- Is your Zebra thermal printer lp2844 or gc420d (or many other models) printing blank labels on boot or when you open/close the top? It's an annoying setting that you can turn off. Hopefully this tutorial helps.

This saved so many blank labels!
Thanks to your videos and a couple others, I was able to get ahold of a cheap 2844 last year that supposedly didn't work and got it working 😁 just needed a new head and the gap censor at the top was knocked out of place. Easy peasy!
It took me almost a year to figure out if I slowed it down it'd increase the label print quality 🤣😂
Side question, have you tried to do the usb to c with a 2844?
The 2844 wont work with phones if thats what you mean, USB-A to USB-C would work. If you are connecting it to a new macbook or so with USB C ports.

Awesome!! I was actually looking for a solution to put my printer to sleep as I rarely use it but this one is way better solution (I do find it annoying that it wastes 2 labels when powering up, so this was a huge help) Thanks!!
Just turned it off from the back and turned it back on, the light went red and then green. No labels wasted 😁

Hi Erik I have a datasouth fastmark M5 kind expensive machines the issue that I'm having is after first print if I send a send print it will start and stops an d I get a blinking red light I need to power off the printer and hold the button to reset it . Any advise? Thank you also when j print on pdf I do customize 95% please advise thank you

I've seem to have hit a problem with the downloaded file.
When I open the file I don't see the ""Apply" button. When I click ok, nothing happens and no configuration label is printed.
If I try to print the configuration label by holding the printer button for one flash, it prints a short report of approx 6 lines of data.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for this tip! I've been curious for sometime, and you may know the answer. Is there a way to print on individual labels? Or are the labels the printer shoots out in those situation considered "unprintable"?

@@thecollegepicker If the printer spits 1 blank label out as a test - can that be rolled back into the rest of the labels in the printer even though you have to break it off once printed? I figure the label wouldn't stay in place if rolled back up since the rest of the labels are attached together.

@@ChaboyAnthony Once its ripped its hard to use, I use them for scrap paper or to cover address during an unboxing.
i tape use a clear gift wrapping tape and put the tape on the back, i roll it back in and it works fine

Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks. I was able to send the file to my ZD410 printer and changed the HEAD CLOSE to No Motion. My problem is that I use an application to print a label that goes on to a shoe box. My user will be printing just one label at a time. The printer is printing the label fine but a blank label is printer after each label I print. How do I fix it. I am using 2.00x1.25 labels. Thanks in advance!
Thank you. I fixed my printer with your recommendation. I find it so stupid printer manufacturers want users to sacrifice and waste material (that costs us money) in order to calibrate the printer. There should be a better way for this.
Do you know if the Bartender Driver Fix will work with the Deli DL-770D (or if there's any harm in attempting it)?
The deli should not be calibrating on boot or opening top. I am not sure on that, I would shoot their custom support an email

I have the opposite problem on my printer (Not zebra but maybe you can help) If I don't turn it off, after a few hours then it wastes the 1st label. If I power off right away after use and turn on a few days later then it doesn't waste the label. Also within 1st hour after last print, if not powered it, 3-4 times it readjusts the paper backwards bit by bit each time, maybe that's why it then wastes a label, but why is it readjusting the paper in standby?
I have a different problem. I did this fix and the calibration page shows no motion as it should. But my printer prints a label and then advances two blank labels and starts flashing red. Any ideas? I bought used and did a bunch of “fixes” and it was working properly. Then, I changed the darkness setting today and now it keeps advancing two and then blinking red after a good print...not before. Thanks!
Oh no! Try another recalibration and see if that helps.

Can anyone confirm it working on ZD220 model? Wasting crazy amount of labels. Also if you want to print 1 label it randomly starts to print 10 empty labels or with messed up text. First Zebra printer here and not very good experience so far.

Okay I have a brand new problem that just started this morning when I have a bunch of labels to print: my Munbyn label printer is all of a sudden printing as if it’s zoomed in, with bigger print and a bunch cut off around the edges. And I mean a bunch. I’ve messed with it a ton trying to figure it out and it’s driving me crazy because the settings are the same, 4x6 paper size is chosen, etc. I don’t understand and need help ASAP. Thank you!!
Sounds interesting. I would contact their support. Could be a bad printer.
But in my case I use the 2"x1" and the 4"x6" labels.... It's going to work anyway? I switch the labels when I need it...
You would have to run a calibration manually when you switch label rolls.
What driver is better? Zebra Zdesigner or the seagull?

This has bothered me for years. I remember one time when they were having power issues in my area, the power went out about 15 times in a couple hours. It was just a couple seconds each time, but it was enough to make the printer calibrate. I had to rewind all the labels afterwards.
Where can I find the file that needs to be downloaded?
I've noticed some zebra printers with damaged USB ports that are loose or pushed in. Would these be worth trying to fix or possible to fix?
Definitely possible but probably not worth it for most people.

What's up, are you using gapped paper? Continuous labels could throw that error.

my Z is printing 21 labels and then stopping! i have to reboot cancel and then start at 22 and print again and it prints 21 more and then stops. driving me crazy
Oh no, it may be the max memory on your model for high batches.

I’ve been wanting to get a label printer for my small business for the longest time and finally pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did ! This machine is great czcams.com/users/postUgkxw55tQTywUAAOsbrlwxONZULry77sFF1Q and the blue/green color matches the rest of the accents in my office. My favorite part is how small the footprint is. It’s less than 1/4 the size of my regular printer.Set up was fairly easy. Seller will email you a link with video instructions Which I found to be more helpful than the written instructions. I use a Mac and had no issues. They even included an adaptor for USB to USB-c which is great because I’m always losing mine! I had a few issues getting the labels to print properly and wasted quite a few sheets. You need to play around with the settings to get everything adjusted just right. If you have the wrong settings, it’ll crop off the edges or feed through blank labels. These aren’t issues with the machine though, just user error.

If it is an ethernet printer just go to webpanel/View and Modify Printer Settings/Calibration/Head close->No motion
Our zebra will print the same sets of labels three times even though we only print once. We can’t clear printer queue
