- Live Copenhagen 6th May 2006 :
I taped this video in Copenhagen, first Radiohead gig of 2006. This show was their first time playing "Jigsaw Falling Into Place"! (at that time this song was called "Open Pick", one year before the announcement of In Rainbows)
Video was recorded with an Canon IXUS 40 (small camera that can record 640x480 videos, 30fps). The sound was really poor so I mixed my video with a better sound recording. - Hudba
New album is going To BE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Good!!!!!! Can't wait for it!
Samuel Alencar It's worth the wait. -from the future
I'm from the future, and let me tell you man. The new album will be something special
@@Danjoker. I'm from the future future. Their next albums are fine 😣👌
And they were all correct
Comments like these are special to see
This is my favourite rendition of this song from their gigs earlier this year. I can really pick out Jonny's funky guitar playing and I love it. This has the potential to be an absolute belter imo.
Love the way they knew it and completely sold it and ripped thru it...over a year before IR was recorded.
I'm so glad they replaced the elcetric with accousic guitars...they turned this rock song into a diamond!
this is without question the best version of this song
I was soo bumbed out that they did not play this when I saw them Live in Tampa. :/ Still the greatest show I have ever seen live.
"Jigsaw Falling Into Place" is indeed the new name for "Open Pick" (this is how it will appear on the album).
This is one of the best tracks of their whole catalogue....and that's an impressive back catalogue!
my FAVORITE song off the new album. i feel so old for the fact that i've been listening to them for over a decade....
Two decades now?
the mood to this song is really good
dance dance dance dance dance dance dance dance...
THE BEAT GOES ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUND AND ROUND.
That does suck indeed. It was my favorite song from the night up here in DC. Played it right after All I Need, which opened the show, and busted right into this. Incredible.
hail is a mysterious album you have too listen to it a couple before you begin to love the songs
wow jigsaw sounds even better live!
cant wait to see them next june
I prefer this version too. still love the album version though and I'm so glad it made the final cut. but the electric guitars on this sound sooo good... esp the intro.
this makes me shiver down my spine, its so amazing.
Radiohead ! Radiohead ! Radiohead !
i fucking love this song, the real standout from in rainbows
Superb...absolute undeniable quality!
great footage!
one of the best
Radiohead come to chile, please!
best song of In Rainbows :-)
The ROLEX of the pop world!
this song is awesome
cool, a great video. Thanks for the effort you put into it! Cant wait to see what you post next :)
Some things are so amazing, a single tear has to be shed. this was the case with me after seeing this. God bless Radiohead!!
every time i hear this song i can't help but start moving in my seat. SO FUCKING AWESOME!
Radiohead is putting perfection back where it should have never left
Thanks for posting this, and syncing it with the better sound... it's interesting to hear how little the song needed to evolve between this early run-through and its destination as the highlight of In Rainbows.
3:05 Thom thinks 'fuck I gotta sing!'
This whole album was sick, even better live
great song
the best song.
i know the feeling
open pick was one of the songs featured in 'bit of tape from the studio' that came a few months ago. 'open pick' isn't on the tracklist of the new album... but 'jigsaw falling into place' is... which is a lyric at the end of the song. I personally prefer the title 'open pick'.
i'm so freakin excited about seeing them at all points west...headlining!
OMG! Fucking awesone ! ! ! There's too much energy to put it on the album ! ! !
Holy shit. This is an amazing version. Can't believe I hadn't heard this!! I adore this song, bodysnatchers, weird fishes....any song where every time you hear it, you hear it a bit differently.
cannot wait for this album no more
Me neither!
radiohead's great at reinventing themselves
I LOVE this song :)
this place is on a mission :)
Perfect =)
this song rocks
radiohead owns
only 5 years? man, i bought pablo honey just after it was released and played it over and over. ON CASSETTE! LOL
for some reason i didnt like this album at first but now i LOVVVVVVE it, it is amazing. go buy it.
best version !!
"I told you I wanted a Rolex! A ROOOOLEX!"
Haha, felt like quoting UHF.
Yeah!
Kid A and Amnesiac was originally going to be a double album called Kid Amnesiac. That's why the two albums are so similar. Also why morning bell is on both albums but in two different versions. And if you remember they came out almost back to back.
dude....I love the stage setting...it's better than the north america tour...lol...
best song on new album!
i think in rainbows is their best album yet
Yeah!!!!!
My pleasure :)
epic song :]
la mejor cancion del disco la mejor banda del mundo
I don't mean this exact performance. I've got a great quality mp3 of open pick from last year that I've probably listened to hundreds of times. the album hasn't even been out a week yet, that was just my first impression. still, the album version is fantastic and like I said, I'm incredibly happy that it made the final cut!
Agree. I was thinking about this the other day. How sometimes I'm STILL not sure what I think of the album. If you can find the second bonus disc to add to the main release, I think it really completes the whole album. The songs on In Rainbows are more understated than the other albums. I don't feel there's a song that defines the album or is really a legitimate single to represent it. But, somehow, even with my misgivings, it grew on me and is a favorite along with every other RH album.
genial!
can't wait till July (Berlin)...
el viernes escuxare ese tema en vivo :D
WOW
they just become faster over time! They'll be making Speedcore in their 60's :D
Great video, amazing. Congratulations.
See my records in Chile. Bye
I agree
I've been into them for over a decade too, I'm 29. and just like you, it's weird for me to be so into something for so long. I get bored of things very quickly! but radiohead... not once have I ever got bored of them! I'm a 100% certain I never will either. they have something no other band does... I'll be fucked if I know what it is though.
That's strange, i found In Rainbows to be their second most immediate record after The Bends... Radiohead's music works in mysterious ways...
I personally prefer "Open Pick" over "Jigsaw Falling Into Place". The fact that Thom started playing his part on an acoustic guitar sounded good on the album, but it made the song lose most of its energy when they play it live.
Some like em, some dont, some get em, some dont, some say they get em but dont, some have never even heard them. Take away music and lyrics and you still have an imaginative, edgy, hard working group but more than anything they have CLASS. And real class is real rare among musicians.
wtf are you talking about?!
pablo honey was one of the most revolutionary rock albums ever.
They have a very different sound in every song they write.
PH was their first album when they didnt use as many different instruments and artificially whatever u wanna call it.
all their albums are great
u just have to listen to them all and be open to fully appreciate the music.
in the letter there is a part that is about the saw movies it said CLOSED CIRCUIT CAMERAS and also talks about escape i think tom yorke was sawing the movie when he wrote tnis song but it is just my crazy opinion
i mean the title of the song is Jigsaw falling into place so that put me in reference to the saw movie where jigsaw died and he died inside the buildig where he torture and make his own game
well seia !!!
but you have to admit, that little riff that comes in the middle sounds really damn good with acoustic guitars, it's a lot less messy than with electric.
this album is awesome...I can't stop listening to it. I like this better than all their electronic music. Listen to the details and find meaning in the lyrics...if you are younger...you probably won't understand how good this album really is...
To be honest, I think I prefer this performance to the album cut; it's more raw and energetic, and the band sounds considerably more interested in what they're doing.
yeah arpeggi too!
As for radiohead and must, i am huge fans of both. They may have sounded alike 8 or 9 years ago in the mid to late 90's, but now they sound completely different. For a reason which i don't know, however, people still continue to compare them and mix them up. I blame NME :)
I love Radiohead and I love this song. That's all I have to say. :-)
i dont think any true radiohead could answer the question, "whats your favorite radiohead song" without giving a looong looong list.
radiohead is the best band in the fucking world
Thom York is so fucking awsome.... Radiohead kicks the fucking shit out of echoes of angels
I figure I Thom Yorke about $10,000 just in all the therapy he saved me from. Even my mother (57yrs old and what you'd call a square). Stated it's like a drug.
This album brings me up to 160 perfect radiohead songs. He's my only role model ;)
my god that guitar intro is orgasmic. although I love the album version, I wish they'd have kept the original intro.
what
date was this on
You should be able to download by paying a download fee. The album kicks ass
If you don't love Radiohead, I probably don't like you.
Q: Have you ever heard of Radiohead?
A. They did song Creep or something, I am a Creep. Right?
Yea, I probably don't like you either, there there is still potential.
l hope that you are more "grown up" now
i'm only 24 (i know i'm not old!), but its just weird for me to be into something for that long and for it to still be good.
1)15 Step
2)Jigsaw Falling into Place
3)Bodysnatchers
yeha you right :S
Without music, life would REALLY suck. You must not be a fan of music... or life.
thom seems to be doing John Mayer's "hoagie dance"... how strange. i'm so looking forward to the next tour, i desperately hope they come to norwich.
and while muse are genius, radiohead>muse. alwaysl
And what about Arpeggi?? :P
sweet. i've been looking for a live version. thanks. hottest dance song um, ever. if they played this shit in clubs, i'd actually go. it's just sex.
you could say the same thing about a lot of bands. and muse doesn't copy everything radiohead does at all. their voices are similar, but that's where the similarities end.
but, like i said, a lot of bands wouldn't be arounf if it weren't for other bands. you hear artists say all the time that another musician inspired them to pick up an instrument, and that if it wasn't for them, they wouldn't be here.
so, that's not really a bad thing. it's called musicial influence and inspiration.
um yea, i think that's the melody of the song he's singing that you hear.
I would say that Muse and Radiohead are equally good. Muse has more diversity in the styles of their songs; Radiohead is just damn good at what they do.
I prefer this version. The only noticeable difference is at the end when he says, 'Jigsaw falling into pla-a-ace.', in this version he goes from high to low while doing 'pl-a' instead of low to high like on the record. Wish they'd kept it that way instead of reversing it.
please shh
hello
I think this is the best song of the newest cd...and I beleive that bodysnatchers could be better cos the lirycs are really amazing
I love reckoner
