Good video to help new people improve there fourtrak, i have a few questions tho 🤣 when fitting the snorkel how come you modified the air box you should of just taken the air box out and ran a pipe from the snorkel thats what i did with our fourtrak put a gause in the top to stop anything getting in works great, also when adding the lift springs did you modify the torchun bars at the front or did you just wind them up as im adding disco springs to mine and just wondering thats all
thank you phil, so your first question, just because i wanted a decent filter for the air, the farm gets properly dusty in summer! and because i didnt think of it! lol no just wound them up, i could have wound them up further but 2.5 inch was fine for me, i will go bigger tyres to get more lift.
@@garageorgold7098 okay matey will have to try it i was gonna cut them and rotate them so if in future i need more of a lift i can just wind them up more lol
That's a good idea, I found if I wound them up much more than that the wheels started to pull in at the bottom, and I didn't want to wear my tyres on the edge so I left it at 2.5 figured if I needed more I could do a body lift
@@garageorgold7098 Yes Ive got done 2 new springs, but they did them wrong, after 2 weeks the back of the truck was squashed like carring a lot of weight. So Im thinking of adapting Land Rover ones like you did. The problem now is that it has the original ones, and they feel stiff, I bounce like hell inside the truck, and if you load it with 2persons on the back it slams like if you put elephants in there. Is driving me crazy.
well i did end up using landrover shocks on the back, but had to change it as landrover are pin to [pin, and fourtrak is pin to ring setup. i used terra firma +5inch extendable shocks they work a treat tbh

Welcome 😊
How does the land Rover springs behaves? Arent they a bit too stiff? What about the load capability?
they are a little stiff, but with the shocks they work well, are you thinking about doing new springs?

So they are front land rover shocks on the rear ? Would rear landrover shocks not work ?
