    The only thing I do not agree with is that those living with mental health issues should always be looking for "recovery". Some mental health issues are just what someone may have to live with and cope with and it can add to day to day stress being told that it should be something to "recover" from. I am coming from a public health/harm reduction/peer support perspective. But most of the rest I fully agree with.

    Myth: "People only self harm when they are self conscious"
    FACT: "ANY REASON IS VALID AS FOR SELF HARM BECAUSE THAT IS THE LEAST OF YOUR WORRIES!"

      Yes people living with mental illness have lower rates of violence towards others and higher rates of self harm or suicide is what stats show. This is why they should seek help if they get to that point
