You inspired me. I added the Black Aces Tactical quad rail as well with their walnut furniture. I added the 800 Lumin Inforce light mounted at the end of the top rail. I have ordered the Demonstrated Solutions recoil strap. The added hand stop is a great idea.
Sweet setup! I really like it. The Marine coat looks sharp too. Great job!
Never had any issues with the strap hurting my hand, man that a lot of weight added to that gun

Yea this is definitely a toy for this guy. Added a brace, pistol grip, and ghost rings to mine. Took the opposite approach to this guy. Wanted a very light tactical run n gun setup. And this guy 3/4 through has no idea how you'd make this an effective weapon, apparently not according to his configuration..
All the cheapos talking about adding cost haha.. If u can't afford a $200 attachment on a $300 low budget Firearm, you should stick to BB guns.. And if you all are relying on this for a self defense "Tactical" firearm... hahaha.. that's a joke

Newbs like me always overbuild. Practical experience is the only way we learn to design better w/ purpose. Carry that extra crap around with us a few times & we start to figure it out. That said some of us appreciate guys like you trying to steer us right, we're just slow to move on it.
You may have more experience than me(only 19 years) but in my experience I love to give all my guns some kind of personal touch. Makes me feel better knowing It’s not a plain jane. If I don’t customize, I don’t like the gun enough 😩

Do you mind e asking what that setup might run to fix it just like yours?
Instead of removing the strap on mine, I had the ends turn out rather than turn in where my hand goes. Made a HUGE improvement. I also did the Vang Comp thing to the barrel and added a +1 mag tube extension. Much nicer, increased capacity, less recoil and tighter groups.

After 100s of shells and configurations, I’ve come to realize less is more on my Shockwave. I am more accurate with the straps than without as well. But at the end of the day you have to be happy with the function and aesthetics of your own firearm so do what ya want, different strokes. Thanks for the video.
How did the straps make a difference in your accuracy? 😂😂
Accuracy may have been the wrong word to use but personally for me especially with slugs it helps me control the muzzle rise, for faster follow-up shots. They also help with the push and pull technique that I am glad I learned about from others on CZcams. Also I purchased the 590s which others have said has the strap mounted better. I am by no means an expert so please experience this firearm for yourself.
I agree, I shoot it eye level full extension. The strap gives me something to push my hand out against and has never hurt or bothered me.
Nice job with your set up. I prefer the mariner coating and it looks great with the rail and Accesories. I would probably go magpul on the front hand guard but I have to say, I have not seen a better set up. That extra weight should help with recoil as well. I’m getting the semi auto version to soak up more recoil, I hope the Accesories still fit.
Nice set up you have there sir! I like the look of the contrast between the black and marine coat. The receiver is aluminum already so it'll never rust, however the marine coat on it still looks great!
Size of hand, grip strength, upper body strength and technique makes a difference with this gun. I easily shoot 2 3/4" slugs and buckshot while aiming down the bead. I run my Shockwave with an XS Big Dot front night sight, TacStar (6) shell side saddle, ProMag metal thumb safety, S&J Hardware derlin high vis mag tube follower and a BlackHawk sling. Ilove this gun and the different looks people apply to it....

Does anyone know if the quad rail gets in the way of a surefire dsf? Id really like to run both of those
I put skate board tape on my grip, a Safariland TL- racker light and a sidesaddle. I didn't want a lot of items mounted on the side of the weapon to keep a slim profile. Yours is right for you which is important.
How much weight did your customizations add? Mine is in the mail. I'm using it for more of a backpacking gun and not sure if a rail and such will add too much weight?
The spike probably doesn't function properly considering the flashlight sticks out further than the spike does

nice set up. the spike can work as a glass breaker or gtf back tool if reloading or out of ammo and need it to function as melee tool.

I have the 590 shockwave chainsaw with the Black Aces quad rail and side saddle.
I added a Sightmark Lopro laser/light combo with touch pad, an HFD2 standoff pumpkin puncher (instead of the spike), and a mini shell adapter.
Sightmark laser/light resolves target acquisition issues, chainsaw bar mitigates lift and helps cycle/re-acquire target faster, mini shell adapter increases capacity to 13 (#4 buck), and allows side saddle to hold 10 shells (5 up/5 down). HFD2 is a good breacher accessory.
Good setup man...!! That would make a fine home defense gun and yes with that UTG bulldot is a excellent choice and is probably the only way to go to make accurate shots with any speed...
Would you still see the bulldot with the tac light shining on the target?

I'm about Hickok45's size (6'7", 260 - and yes, I played hoops too). I use him as a hand model when he tests small pistols (it is disconcerting when your index finger sticks out past the barrel on small pistols). I cut the corners off the backend of the strap. Feels much better. I'm glad you're happy with your shockwave, but the spike puzzles me since the flashlight sticks out further than the tip of the spike. I put a green CT laser saddle on my shockwave. I may upgrade the safety and call it good. I'm not sure I'd put a shell saddle on a shockwave, but that's just me.
Oh, and lube that thing before you shoot it.
First thing that came to mind for me as well was what is the point of the spike when the light is in the way of it doing anything? Lol

Hes going for tacticool. The rail imo is mostly useless. As previously mentioned, the stream light forearm is probably the smarter buy. 2 birds > 1 stone.
Why wouldn't you put a shell saddle? I've got a shockwave incoming and am trying to figure out the most logical mods.
So far I'm shooting (heh) cor the Ct in green, streamlight handguard, and either spa3 brace or sbm4.
Extra shells are a must, hence my question. I'm new to this and any advice is greatly appreciated
Strap solution,......i rounded blunt corners by melting them with a lighter and file down all sharp edges with an Emory board,...did the same with safety switch, was cutting into thumb.

Like your setup. A laser is good but you can just shoot center of your flashlight beam for home defense. Plus it’s a backup method if one of your batteries were dead when you needed it.
Only thing I see as an issue is your spike is negated by your flashlight

*_This is pretty much the set up i use on my own, with the O light. It's really a great piece of kit. I am a bail bondsman/recovery agent & so you will be searching attics, basements, bedrooms piled with clothes & guys hiding underneath willing to die DESPITE the well known fact that the jails are not accepting misdemeanor warrants, smh. I have been using maybe the tactical AR but i find this less intimidating when i need to enter a guys elderly parents home, stuff like that. Whoever said, "They'l never take me alive" should be dug up & killed again, lol_*

I tried to follow your lead and was able rto oder the Snakeskin grip but found that the Rail is not provided for 20 ga. version of the Shockwave. Any idea where I can purchase the Rail for a 20 gauge? I am assuming the quad rail is available for 20 ga. somewhere......or am I incorrect on that?
Hmm. That’s a tough one. I’m reading on several sites that the Black Aces model will fit both the 12 and 20 gauge but the shell holder is only for 12 gauge. I think it’d be best to just call Black Aces Tactical to see what needs to be purchased to make it work.
It’s a nice looking setup man. I don’t really care for the full length rail with those arms coming down on both sides potentially hitting your hands with recoil. I think a simple rail where it’s tapped is fine and that laser is fine. Other items may be turning a simple firearm into something less wieldy
I’m trying to figure out where or how to use a sling with the quad rail installed. Any advice?
You have to buy a QD (quick detach) swivel kit. Yw ;)

I’m absolutely obsessed with my shockwave “firearm”. I have not even shot it yet. I was looking for mods to improve sight and grip along with a saddle as I don’t like to keep loaded next to my bed. This sir is absolutely epic. Your build is so clean. The only thing is I which the rail on top was not full picitininny the whole way. I wish it was like the st Victor .308 where it’s flat and smooth and only the tip was a rail and the back for the laser. But that’s being too picky. I love the spike. So if you see a black version of this out there. It’s an ode to you my friend. Looks great. Also I’m 50/50 on the laser. I saw the pump grip with a light/laser built in. I think I’d like that better even if it makes it more front heavy. For me. I love this so much I might purchase a second one to keep in the car and by my bed side and maybe a third to keep in a bug out bag. Thanks for the upload.

Yes you do. I have this same rail and you have to remove it all to remove the barrel. I just swapped my foreend pump.
I love putting the mini slugs in 9+1 and shooting from the hip at the range. Nice set up man.

a lot of people critical of the added weight. but honestly the weight helps with the recoil. the nice thing about this shotgun is the length. a couple more pounds arent a deal breaker for me
Mine has a side saddle for shells and an OPSol Adapter for cycling mini shells; that's it. I shoot the piss out of it, I don't have any issues hitting my target, and it's still very concealable (if that was legal, which it's not). That thing has a lot going on.
I'm interested in the Mossberg Shockwave I also wanted to know what those additions were for cost of the shotgun you never mentioned that the quad rail and the sighting laser and front flashlight can you order it that way or you have to have these items professionally installed
It's completely bolt on. I believe I bought the bundle for $175.

Were I to get one I would get Mossberg's ported barrel and a light/laser combo and call it good. But instead, I should just add a light/laser to my 870 HD.

the main advantage of the shockwave is the combination of sleek agility and power. Now the thing is so wide and heavy it becomes a chore to haul around AND a chore to shoot. From the lack of rub marks on your mag tube looks like yours has not been fired much.

I can't see any purpose for this quad rail.
It adds too much weight.
I removed my "pump" and replaced it with a tri rail from Ergo Grips. It fits PERFECT.
Then I added a folding metal foregrip on the side. So it works very similar to the black aces tactical firearm.
My 2nd shockwave I added the chainsaw grip (With the Ergo Grip fore end) both of my shockwaves have a green centermass laser.
I use the Talon rubberized grip tape. Damn it's perfect!.
Update!
I removed the center mass green lasers. They didn't hold up.to the stress of a 12 Gauge.
Instead I added the Crimson trace sidesaddle green laser. Then I removed the ergo grip trim rail and added the Streamlight TL Racker for the Mossberg Shockwave. 1,000 lumens of bright light!

I’m looking at same rail for my Shockwave. Originally planned on Aimtech Warhammer that MagPul makes with the M lock rails but they seem like may get in the way of pump action if light mounted there?
Is this BAT rail as big/bulky as it seems?

ill stick to my 12 gauge bullpup. takes magazines. can be aimed and fired from the shoulder. has a full 18 inch barrel. and is about the same size as this.

You could take the screws out and put set screws in to fill the holes and not have screw heads in the way

How does the light and laser look together? Is the laser still visible?
Laser is still visible with the light on to about 40 yards or so. Fades out at further distances.
Can you fit a magpul fore grip with the quad rail?
If I remember correctly, you cannot use the Magpul forend with this rail without some modification to the forend.
what's the point of the spike there? the light would be in the way if you are meant to use it to hit someone?

Green laser makes the gun perfect no skill needed just point the green dot where you want to hit ! I personally like the strap I use the push pull method of holding the gun at my hip it steady's the gun and greatly reduced recoil !
I'm looking to get a semi-automatic shockwave haven't seen anybody put a forward grip pistol style on the front yet was wondering if it was illegal

For the people saying it looks heavy, the quad rail itself is made out of aluminum. The weight is negligible. Only weight that would be noticeable would be from the accessories added to the front of the firearm be it, flashlight, laser, etc. I’d dare that with an adjustable arm brace with an ergo grip adapter and pistol grip, the added weight of a light or laser would be negligible as well.

No, it's called Marinecote, which is more like a silver color that protects against rust and corrosion. The gun comes like that if you buy the Marinecote version. Mossberg doesn't coat the barrel though. Remington does with their TAC-14 in the Marinecote finish.
Any accessory will be helpful in a alien invasion.

The rail looks cool, but it's complete overkill for me. But man it looks cool. Left mine stock
For this firearm its actually more functional than it may seem. It definitely looks tacticool but it looks to be a pretty good heatshield on top of offering the largest array of options for optic placement that i have seen.
The spike is absolutley useless though so ill give you that hahaha.

Its heavy. Adds at least 6lbs + overall to the gun to do all this.
