Great Video! I recently changed the rear pads and skipped a few of the essential steps you mentioned just before the MOT. Lo and behold, my efforts were in vain as I failed the MOT for the hand break being below requirement. Only wish I took to the time to watch your video, (especially the end on allowing the pistons to adjust before lifting hand break) prior top changing the pads and could have said myself a few quid on a re-test. Live and learn!

hi mate, so i get that everyone uses vans most of the time, but in an ideal situation, you would (depending on budget) either replace all of them, and either code them in, or just drive 100 miles and they will code themselfs in, or if it were my van, i would either, take them off, and send them off to be tested, but that will take an age, or invest in an injector nozzel tester myself and test them myself. then just replace the ones that are past there sell by date lol

would suggest (only suggest!) that the cam belt may be good for another few years, althought if it were me, if you have to take the cambelt off, it makes sence to replace it, as the labour is already paid for, and a cambelt kit from gates is only around 100 pounds, but its up to you. if you get the kit from a reputable auto fators i would say it should last a lifetime with proper maintanence. good luck with your car, hope i have hepled somewhat!

At the end of the video you mentioned about wasting all the handbrake adjustment by pulling on the hand brake first before pumping the piston up to brake discs via the foot brake. Absolutely bang on there mate. I paid a £100 to a mechanic to adjust the handbrake on a Renault Master 2007 motorhome and it was ok for about a week. I noticed it first when putting the vehicle on levelling ramps on sites. Just got back from a month away and it barely holds on medium incline without ramps. The mechanic said maybe we need to check the handbrake cables now to see if they are stretched. Sounds like I may need a new mechanic. Thanks for the video I now understand the mechanical handbrake system at the caliper. Doubt the mechanic will appreciate me telling how to do it though haha.

Well I’m no mechanic but learnt by trial and error, when my engine is red hot the injector pulls out with pliers, cold engine it will not move at all, while iv got your attention on the m9 injectors is it the 7 digit number on to top of the injector that I need to program into the van? I think I’m still getting the old injector code come up on the software and my auto electrician (who’s never done this) 🤯 was sure that the codes coming up on his screen are the codes we need to program, this isn’t the case is it, I’m mildly confident that they are the old codes previously programmed in and we need to change injector 1s code
