The 67th Safari Rally Edition 2019 - WRC Candidate Event

The Safari Rally has taken a major step in it's bid to return to the World Rally Championship (WRC). This year's competition is a candidate event which almost confirms the country's' dream to have the event back in the top tier of global motorsport circuit in 2020.
Well done to the organizing committee, the Government of Kenya led by H.E Uhuru Kenyatta and everyone who put in enormous effort to ensure the event's success.
It is our hope that the WRC, FIA and all stakeholders involved find it fit for the safari rally to return to the WRC calendar next year.

,,,,,Man, I would've Loved to Race in Such an Open atmosphere! as a "Real" Rally Driver!,,,,other than Driving fast on Country road's around here in Ontario, Canada, the Closest I ever got to a Real "Rally" race was while serving on U.N. duty in Cyprus w/ Canada,,,,we ran in One of the Amateur races Held on the Island in 1985!,,,,w\ a 4-door '83 Honda Civic!!, that we rented from our Leave center for the Weekend!, We finished 23'rd!,,,,,,in a field of 25!,,,LOL!!
