The Flash: Why Season 3 Failed

- The Flash was a great show for one season then an average show for another season. And then, in season 3, it finally completed its descent into badness. Let’s talk about it.

At the end of season 3 Flash said to Savitar, "I’ll never let the pain, the darkness, determine who I am".
I genuinely believe that this line would’ve been much more impactful had Iris actually died and Barry decided to not let her death change him. It would’ve been much more poetic and would’ve created room for better writing. Also, they could’ve brought back Patty in the coming season and we wouldn’t have to deal with *We aRE tHe FLasH*
Exactly. Like it didn’t mean anything because we all know that if Iris had died at ANY point in the series, he would’ve became that brooding figure we saw in 2024

There's also a small plot hole about Savitar: He didn't exist until after Barry undid Flashpoint. Yet Jay says he knows about Savitar, when it is shown that other Earths weren't affected by the Flashpoint change.
Not really: Savitar says that in the time he had being a literal paradox he went back in time a xouple of times just to create a myth about himself "*Savitar* the god of speed" so since he became such a figure the rumors were probably spread even on other earths
@@topino1262 that still doesnt add up. There were changes done to Earth 1 that were noticable to other Earth residence such as when Harry and Jesse came and noticed the changes to Star labs. If that is the case, and the other Earth's weren't affected by Barry undoing Flashpoint on Earth 1, then Jay would have noticed something off when there was suddenly tales of a god of speed he never heard of before.

The Flash would be such a good show if they just made like 13 episodes per season so there wouldn’t be that much filler. Also to have a detailed plan, it seems that they just make up the story as they go along.

Why Season 3 Failed: They didn’t kill Iris
Duolingo Owl amen
Duolingo Owl facts she was annoying af
I agree. They should’ve killed Iris and have Barry learn from the mistakes of his future self. Have him embrace the surviving time remnant, thus preventing Savitar from turning evil. Keep his friends and family close, and prevent Wally from going after Savitar. Etc
But if that happened the flash would become savitar again
KAIZI not if the premise of S3 was Barry learning from his mistakes. His time remnant became Savitar because he was shunned, so if the team didn’t shun him, he wouldn’t become Savitar
Zoom is the only villain that they didnt turn into a children's villain after introduction. Other than that most villains keep just sending lesser characters after the group to pad out the show
They did it from season 1
I was a kid who enjoyed this when I first watched it but now I realize you have to be a dumb kid to even be able to watch this without cringing uncontrollably
Zoom literally sent weaker metas from earth 2 to fight flash😂
Savitar had the potential to be a good villain that made Barry TRUELY confront his flaw of being both the most selfish character on the cast (other than Iris... and maybe Wally), while having a savior complex constantly causing him to self sacrifice.
The season opened with the minor ramifications from flashpoint and swept them under the rug faster than Iris can blame everything on everyone else. Those consequences briefly highlighted Barry's selfish nature and how when it comes down to it, his decisions with his life at the forefront of priorities.
When fighting savitar in the alternate timeline he knew he could make time remnants to fight with him because his self sacrificing nature is borderline suicidal, but he never considered the consequences.
Then when one of them survived he was effectively shunned by everyone he cared about, depriving him of emotional stability and slowly leading him to lashing out. The solution? Literally throw him away.
The team spent so much time trying to rehabilitate villains and characters who had never showed any capacity 'for good' (as they would put it), and yet they completely discarded a version of Barry that didn't act as they expected.
But no, the solution to this season was simply 'kill him'.
(side note, super pissed HR died in Iris's place)
Yeah seeing these jagoffs get screwed over (albeit very briefly and with no lasting consequences because this is the CW) was immensely satisfying to see.
savatar is the best villain tho but he really isnt evil thats the thing
HR was my favorite 😭
Savitar: I am the Future Flash!

"The one thing black Flash can't fight: *C O L D*"
That's so absurd I can't even comprehend it
Red Atlas shouldn't he be more of a ground type?
It was explained in season 1 in the first episode with Captain Cold, "Rogue time" I think : speed and temperature are linked. The colder a body gets the slower its molecules vibrate until the whole body is slowed down. It's one of the rare time were there's a solid scientific explanation in the show.
Ondine grimm that point remains how the hell was caitlin fast enough to freeze him. And the black flash isn't really a person he's a a speedforce manifestation of death
Hasn't he the body of Hunter Solomon, so a physical form ? It's not the most satisfying of explanation but let's say that BF was too focused on Savitar and was taking in by surprise.
The cold gun was specifically designed to stop a Speedster therefore yeah it should stop a Speedster and Caitlin was able to use killer frost powers to create absolute zero before so killer frost should be able to do the same

I wish they explained Savitar a whole lot more. Wouldn't it be cool to see the actual finale as the mid-season finale, but Iris actually dies and we see the consequences, Barry's fight with Savitar and follow how he became Savitar. Then if you really need a good ending, show how Barry defeats Savitar and breaks the closed loop and prevents Savitar from being created. Not by shooting some gun at him, but preventing Barry's time remnant from becoming evil in the first place. But Iris has to die permanently, since if you're gonna make it such an important plot point you need it to stick to it.
I love that as the show went on over the next 6 seasons people have come to the conclusion that this season and 4 are actually good, they just weren't on the level of seasons 1 and 2 so people jumped straight to bad.

Neither. It wasn't the only good episode (probably the only good one of s3 other than flashpoint) but it was honestly real good
The writers try even less than you think.
Arrow/Flash parallels:
S1- Main villain has personal ties to the hero and is the catalyst for the tragedy that made the hero who he is. The villain is responsible for dead parent #1. The season ends with the self-sacrifice of the main love interest's other love interest.
S2- Main villain gets enhancements from a super drug and has an army of superhumans he lets loose upon the city near the end. The villain is responsible for dead parent #2 and the main villain gets stuck with a fate worse than death instead of outright dying.
S3- The main villain is a cult leader whose main goal is to take away everything the hero loves in order to twist the hero in his own image (literally, in Savitar's case).
S4- The main villain has powers the team isn't accustomed to facing and his master plan is utterly stupid and will result in destruction on a global scale. The villain goes out in underwhelming fashion. The main love interest also becomes insufferable this season.
S5- The main villain is a serial killer with an axe to grind (Prometheus is _way_ better, though). The main villain also only exists due to the actions of the hero in a previous season.
Omg bruh it’s like they really weren’t trying

Yeah the Iris-Barry Step Siblings this is really problematic, and a big problem is Joe who doesn't exist in the comics is an amalgamation of different characters from the comics James Forrest who is a DNA analyst who is usually a word of wisdom for Barry, and Daryll Frye who it's strongly implied took Barry in and raised him after his mom died, Joe basically serves that role here, unfortunately, when Iris is Barry's main love interest it becomes a problem when you've basically turned them into siblings
Honestly, I don't think the fact that they're step-siblings is even the problem. It's just that the two characters have no fucking chemistry at all and the writers really made Iris blatantly insufferable and not worth being the Flash's damn love interest to begin with.
Problematic? Because someone told you so? Outline the problem.
so james frye? or Daryll forrest? imo, would've been much better name.
@@Chance57 Because getting into relationships with relatives by blood or adoption who you grew up in the same house with is disgusting and wrong.
A couple other bad things with the Barry-Iris romance
1) It's the lazy _"He's had a crush on her ever since they were kids"_ set-up. Instead of showing him develop feelings, they're just there in the beginning, then there's a season and a half of will-they-won't-they, then they get together and it becomes even worse because they have no chemistry, and neither have really changed as people to result in the relationship
2) They have no chemistry. What really sucks is that Barry and Caitlin have way more chemistry. Hell, he's had more chemistry with just about every other girlfriend/love interest than he does with Iris. I'd even say he has the most chemistry with Oliver
3) Iris is just a bland character. She did the cliche thing of being insulted and angry that he didn't reveal a personal secret (him being the Flash) that he was not obligated to tell her. She keeps being made out to be this super important person, even acting like she is the only one who could pull him out of the Speed Force in season 2 (And _not_ his own father that he spent his whole life working towards proving his innocence). The stupid *"WE* are the Flash". and the goddamn #Feminism hands in the middle rally cry
They also did the lazy "soulmates" thing. In real life there's no such thing. People meet, get to know each other, fall in love and so on but they're not destined to be together from birth. It's just a bad writing trope when they can't be bothered to develop a couple.

How Flashpointy is this season?
Producer: I mean we obviously we uh... tried to uh...
Literally whole cast looks down LoL!!!!
david aguirre I love the host's t-shirt
I’m just gonna say this now because it holds true. Not only were the effects of Flashpoint absolutely fucking retarded, but more so... they can’t do it. Period, end of story. You simply can’t write Flashpoint if the rest of the DC cast and crew isn’t there, it’s just necessary. Did these idiots even read the comic or watch the movie?! The entire reason why Flashpoint was so bad to begin with was because the literal world was going to end unless Barry Allen could fix his fuck up.
I had an idea.
So in the mid season some events occurs and the person who supposed to die changes from iris to Caitlyn. Caitlyn has powers but she doesn't turn evil but she has mental stress and fear of becoming killer frost. The change in events push her to the edge.
Barry believes that if the outcome has been changed once it can be changed again since it is not iris and Caitlyn has powers he doesn't make it his priority.
This makes Caitlyn isolated and when savitar offers her a deal to save herself (he knows about her fears because he is from the future), she takes it.
This induce conflict in the team and challenges Barry's moral of being the flash.
So how did I do?
Comment down.
When he asks the cast about how "flashpointy" the season will be there is a moment where almost every single actor is looking at the ground. They are soooo uncomfortable and are distancing themselves from the interviewer and question. Fucking amazing.
What I love about the Wells-s is that even their voices are kinda different.

Why can't there be a speedster villain where Barry has to be better at fighting instead of being faster
Edit: lol they just tried this with godspeed and it was horrible and cringey. Just go back to a normal speedster villain please. I miss the first few seasons of the flash, and yes that includes season 3, looking back on it it wasn’t that bad except for the finale
Zomagedon right
Zomagedon because that's what determines the better speedster
Turtato not really, Barry always got faster to beat them.
Barry had to get faster than eobard thawne, and won at the end of season 1
Zoom was way better at fighting, but Barry used a tachyon device to become wayyy faster, giving himself an upper advantage.
Savitar was faster than barry, so Barry had to get faster to beat him.
They need to make a speedster show up where he's slower than Barry, but way stronger than him, cobalt blue kind of matches the description.
Zomagedon Because he's flash, speed is what determines a speedster. But, I rather have a better fighter than a faster flash.
Lighting shadow they better make the thinker really powerful then. Maybe everything his mind thinks, he can do it. So he could do telekinesis, fly, speed, everything

yeah. They should've made it 13-12, or even a 6 episode mini-season to develop that storyline and let barry grow as a character. And also they could've killed iris in that timeline, automatically making it the best timeline.
5 episodes or a crossover event maybe, but an entire season would’ve dragged the story on too long. the comic storyline itself was only 5 issues long

Light Yagami I liked that H R he was pretty lit
How Flashpoint should've been:
1. Barry was never gone back in time to save his mother at the end of season 2, however the Savitar storyline continued.
2. S3 ends with Iris dying, so after all the pain that Barry has taken, he realized that he couldn't keep going forward with his life, so he decides to go back in time to save his mother.
3. Flashpoint starts in S4 and it last much longer till the end of the season instead of one single shitty episode, Cisco is replaced by Chester, Caitlin is replaced by Allegra, there's a new Harrison Wells and Max Mercury is The Flash.
4. Savitar is immune to timeline changes, he senses that something went wrong and that captures his attention, so in some way later he's going to be involved again into Flashpoint.
5. At some point of the story, Barry loses his speed and he starts losing more memories of the original timeline, later with the help of Chester and the team, Barry finds a way to regain his powers by recreating the same accident that made him become Flash (basically the Runway Dinosaur episode never happened in S2, so i thought it would be smarter to save it much later for Flashpoint).
6. In the last episode Barry accepts Iris's death and he finally defeats Savitar by also telling him "i'll never let the pain and darkness, determinate who i am, i'll never be like you."
7. After Savitar got defeated, Barry finds out that he secretely planted a powerful unstoppable nuclear bomb strong enough to destroy Central City, Max Mercury tells Barry that he can't do anything about it and he needs to run back in time to fix everything, the two shares an emotional farewell and Barry runs away, the bomb violently explodes erasing Max and everyone in the city, Barry weakened manages to go back in time to stop himself before he saves his mother in order to fix the original timeline.
8. Returned to the original timeline, Barry finds out his lightning changed from yellow to blue and he's worried that he's dying just like Zoom, Cisco is surprised and he funnily explains to Barry that the reason why his lightning changed is because his connection to the Speed-Force increased a lot, which makes him way more powerful and faster than ever before. Cisco then gives to Barry a new suit as a gift, straight from the New 52 comics with the golden boots.
9. After having reunited the team again, later Barry and Caitlin pays homage to his family's grave and Iris in the cemetery:
Barry: Joe offered to take me so many times, i always found an excuse to say no *takes the Runaway Dinosaur book* my mom and i read this when i was a little, do you know it?
Caitlin: oh that book? Yeah! My mother used to read me that everytime before i go to sleep, i once wanted my father too to read it for me but he never did it....
Barry: why?
Caitlin: because....my father was always busy with his work and never cared about me, sometimes he even started a fight with my mother and i had to stay in my bed on my room because i was scared....
Barry: you never told this to anyone ever before? Not even to Ronnie? I'm sorry Caitlin, you must had a rough childhood
Caitlin: nah don't worry, that was a long time ago, i stopped seeing my parents since i left the college. And hey....i'm really sorry too for what happened to Iris, she loved you with all his heart, i'm pretty sure she would be proud to see that you didn't still give up
Barry: thank you Caitlin, i'm pretty sure Ronnie would think the same about you too : )
Caitlin: so anyway....what are you going to do now?
Barry: you know, i learned a very important lesson recently, i'm seeing things differently now. I wasted so much time being angry and sad about what i lost, when i had so much....Cisco, Joe, H.R. and you.
The truth is Caitlin, i don't know what this is, what the future holds for me next, all i know is....Iris has been everything to me and she always has been. My memories about her, dad and my mom will always remind me that no matter what, i'll always be here to protect my city and being The Flash, along with my friends and you : )
*Both Barry & Caitlin smiles and hugs each other, the scene slightly teases a possible new romance for the next seasons.*
10. The episode ends with a beautiful montage of Barry racing at Central City with Wally West, the two suddenly hears from Cisco and Caitlin that there's a new dangerous metahuman in the city threatening people's lives, Wally West asks Barry if he comes with him and he says that he has to do something pretty quick, Wally goes while Barry strangely watches something, he's watching the same building where Iris used to work there in CC Jitters, at one moment Iris appears as a vision and she smiles at Barry, Barry then starts running to the place where Wally is headed to.
The screen cuts with Barry in slow motion creating an epic sonic boom and remembering the words.....
*Run, Barry, run.*
It would have been boring and nosense
Its kinda cringe tbh.
I loved the first season of this show. Every subsequent season has gone further downhill. The show doesn't even portray Barry's powers consistently.
S1 still had Barry not using his powers efficiently, this show is honestly so overrated, s1 and s2 were like B-C tier but every other season was just flat out garbage.
@@LiquidFart69420 agreed
I was honestly more sad when it was revealed that HR died than when it was supposed to be Iris
Thundergoom exactly
Same
Was anyone not?
YES HE WAS THE BEST!!!! He’s the best character and I would rather throw Iris and Caitlin onto a flame than HR dying. Also, Draco Malfoy never comes back. He was pretty good
i am not killerfrost. I am not catlyn either. I am the ARROW XDDDD

Green Arrow... you have failed this comment
About the time loop that crated savitar - the answer is that the speed force created him to revenge Barry about messing the time line, and because the speed force is kind of the time itself, they created some kind of a loop that never really starts or ends.
And about savitar powers - in the beginning of the season, before they took him out of the speed force, he was stack there and this is why he could move through this wired blue void, running fast around but couldn’t really do anything. After they took him out and poot there Woley, he was just a little bit faster then Barry, cause he is Barry from the end of season four. (He says something about “this is the room when we made this thing to stop de voo”)
And now, the most interesting part, how savitar got his scar?
Well, remember the time loop? Savitar created himself, right? Well, to make it easier, he gave Barry this scar so he will be more... angry about life.
I really enjoyed this video 😁
I would rewrite the season the be 13 episodes long with Flashpoint as 6 episodes. You can have bigger changes like Oliver's dad being Green Arrow and Diggle being called John Stewart, and then second half can focus on the fallout of Flashpoint.
Season three is my favorite season,
But one thing I can agree with,
Is that if iris died, things would be a lot more interesting for season four,
And I wouldn’t have to suffer seeing iris being a speedster
Ugh preach
ShadowPheonix13 big agree
I usually disagree with public opinion on this kind of thing, especially on my first watch of a show, but I honestly just hated s3 every time
Yeah I liked season 3 except HR sacrificed himself for IRIS!!!!! 😡
i didnt know people still see these kinds of videos haha
I laughed so hard when they said the philosopher's stone with Tom Felton in the series
Prezzi Player omg I didn't even realize that!
Prezzi Player So did I. I actually spit out my juice.
Let's not forget
"Scared, Allen"
"You wish"
Well philosophers stone isn't original from Harry Potter it's from ancient science (alchemy)
I cringed, i felt like "OKAY CW! WE GET IT! YOU GOT DRACO MALFOY!"
11:44 - "I just wanted that Julian to do what all katlin's partners did and DIE"
DAM...that was harsh
20:08 The best part of this musical crossover was that it was during that period where CW didn't try to make every DC property have the same tone. So you'd have This week on Flash/Supergirl: DELIGHTFUL MUSICAL. | This week on Arrow: VIGILANTE CAPTURES OLIVER, MURDERS HIS TEENAGE SIDEKICK IN FRONT OF HIM, AND PUTS A FUCKIN' BLOWTORCH TO HIS FLESH TO BRAND HIM AND PSYCHOLOGICALLY VIOLATE HIM.
"It was just a Wells. We'll get 'em a new one." *OMG*
They should have killed iris instead of hr
Junayed's villa they already have
EXACTLYYY I Cried When He Died
When he said Iris dying is all he really wants . I was laughing so hard because it was true
2:40 not exactly. when he is teleporting in Central city, he is actually restrained in the speed force, which allows him to move that fast. once he got out, he is just a little faster than barry, due to him being a future version of him.
Bury Allen was probably the best thing I've ever heard
I cried when i found out HR died #justiceforhr
Hr was the best character
Laerrus I was about to cry also....
Same here!
mr. waffles
It's pathetic how spineless the writers were. They chose not to kill of a character that has been around since the first season and actually add some story depth, but to instead kill of a character that's just been introduced and to simply replace them with a character that looks exactly like them.
#justiceforhr
I'm not Caitlin anymore
You're not killer frost either
No, i'm someone else
I am something else
I AM THE GREEN ARROW
Coming back to this video because I think everyone can agree that season 3 is was a fantastic season compared to season 7
Honestly I think everyone overhyped the hate towards this season I actually thoroughly enjoyed it. One of my fav seasons
I agree with both of you..
So true, season 7 is genuinely an atrocity, it’s the worst flash season ever. Back in 2017, it seemed like flash season 3 and arrow season 4 were the lowest the Arrowverse could get, but those two are no longer the worst, with what we are getting now.
Tbf that's not hard when the competition is shit
@@JakeMckay1738 s3 is bad, y'all love to overrate and overstate this shitty season lmao
“I’m not Caitlin anymore”
“Your not Killer Frost”
“No I’m not I’m something else, I’M BATMAN”
This video is two years old but I just gotta say it.
Patty was a better love interest for Barry than Iris ever was.
Doczy facts
Literally, the writers have such hard-on for her, when there's obviously much more chemistry between Barry and a multitude of other characters
Exactly what I was saying bruh, that pissed me so off when they let her go. She even know Barry was the flash even tho his ass kept on denying it
I would rather have caitlin and barry than barry and iris. Caitlin and barry had incredible on screen connections in season 1.
@@Jadevious Bruh I'm convinced that too, they forced the fuck outta Barry and Iris relataionship, still knowing the fact that she's his adopted sister smh
Season 3:i'm the worst season
Season 4:hold my beer...
demonocus metalocus Supergirl: take a seat my child
supergirl is a different show so supergirl can't be the worst flash season :)
demonocus metalocus Season 4 isn't the worst. That's crazy
Except it's a better season, quit being a hater.
I'm not a hater i love the flash show but this season is the worst and i want the show to improve so it doesn't get canceled.
I adore this season for one reason: “Let’s go for a run”
There’s just something so visceral about him effortlessly ripping holes in the speed force and ragdolling Barry that I can’t get enough of.
And that sprinting animation is easily peak
"If he died atleast i know everyone else would be safe." That hits different in season 6
I tried to explain to my sister how the speedforce "prison" works because i thought i get it but i realized the loopholes of that concept the more i tried to explain it. Kinda like burying my own grave there.
Am I the only one that liked patty better than iris?
You are not alone. She should come back for an episode or two.
Not by a long shot.
DARTHNOAH nope
Those of us that like Patty better than Iris most likely do because she had less screen time.
Because she's hot?
HR: dies
Tracy: cries alot
Barry: sad but more worried about iris
Iris: happy to be alive
Joe: doesn't care about HR's death whatsoever
Yeah they were kind of a holes about it considering he sacrificed himself to save Iris.
The only one who cared was Wally and that’s because the poor schmuck was the only one to believe in him.
Flashpoint could have been an entire series. They waisted it.
supreme84x you mean season, right?
Wasted*
They say "series" in at the very least the UK! Can't really make excuses for "waisted," though >.>
supreme84x or at least half of like the guy said
Barry was losing his memory stupid
Season 2 was really good. Almost as good as season 1. Earth 2. Man in the mask. ZOOM For the first 16 episodes was brilliant.
Just the finale was lacklustre which made the season underrated to many people. A bad ending meant people criticised
There were also far too many breaks that year in the latter half. It did Arrow favours because it gave you time to forget how much the last episode sucked, but it really hurt Flash's plot. From that moment on, I've struggled to connect with this show. The emotion connection is gone. Season five is good so far, but I have no idea why I haven't just stopped watching.
I didn't really enjoy season 2 nearly as much as season 1, even without considering the ending.
For me Season 1 was largely just decent. The meh first episode aside I fucking adored Season 2.
post incomplete, Just like Savitar's character writing!
4:27 If it were me here's how I think they should have done Savitar's origin. Have Savitar be this ancient deity of the Speed Force, but have the future time remnant of Barry Allen simply pose as Savitar to the cult. That would be much easier to understand in my opinion. Then the end of the season the Future time remnant of Barry is killed when the real Savitar appears.
So we would never get the actual real villain until the end of the season?
@@deathstroke5218 No Future Barry is still the main antagonist and the real Savitar is like a neutral being.
i think that's what they were going for. But then they fucked it up lmao
@@deathstroke5218 pretty much Godspeed lol
What would have been good is if they made the story about trying to change the future, but the future cannot be changed and the strat of season 4 could be showing how they got barry back from his depressed state. This would also have made the crisis on infinite earth story have a larger emotional impact, because they have already went through trying to change the future once, but failed. Thus, there would be more tension
Savitar and reverse flash:I don't feel so good
See what you did there
And Nora
All Flash seasons are the same, don't believe me? Let me ask you a question.
Which season is it where a cosmic incident happens at the beginning of the season causing the rise of many different meta humans in central city, and Barry is forced to fight them and defend the city. And then an evil speedster shows up who turns out to be a member of team flash, and claims that he is the fastest man alive, forcing Barry to figure out how to run faster whilst struggling to keep a romantic relationship, and the season finale ends with Barry going into a portal?
Sanjay Raju Barry never ran as fast as Reverse Flash, Zoom, or Savitar though... Just saying.
Sanjay Raju OMFG!!!!
Sanjay Raju ever season of the D.C. shows is the same. Arrow especially
Sanjay Raju hahahahahaha epic
Sanjay Raju Oh stop being such a critic anybody whose been in business knows that doing something over and over again but slightly different makes people happy just look at Star Wars Force Awakens, you don't see anyone complaining about that.
Well it worked a hell of a lot more than anything after it
he got his scar when he was time reminant the savatar before him gave it to him.
And the reason he he didn't kill barry is because even though berrys death won't directly affect him he needs to kill Iris so berry will create the time remnant that becomes savatar so he does all of this to insure his own creation like how marty mcfly gets his parents back together to make sure he and his siblings could exist
Scholars will one day figure out how Savitar came to be.
Todd Howard:It works because it just works
Me:And those bugs in your games
Todd Howard:It works because it works
Grungy On Gmod LMAO like Ross said, I don't like having to do my own research to understand how Savitar came to be. If the showrunners and writers can't tell us in a way that we all can comprehend without diagrams and Reddit articles then you've made it too complicated
I think it's like the chicken and the egg scenario. Which came first?
It would be on one of those problems that cant be solve
good
Hold on, the Black Flash was beaten by Killer Frost freezing it? I didn't finish this season, I gave up, but if I hadn't, that woulda sealed the fuckin deal. Jay, Jesse, and Max Mercury couldn't beat it together, Wally had to run that thing to the end of existence to beat it in the comics! Any one else ever get the feeling the people working on this show have never actually read the source material?
Comic Fan Nick Me. Can't add much after these video and your comment, but still:
1) Uniting Future Flash and Savitar in one character, which is found out to be a stupid time remnant of Barry was COLOSSAL waste of 2 possible interesting characters. Besides, Savitar was Wally's villain, that's not fair towards him.
2) Westallen sucks, CW managed to show canonic pairing in such a ridiculous way, that Snowbarry looks much more logical and real. The chemistry between Grant and Daniel is much better. After first episodes of the show I honestly expected Caitlin to be Barry's love interest.
3) Motorcycle scene with Plunder. No comment, fastest man alive can't catch a guy on motorcycle, when he did it easily before.
4) Black Flash honestly doesn't scare me now. Whenever I see him, I think: "Oh, now they will kill him somehow".
Ayxan Mamedov the way Wally has been handled in this show is another thing that bothers me, since he's my second favorite superhero in the comics. I really don't care for the New 52 version, and most people don't either, since it's just not Wally. That's why they brought the original back in Rebirth. I also agree about Barry and Caitlin, I've been rewatching the first season and I think those two work better, also it's not borderline incest.
In the comics the black flash is a personification of death in the CW he is Zoo corrupted by the speed force condemned by it to be its most powerful agent for all of eternity I think you can tell which one is more powerful
Connor Schultz but the Black Flash is still the Grim Reaper for speedsters, he shouldn't be that easy to beat.
Comic Fan Nick do you know how many versions of the flash comics they are -.-
I came back to say Diggle made the nanite joke against Godspeed
the most memorable thing that comes to mind was the episode were Mark Hamilton played a Joker like character (found out he also played The Trickster in the 90s Flash show much later) and we found out one of the Harry Potter kids was possessed by a super villain demon voiced by Jigsaw.
I'm glad season 4 has no speedster villian
Tayyab Baig or has it
prakash chandraker they'll out one in as a cameo or something. Now in season 4, the thinker is the big bad.
NO they will Reverse Flash helps the chinese villan
Tayyab Baig I can see them bringing in Godspeed for an episode just as a nod to rebirth readers. Other than that I'm glad the thinker is the big bad
edward morris Godspeed probably wouldn’t be one episode due to his connection to Barry
The musical episode was completely for the fans of the actors. Many of the actors for both Flash and Supergirl were either on Glee or in musicals, so the fans have been asking and begging for a musical episode. I personally loved it, though I wish they did a better job with the Music Meister. Rather than it being a dream-like state, I would have preferred if they were singing in real time like he has done before, but I am super glad they cast Darren Criss for him.
bandotaku That could have been a lot of fun to watch
well everyone else wanted to die!!!
For Savitar, the only thing that I thought made sense was that Savitar comes from the S2 timeline. Barry saving his mom would almost erase him until he found a way to go to the reverse speed force or something. Then would have killed Iris to ruin Barry's life (a revenge since Barry ruined his life by altering the timeline).
But even that doesn't really make sense (it still leaves a time remnant that is still alive).
Flashpoint Barry: “You go to hell”
Thawne: “You’re taking us both there!”
Well he wasn’t wrong seeing how this season turned out
Nah, season 7 was the real hell.
I died when he said the black flashes's weakness was fucking cold
Barry: Oh fuck, Iris really died, (Vader's voice) NOOO!!!!... oh wait, it was just HR... fine to me.
Asshole HR brings them coffee and is optimistic, joyful and nice person and they don't even mourn for him if i was there i would be crying to the point i would make lakes what asshole Barry is.
Also lemme explain how the savitar timeline works if I understand it correctly, so basically savitar was originally actually not Barry at the very beginning and he was just a random person that we don’t know, or he might have been one flash team members, anyways the first savitar when he killed all the time rementants he only left one to survive because he knew that team flash would shun him because he wasn’t the true Barry Allen, plus he just lost iris, so he just ran away from team flash, when future Barry finnaly defeated savitar and locked him up in the speed force, at that point he already won because not only did he kill iris, but he managed to make a time loop, currupt a time remnant of Barry making him savitar, the time remnant of Barry was so currpted that he became savitar, making an even better savitar and faster one than the og who we will never know who that was. Then the savitar time loop just continued going and going only diffrnace is it was Barry this time untill f8nnaly one timeline of Barry which is the one we r in right now managed to stop savitar without being currupt. Correct me in the comments if I’m mistaken also the reason savitar didn’t kill Barry was because the loop wouldn’t have kept going if he did and the. Savitar would be dead
HR dying genuinely saddened me because he was arguably the best character in the show at that point and we just got more of Olicity but Flash style in place of it. Its literal fucking cancer to my brain.
