That Barry White effect in the closing seconds was something I hadn’t anticipated. 😂
How very odd. For some strange reason the video must have slowed right at the end, which is why I sound so odd! I don't think it's worth reuploading another version, so I'll leave it as is and give those who reach the end a little surprise!
XD Why did he do that? Maybe he was yawning or something? It was kinda mesmerizing tho
@@bag2963 - editing issue, I’m sure. Playback speed slowed slightly.
@@harrysgarage - it is fine as it is. It’s going to become part of folklore. In years to come, people will ask “Can you remember where you were on the day Harry went all Barry?”
@@harrysgarage Please don't remove that little easter egg 😄
Ian's voice is so soothing and gentle. Well practiced at giving people very expensive news I guess.
To be able to turn around and see a Miura, Countach, F40, and Espada= Heaven.
"I know we went a bit deeper than expected " I think that's the story for all of your restorations, you always find a surprise.
Harry always does things right...makes you wonder what percentage of these old classics have been skimped on.
For Harry's for yours for mine... That's the story with all restorations. It's NEVER as straightforward as you'd hoped (or budgeted!)
If this were twice the length I'd be happy to watch it, these processes on this car are to die for.
The beauty of this, is as I watch Metcalf sign-off on the good stuff like new rose joints ("I want this to be the best driving CV out there") is that when it's done, he's going to take us along for a DRIVE, a real full bore attack and eval. Not some dainty tour of the neighborhood. The full enthusiasm of the knowledgeable owner who's not afraid of using the beast as it was intended is what makes this channel special.
Harry, you are the ultimate boy with your ultimate toys! For those of us, which I suspect are numerous, who are not able to indulge in car passion the way you do, you fulfil our dreams. Thank you.
I try to get the point across to him everytime, because I screwed up my chances at millions, I am living through him and get to see clips of this awesome life he gets to life.
and we don't have to pay the bill when it fails ,,
Ye not enough money
@@snoosebaum995 hehe, I once almost bought a Ferrari Dino, until I found out what it needed done and the cost of that... Then got a A Celica 4x4 turbo 1991 instead. the Dino wasn't expensive, but all the work/parts were.
It must be wonderful to take your car into somewhere like Ian Tyrrells and not even worry about the cost and have the 'just do it' chat. Love it.
I am sure Ian Tyrrells is pretty happy about that too! 😅
I'd say Mr Tyrrell is the one loving it the most 😂
Thank God that there are Harry’s and Iain’s in this world, otherwise I’m guessing these cars would be lost to history.
Lying in bed with Covid feeling sorry for myself….dreaming of the day when I could add this beauty to my collection, thanks Harry!
Really love these repair/restoration videos. Please keep them coming.
Could not agree more! 👌
They are definitely my favorites, I was surprised in Harry's 2022 roundup video to hear they usually don't get as many viewers as others.
I'm sure they'll keep coming, CZcams views are probably funding the restorations at this point.
This will hopefully continue while grain prices are at record highs 🌾 🙏
Harry's Countach of Theseus.
I know the restoration/rebuild videos are the least popular on the channel for view, but I love 'em. Please keep 'em coming.
Harry finally hits puberty in the closing seconds of the video. Congrats!
Absolute pleasure watching you two in the workshop. More please!
Always a great CZcamsing evening when Harry is at Iain’s, talking Lamborghinis 😁😁
Iain Tyrrell is such a character. I love his little 'jokes,' like "breeding Countachs!"
Really funny ha ha
Love the attention to detail , at this workshop .
Beautiful
The most humble Countach owner ever. I would like to meet you some day, harry!
Learn to use a capital letter at the start of his name . Then you just might ! lol
That Countach is going to be darn near perfect. Having Iain Tyrrell and his shop do the work only ADDS more value to this special car.
"It's funny, you never know with italian metal where it is gonna rust". Define funny 😁
Italian metal.......
In my experience, everywhere!
I really like Iain Tyrell and he seems to take a lot of pride in his work
"... maybe a Chevv 5.7 ..." That banter cracks me up each time. 😂
Iain's workshop is how you'd like every car museum to look like, he's got quite a collection in there..
hard to believe this car won a concourse only a couple of years ago and all of a sudden it needs a ton of work. Passion in the truest sense of the word. You can't even sit comfortably in it. But it's more than a design classic, it's a touchstone. As the E-type was for the 60's the Countach was for the late 70's/80's. There were arguably better cars but they caught the times. They embedded themselves as icons of their era.
Harry left crying as Iain rides a unicorn off into the distance lighting cigars with Harry’s £50 notes…
Great film and I do like the updates on the Metcalfe fleet🎉
The expertise here is astonishing, and then Harry's bottomless bank account to fund it is equally astonishing. It is truly a privilege to watch this.
Harry Metcalfe and the Rev-unlimited Orchestra! Great progress report.
The Knowledge Harry and Ian have between them is incredible love these videos.
No more iconic car than the Countach. Thank you for saving this spectacular car. Thank you Iain for your excellent restoration work on all the cars.
Love the blocks of wood to stop the axle stands damaging the underside and the boy in blue is very well spoken uses some fantastic words to
IAIN is my hero! Getting paid well to do the best work in the world. Fantastic
Always makes me smile when Harry says to whoever is working on his cars . “what are we doing here / What have we done “
I think the mechanics are fixing the car and Harry is paying the bills !
I love Harry. Car typically goes in for a headlamp bulb or something similar..........then we get treated to a full resto. I wonder how the Testarossa is doing 😂
I always leave the same comment that there's nothing better than a properly restored classic supercar. Especially a V12 Lamborghini. Much cooler than any modern hypercar.
Motoring mission creep in its finest...and most expensive form! 😊👍👍
It's quite something to see all these Lamborghini guts laying about. What a car.
With all this restoration work getting done Harry , i hope the Cabbage Flea Beatle stays well away from this seasons crops !! 🤑
Two of my favourite motoring petrol heads, thank you.
I remember watching the TV programme back in the 80's about the Africar. On their way to Africa they went through Italy and visited Lamborghini. They showed a Countach frame coming out of the welding shop and a guy with a measure, hammering away at it to straighten any twists from the welding.
That could well explain the random rust points they describe as belting it with a hammer could well start a rust point. I think it's hilarious whenever I see the frame of a Lamborghini how awful the welds are - Harry's car is no exception - always looks like an apprentice on their first day.
@@Beer_Dad1975 It wasn't just a gentle tap, either....
at 17:41 love the casual and unmentioned F40 with the front end up.
You have to appreciate how Iain doesn't try to overpower the narration on this video. No silly attention-seeking 'influencers' here. This is a superb example of two incredibly knowledgable narrators allowing one another the opportunity to speak and share. What a great conversation.
Love Harry's normal videos too, but when he pays Ian a visit it's like a bonus Tyrrell's Classic Workshop, and you really can't get better than that.
Great video series. Every Countach enthusiast should see this to understand how these cars are built.
2:43 "Maybe a Chevy 5.7?" What a great sense of humor!
Can't wait for my next road trip holiday with Harry!
The Clarkson impression was spot on!
Love this restoration. It really shows how crude these cars where build and how far Lamborghini (and Ferrari) have come.
15'39" Once again, THANK YOU BREXIT!!!!
Wow! You really need deep pockets full of cash and a passion for the Countach to justify owning one! Kudos to you Harry and we look forward to you driving thousands of miles in your restored car with many videos accordingly😎🇦🇺👍
"They are terribly crude” what a dream killer!?
It’s fun listening to the two of you discuss everything technical about these classic cars. Always a treat.
Love the way Harry spends his money...does the job properly! All documented in videos to enhance the ultimate value.
Ian’s face drop when Harry said to replace all the rose joints despite Ian saying it was ‘marginal’ about 8 times haha…
"Minimal"
Just amazing ❤! Harry and Mr Tyrrell are such sophisticated and passionate Gentlemen ! Keep it up ! We love your attitude 😊
I was waiting for these two giants getting together
So nice that you con show us the process, what a workshop!
That bill will be eye watering 🙈 Great content as usual!
Iain's level of work continues to impress! Amazing work, really.
Lol!! Harry’s drunken slurred speech at the end is priceless! 😂😂😂😂
Full rebuild and refurbishment of the Lancia, thorough work on the Countach, Espada in for fettling, Testarossa body panels getting sorted out... Harry is a one man artisan employment agency!
Fab video as always! Iain is a genuis. Weird ending! I could watch Iain Tyrell talking about Lamborghinis all day.
Harry + Ian + Countach = Sunday sublime soiree
A video without music, without much editing, just showing two middle-aged men talking and showing bits and parts of a car under restoration is somehow more interesting than 99% of the stuff on CZcams.
My favourite Harry's Garage episodes are those with you and Iain chewing the fat
It’s amazing the tube framing on these cars. A friend of mine had his Ferrari Testarossa on a lift at his house with the engine and transaxle on a workbench. Looked more like scaffolding in the rear than a cars framework
6:20 Harry admitting his shaft has seen some action. Anyway, back to the Countach.
Finally an update on the countach again. Great Sunday
Thanks for taking care of these wonderful cars :)
I have neither a classic supercar nor the money to own or run one, but I could listen to Iain Tyrell talking about track rod ends and head gaskets til the cows come home.
The more I see the blue Miura, it just keeps getting more beautiful. Stunning color on perhaps the best shape.
Fantastic news can’t wait to see/hear your Lamborghinis again on another road trip 👍🏻🏴
Love these restoration videos, which provide a real insight into the way these classic Italian sports cars were made. The Countach is coming along superbly.
You two are the best thing since Saturday was invented
Loved this , wish these were MUCH longer as time speeds up watching these 🏴😎
Gotta love this wonderful world where two people are making videos about the restoration of their Countaches
can't wait to see the bill for all this! great content as usual
Same here. I love how can throw endless amounts of money at his cars, like confetti. Must be nice to have that level of wealth. I agree, his videos are always brilliant.
I reckon it's the sale of the Pagani Zonda that is still paying for all of this. I reckon he must've made a million quid profit on that one...
Mortgage territory for most of us, I suspect 😄
@@chadderton I'm sure harry has worked for it though and he is a real enthusiast doing what we all would love to be doing !!
It is a big boys game owning these types of cars, but as the saying goes, if you can't take a joke, don't join the army!
Great! hope we see the engine going back in.
When two big gearheads come together
Harry is a 64 year old KID...I love it!
in a mad mad world, you videos bring some sanity!!! love the car, love the garage, and mr Tyrrell!!! thank you!
These updates are my favourite! Thanks guys.
2:41 It needs an engine put back in.
Yes, yes...maybe a Chevy...?
Iain, that was absolutely evil. 👍
Harry great timing fixing up the Fulvia zagato, it's 1 of the show case cars of fast x(new fast and furious movie), the prices are gonna sky rocket!!!
I hope you are willing to share the final reckoning on the Countach! I’m guessing in the neighborhood of 100k. 😮
Fascinating stuff as usual with Harry and Iain in the same room.
Proper attention to detail. Expensive but the only way to do it. It will be a rare experience to drive a perfect one...
I'm watching Matt Farrah from The Smoking Tyre getting his Countach getting overhauled at the same time as Harry's get overhauled, beautiful
Brilliant and masterful video. Truly impressed!
You are living such an exciting life Harry, I tip my hat to you Sir. Well done 👏👏👏 great videos and great editing 👍👍
Thanks Harry
So Fun to see all the mechanics, etc..
You and Iain ROCK!😊
Namaste!!!!
I real lesson in how to do a job to the very best of your ability.Excellent and so relaxing to watch. Thanks
Got to hand it to you Harry.....major restorations x3, (Shadow/XKC/Zagato - have I missed one?) and two serious Lambo refreshes at Iains all in twelve months.
You are the man.....or at least, your bank manager thinks so!
Huge respect Harry, and great content too.
With spring round the corner, I suspect we will be seeing a Harry's Farm update soon?
Fantastic visit!
Brilliant progress and presentation. I recall attending ‘The Motor Show’ at Earls Court in 1973 as a little boy. There, pride of place on the Lamborghini stand, was a bright red Countach….. I always wanted one so I could go underneath car park barriers without having to pay! How the 8yr old mind works….. car parking fees are the least of your worries Harry! 😂
That SE30 Diablo.......I'd kill for it. *drool
As beautiful as it is, this car is still cobbled together.
That fresh suspension and brake set-up is mouth-wateringly beautiful
Love watching these two together. Two passionate car guys in their element
Can't wait to see it go back in Harry 😎😎 bet those back tires cost a pretty penny🤓 I'm sweating having to replace my 15 inch Focus Mark 1 tyres 🤣🤣
That's putting it mildly. 1162 quid per hoop...
@@AB-80X 😳😳😳
This workshop is a heaven of classic supercars.
Great Vid harry! 👍🏻 Anyhting involving your wonderful content & Iain Tyrell's great expertise (and the superb quality of his team's work) is frankly, YT GOLD! 😃😍👍🏻
Great video. I enjoy listening to Iain speak.
