  • Swapping out an Manual e30 radiator.
    The automatic will be slightly different.
    This video is over the same subject as my Radiator upgrade video, but shows a far more in depth look at the how to nature of the process.
    PEACE!

    Hey I have a question I have a 87 manual 325i and my radiator is like discontinued it’s hard to find a replacement online and if I do it’s out of stock. I have a sensor on the driver side of my radiator and haven’t seen the “replacements” with the correct sensor location one inlet and outlets are different

      EuroGarage they're still great! Do you think arp headstuds are necessary to run low boost? Or is that just to prepare for the future? And is clocking the turbo necessary ? Im new to turbos but im trying to follow along with your vids.

    • @EuroGarageOfficial
      @EuroGarageOfficial  Před 7 lety

      arps are needed for more than like 8-10psi IIRC.
      clocking is needed yes, the oil drain is supposed to be vertical.

      I think its on the inter cooler installation vid. I cut out quite a bit of metal and pushed back the condenser a tad.

    Any problems with those Revshift cab's that you installed a while ago? looking to upgrade to offset poly but not sure who the best are made by

      They are all very similar, I have had no issues with mine. The "best" is a relative concept as some offer more comfort as others off more performance and it is just your personal preference.

    Glad to see you busting out video but I recommend releasing videos a few days apart. It's best if you can get a consistent schedule to upload to and stick to it for growth.

      I fully understand youtube, I just have no interest in growing this channel at this time.
      Additionally these are nearly the exact same video, minor differences for those interested in the technical side of the project. Posting the same video 2 weeks in a row will just serve to annoy viewers.

    Can I ask a Question? What are your Plans for the Future? Your BMW is perfect, so I guess there isn't going to be that much more you could do...

    • @EuroGarageOfficial
      @EuroGarageOfficial  Před 7 lety

      It will either go crazy like widebody v8 or will be sold to fund the next project.

    • @cze7470
      @cze7470 Před 7 lety +1

      EuroGarage V8 or Widebody would be nice, but thats a thing you see way to often in an E30, your Turbo M20 is a rare thing, I liked that very much. But selling the car to found the next Project would be the way to go, atleast that's what I think. I learnd very much in all your Project Videos, and I wouldn't regret watching them again. Anyways, do what you would like to do and do what you think is the best, cause I think no matter what you going to do, it's going to be perfect!

    I have my eye on an e30 but it has 250k miles on it. Im planning to boost and I don't know how much longer the engine will last or if it could still handle the boost. Do you think it's worth it? And how many miles does yours have?

      Jonny Fallis how much? I’m currently thinking of buying an e30 325i and it seems to be in good condition and it runs fine for 2k and it has 126k miles

  • @austinmorehart2044

    Idk if I should buy a e30 or a e21

    • @henris8367
      @henris8367 Před 7 lety

      e21 if you're going for style. e30 if you're going for performance
      unless you have a massive budget, then just get and e21 because you could make it fast and look good

    Why not use an electric fan setup and ditch the loud AF clutch fan?

    • @EuroGarageOfficial
      @EuroGarageOfficial  Před 7 lety +1

      Zachary Belford I think I talk about that in the other video I posted about the radiator.
      I prefer the clutch fan.

    • @zacharybelford3771
      @zacharybelford3771 Před 7 lety +1

      Have you heard the motor run without the clutch fan? I just pulled mine off a few weeks back and to my surprise, I had been hearing the fan spin all this time -- not the motor!
      She sounds so godly now :)
      Love the E30 project though my dude! looking forward to more vids!

    I WOULD NOT USE DEX COOLANT IN MY BMW. DEX is for GM cars. There are compatibility issues. I destroyed my 1986 e30 325 ETA putting DEX Coolant in 1999. I flushed the coolant system and changed the coolant, and about 9 months later my back freeze plug leaked coolant ( Dex ate through the sealant around the plug.) The fact that coolant leaked into the clutch and I needed a muffler and brakes........I was quoted over $3k in repairs........Bye Bye ETA! To me it was not worth repairing the car, the car was a lemon from day one. It kept needing repairs. It was time to let it go. It turned out to be a blessing because I bought an 1989 325i which I still drive today.
