanks for the list.
I watched "Sweetie, You Won't Believe It" over the weekend. A great Kazakstan dark comedy that leans into slapstick humour with and a sprinkling of fun gore effects. Definetly a good rump-elstiltskin
Always great review as usual.
I enjoyed The Animal Kingdom quite a bit. Had no idea what it was going in and was pleasantly surprised. Very well done.
Really looking forward to The Animal Kingdom
7:08 of Course on Fing Shudder
Once again you made a great, easy to understand and exiting video, i wonder if the movie companies have seen you? they would be fools not to sponsor you and give you first access.
Thanks for the lost, good stuff
I saw "Stop Motion" the other day. It was good but not great. (I'm not a professional horror movie critic though) It could have been a lot better. I'll be interested to see your take on it when you see it.
These are some great movies to watch. Thanks.
great suggestions!
STOPMOTION WAS GOOD!!! I loved it so much, I already wanna rewatch it!
Animal kingdoms was excellent, highly original, though you can't help to compare it to Dr Moreau, but it's filmed beautifully, definitely a must see, 🤟
Have you seen the short Bobby Yeah by the director of Stopmotion? It apparently sent him on a bit of a spiral, partially inspiring this movie. Amelia and Night Shift are both…ok.
SHAKE RATTLE AND ROLL!!! YESSS!!! its already part16 actually hahaha 😊❤🇵🇭🔥💪
May Fave is SRR part3 (1990s)
Awesome 😎
Im so glad Night Shift will be on Netflix.Been trying to see this for ages since Lee McCoy reviewed it,
Ah! The Animal Kingdom is playing here at the french film festival, I had already planned to go see it on the big screen so I might hold out a week...
I just finished watching Stop Motion and it is definitely worth checking out. It is disturbing with some very creepy and especially towards the end, and gnarly scenes in it. The addition of stop motion figures only adds to it with some wonderful, obviously practical, effects. The Ash Man ( you'll know when you see it) is genuinely frightening and I am hoping he makes future appearances. A lot of newer horror movies are obviously influenced by Italian Giallo horror by mere addition of colourful lenses but here it is done properly and as a result is great to look at and heightens the sinister atmosphere. The cast are good as is the score and actually the sound design is highly effective. Amelia's Children (I've already got that lined up) and The Animal Kingdom look very interesting indeed.
Most of these look interesting to me will hope lots of them are good
I'm looking forward to Night Shift 🌙 & wondering if it includes the Siouxsie & The Banshees song of the same title 🤔.
Well, I'll have plenty to choose from after my foot surgery this month! 😄👍
Hope you have a speedy recovery ❤️
Thank you for giving some shoutout to Filipino horror films!
🤗🤗
Amelia's Children
Shake, Rattle, and Role
Jonah
The Animal Kingdom
Stopmotion
You'll Never Find Me (come with me review encourage)
These are the ones I am looking forward to.
Thank you for the video.
No movie caught my attention for this month :( but I'm looking forward to the Netflix series '3 Body Problem' from the creators of Game of Thrones; it seems to involve aliens... It's set to release on March 21st.
Night Shift is a surprisingly good film. Amelia's Children is also good.
just watched the night shift and thought it was so good!
Latest version was dull tbh
Rumpelstiltskin 🤙
Easter Bloody Easter! Wow - I will pay for that! But, Stop Motion will probably be better. I'm looking forward to both!
Would of been nice if you mentioned Julian Sands in your video. This may have been his last movie and he's been in his share of horror movies over the years. Warlock..... for example.
🖤
the room a puzzlebox with some faces of the lament configuration of hellraiser....
Rumpelstiltskin!!
Rumpilstiltskin :)
Adding Stop Motion and Room 0 to my watchlist , the rest don't look interesting to me . Thanks for taking the time to find these upcoming releases .
have you watched the TV series "From"? I can't remember if you've spoken about it before but I'm binging watching it now and I think you'd love it!! its kind of giving me Dark vibes but with much more horror
Frogman was great
I know I can't wait to see Stopmotion as that appears to be an excellent horror film. You'll Never Find Me look creepy and we have another fairly tale horror film with Easter Bloody Easter. Like I told everyone after Winne the Pooh came out last, nothing is safe once it's hit the public domain.
They're remaking Amelia's Children?? Oh boy that one is insane lol.
Oh man Stop Motion is gonna give me nightmares lol I'm already freaked out by stop motion in general.
Stop Motion looks so creepy, I'm intrigued!
Rumplestiltskin
Stopmotion is very well executed, meticulous in detail. Sparse and well placed sound design. The art she creates on her own is both a metaphor for, and release of, her oppressive childhood. It is very serious and dour. Of the 10-15 people in the theatre not a single peep or gasp. Complete silence for the entire runtime. It is gross, disgusting. It won't be for all horror fans. I appreciated it as a piece of art, but can't exactly say I enjoyed it.
RIP Julian Sands. 😢
I first got into horror films in a BIG way back in 2017, and because of it I've been watching your videos for the past 7 years for hidden gems and recommendations. I've always been VERY curious to know what your Top 100, 150, 200, etc. all time favorite horror films are. Any chance at all you'd ever make such a video????
Rumplestiltskin!
💕💕
So all the good movies come out on the 8th
rumpelstiltskin 👋
I watched StopMotion last week! The animation aspect was interesting but it really fell flat for me. Ugh
Easter bloody Easter has no relation to Christmas bloody Christmas? Either way looks amd aounds fun
rumplestilskin
Nice review 😊
Hey, did you see The Warzone on tubi??!!!
Great channel.🤓 Please help name a horror movie: A ghost hunter TV crew goes to an old hospital. They are being killed off by an internet cult. The cult wears masks and puts cameras on all their weapons. The TV crew was trying to scare a crew member, not the episode star. The episode star was a patient at the hospital when it was open. The TV crew goes to a morgue, and the security guard there has a fake gun. which scares everybody. It was the movie's first sense. I can't remember the name of this movie. It's been driving me nuts. Any help would be appreciated. 😎
“You’ll never find me” and “Jonah” are the only good movies here.
Animal Kingdom looks like Animorphs (dating myself).
And ofc yt hipsters have to go crazy on a camping trip.
Prediction: in You’ll Never Find Me, she’s dead and haunting him because he killed her
😊big up to you from Casablanca. Morocco ✌️
rumpelstiltskin
💕💕💕
The Animal Kingdom is really good, but there's not a lot of horror on it, it's more of a coming-of-age fantasy ♥ and Stopmotion is sooooooo bleak, i did a rewatched and walked out of the theater all numb.
4:11 you mean the tv show
Hey 👋 Emma🩵👼🏻🌈🫶🏻
I've seen the first 10 "Shake Rattle and Roll" movies. Only the first two were worth watching, and even those weren't that good. I'll skip this one, unless it gets good reviews.
Realy wanted to love stop motion but man it was so boring
👺👺👺
The woods are real was stale and empty, the film looked great and the acting wasn’t horrible but the story wasn’t there and the ending just wasn’t for me.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but I found Stop Motion to be a huge disappointment. 😢
Same!
I can’t find it
I'm happy to have more opinions. I kept seeing how amazing and scary and awesome it was.
Until I saw We Watched a Movies review, and his was the opposite from the previous reviews I saw. So I wasn't sure but I lean more into his movie likes since I'm a sucker for slashers but seen pretty much all of them.
@@Md-pp8sk it was playing in selected theatres near me! Not out on VOD yet :)
@@momolovessam the only original thing about this movie was the stop motion itself. The rest was trite, very unremarkable.
