    About the X-Maxx 8S
    Body, Wheelie bar, Wheels & Tires
    The Traxxas X-Maxx 1/6 8S Monster Truck with belted tires is an absolute beast of an RC vehicle, designed to conquer the most extreme terrain with its mammoth size and unrelenting power. Featuring a clipless body mounting system, the X-Maxx allows for easy removal and installation of the reinforced body, which is further enhanced with a protective cage to minimize flex and external skids for strategic protection during intense bashing sessions. The integrated nerf bars provide additional side impact resistance, ensuring durability and longevity even in the most demanding conditions. Paired with the specifically formulated 8s rubber compound and large, dual-diameter wheels, the belted Sledgehammer tires offer exceptional grip and durability for high-speed runs and aggressive off-road maneuvers.
    Chassis, Suspension & Drivetrain
    Built on a robust chassis with a full-metal driveline, the X-Maxx boasts exceptional strength and durability to withstand the rigors of extreme bashing. The suspension system is engineered to optimize suspension travel and steering angles, with all critical suspension points featuring double shear strength for added reliability. The GTX shocks with machined aluminum threaded bodies and extra-large bore capacity ensure smooth and consistent damping over rough terrain, while the fully sealed bearings used in exposed locations provide long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance requirements. The drivetrain features all-metal gears and CVDs, along with Traxxas' Torque-Biasing Center Drive unit for maximum wheels-up punch and unrelenting acceleration.
    Electronics
    Equipped with the Velineon VXL-8s Brushless Power System, the X-Maxx delivers jaw-dropping acceleration and speeds of over 50mph, thanks to its powerful Velineon 1200XL Brushless Motor and VXL-8s Waterproof Electronic Speed Control. The built-in cooling fan and machined heat sinks ensure efficient heat dissipation during high-speed runs, while the real-time telemetry via Traxxas Link provides valuable performance data to optimize the driving experience. The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) helps prevent spinouts and loss of control by adjusting from off to 100% assistance from the transmitter, offering unparalleled stability and control for drivers of all skill levels. Additionally, the TQi 2.4 GHz High Output Radio System with Traxxas Link-enabled allows for easy customization and adjustment of steering and throttle parameters, ensuring a personalized driving experience tailored to individual preferences.

    2 great trucks for sure. I'm not surprised that the Vigilante is faster, though. Iirc, out the box, it comes with the Hobbywing 4985. That motor is MUCH better than the stock XMAXX motor. You can raise graring and STILL have lower temps than the XMAXX stock motor.
    That being said, I got the 5687 Max5 combo in my XMAXX, and it's a beast, and I love it for that 😊.
    I plan on picking up a Vigilante some day, though. It keeps calling to me whenever I stop by my LHS.

    Turn your tsm up and it will run straight, I run 22/46 and 24/46 with no overheating issues but have to be mindful of Temps in the sumner

      Very true. These companies are starting to get it right now. Traxxas needs to step it up a bit.

      Or better yet, just give us rollers so we can put whatever we want in them...

    • @rcbeast101
      @rcbeast101  Před 17 dny +1

      Thanks for watching.

      I'm going to get some adapter soon.
      It may just need a battery upgrade for a little more speed. A higher C rate.
      Thanks again.
