hello
Yes the little gold crowbar is for removing 1x1 pieces.I have it from the Art Project set where it’s all 1x1 round tiles.
so the world map
There's even one in the Batwing (1989); it's stored in a compartment behind the cockpit and used to remove a few pieces from the cockpit floor that essentially lock the Batwing to the screw/nail you hang it on.
they should've made the "you are here" piece lit up as well. amazing review
I love the 3D approach
Members of the LEGO fan community have been making amazing greebled mosaics in this style for years, so it's really cool to see LEGO embrace it as well! 😊
It looks like a coral reef up close, absolutely gorgeous!
Didnt care about this set until watching the review and now I'm starting to change my mind
It looks pretty awesome, and would look cool across the world map. Love the 'you are here' piece and the glow in the dark hair is such a great touch
I think that this model actually shows off the ingenuity of the Lego designers, and the sheer versatility of Lego itself. I am very impressed!!!
Great video - the crowbar is definitely for breaking into small LEGO homes 😂 and removing small pieces. I believe this set is a big step towards introducing the "Greebling" technique to the public and I personally can't wait to showcase it!
I will buy it, because at first I was sceptical, but my girlfriend finds it facinating and is eager to build it together (as we have done with The Great Wave). I believe a nice quality time together awaits ;)
I actually love this. First art piece by lego I really want to have.
I never considered the Lego Artboards, but this is beautiful, seriously considering getting it. Thanks for the review Balazs 👍
Can't wait to buy this next year!
So close, but it doesn't really work for me, though it might if I learn how various bricks are representing things and it becomes educational, but the aesthetics are a bit too blocky for me.
I don't know for others, but I really really like it. I might get it
Looks cool, especially in darken, warm light.
Like you said the crowbar is for popping out the pins just like how it is included with Speed Champions sets to pop out the hubcaps.
Beatiful and colorful!
What a great and thorough review!
love it. day 1 purchase for me. can't wait!
I think it’s probably a Black Friday set for me, or at least a set for when there’s a good discount.
I think it looks great from a distance definitely a wait for sale item for me 😜
Cant wait for artemis video :))
It's a uniquely interesting approach though the final result needs a bit of distance to fully appreciate.
Adding some of the frogs from the bonsai set might be an interesting idea.
This set looks amazing, and though I understand the price, it's just a tad too high for me to buy right away
I want to ask When we have lego technic 2024 supercar information ?
I like it... but i will clearly keep my budget for the artemis launch system XD
I hadn't been following this set closely and assumed that the little machine build was a Voyager probe, maybe showing where it will be in X years from now. Either way, I think if I get this I might leave that out of the display.
I could see some fans of Star Trek, Mass Effect. etc making some fun additions to this. I'd be tempted to try it myself if I get it.
This will look really nice when displayed next to the Tales of the space age set. Maybe someone can make a tasteful light kit for it just like the space age set
Might get later at a discount 😊👍🏻
The idea is great. But good point on the dust this thing will collect that will need dedicated cleaning/airblowing.
Lego going HARD recently
The crowbar is used for removing 1x1 round tiles in the middle of the model without disassembling everything else.
Can't wait to See speed champions Lamborghini and Mercedes sets ❤
As an AFOL and a space geek initially I was convinced I would have to get this set. After the official images had been published I wanted to skip the set because of the many random greebling elements instead of a classic mosaic. After your review I'm still not enthusiastic, but considering the purchase with the right discount.
Soundtrack???
Bro what are your fingers made of? Don't they hurt?
This set is a Lego exclusive so chances to buy it at a discounted price at other retailers are very low
It's definitely not LEGO exclusive, I've seen it already listed at other retailers
@@RacingBrick look at the set web page on the Lego web site in your video…
It looks nice, but it is a dust collector.
So, for the same price, i have to chose this or... the Concorde? 😮 Hard decision. 🤔 naaa 😅😂
Very nice dust absorber
With the random textures it will be an absolute nightmare to clean from dust accumulation.
Compressed air can
Lay it flat on the table. Looks way better. Micro city!
imagine this will fall of your wall and smashes on the floor - how can anyone put it back together :D
The Wave is great. I think it strikes a balance between being a tile and 3D. This one I think went wayyyy too crazy and it's giving me an uneasy feeling just watching it.
That's kind of the idea when you look at the REAL Milky Way too though. So I think it might just be perfect!
I already saw it for 162 euro
I love the concept, but feel like the execution wasn't spot on. The proportions doesn't look right to me for some reason, even when you view it from far way it sort of just like like a colorful mess. I certain look forward to MORE art sets like this!!! 😁 They should ask M'Brick to design a set for them. 😉
Interesting idea with the gradually increasing depth but the colours don’t work for me. The cost presumably comes from lots of the small specialised parts? Not sure it’s worth it in the grand scheme of things, maybe $110 maximum
I don't think the price has much to do with the cost of the parts, it is simply defined by the theme and the size of the end result. The Amazing Spider Man art set's RRP was also 200 EUR (with only around 2k pieces), and now you can get it for 120 EUR, so this one will go much lower as well for sure.
Just a dust hell!
This set just isn't to my taste, but I won't criticise Lego for trying to vary how they do these display works.
This set should be given to crooks as their sentence. Make them have to build it without instructions and a time constraint.
Lego said use random rare pieces so we can sell it for a bigger price
What I don't like of the set is the background. The space should be pitch black, not bluish...
First
It's a nice design but way, way overpriced for me. Whilst I do value the result, to me it is important that building/assembly is not too repetitive.
And this one does look like it is very repetitive for at least 5x ~ 6x times. And its price is to me thus way too steep.
I will wait for a significant discount and/or alternative designs if I'm going to reconsider. If ever.
Sorry, pass!
isn't this kinda boring to build?
I wouldn't say it's boring as you really need to pick specific parts and put them in specific places, so it's far from being repetitive. But the experience is very different from a Technic build or an Icons vehicle for example.
I think this set will be a failure. Expensive, too much pink color than real galaxy, and a little trypophobia....
