Tome of Hero's by Kobold press actually has amazing items for monks. I understand that they aren't core books, but honestly the items for monks are simply so amazing, both for roleplay, and for mechanically making a huge difference without actually being over powered.

Cestus+1/2/3 based on rarity. Starts at uncommon, and grants a +1/2/3 to attack and damage rolls of unarmed strikes while attuned.
It also has items that helps the monk manipulate their ki points without just giving them a ton of extras, or items to increase the save DC of monk abilities.
Granted- these are all very easy items to homebrew, and I had already done so before the book came out, but these are well playtested, balanced, and interesting.

*Gloves of Soul Catching* are probably the best magic item a Monk could get, Astral Self monks especially. Automatically bumping your Constitution to 20, dealing an additional 2d10 force damage on every unarmed strike, AND healing yourself for an amount equal to the force damage dealt (or advantage on your next attack).
Of course, these lists of yours exclude Legendary items, but it would be cool to mention the best Legendary item for each class somewhere, maybe compiled into their own video. Especially because many people might not know of these items, given they're found in adventure books.

I had homebrewed a Monk item before these came out a few years back. I got pretty close lol: Mithril Fist Wraps- While wearing these fist wraps (which do not count as armor) you gain a +1 to AC. While attuned you gain +2 to hit and damage for your Unarmed Strikes, as well as the ability to empower your Ki as a Bonus Action by activating runes woven into the wraps. This ability restores a number of your Ki points equal to your proficiency bonus, you cannot use this ability again until you finish a long rest.

So I had to take a level in Warlock to use it but my sun soul monk has a staff of power from the dungeons of castle ravenloft that has been a game changer for him. In the same campaign, he also has the Eldritch claw tattoo that was a barter from a dark power in the amber temple. Because of this video, I now know about the dragon hide belt which will become the next necessary item to obtain. Add the insignia of claws (since it isn’t attunement based) and the enemies will truly melt in front of me

I remember working on a powerful NPC, who happened to be a Sorcerer Monk multiclass. The Staff of Power was definitely not designed to be in the hands of a martial class. Ignoring all the spells, just as a magic weapon in the hands of a monk it's a scary peice of tree.

What I wanna know is.... how did you miss the Gloves of Soul Catching? Comes from the Candlekeep Mysteries Adventure. It isn't any +X to hit/Damage. but it specifically makes Unarmed Fighting Fighters and Monks EXTREMELY self-sustainable. Here's the rundown of the Item:
    Source: Candlekeep Mysteries
    Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement)
Your Constitution score is 20 while you wear these gloves. This property of the gloves has no effect on you if your Constitution is already 20 or higher.
After making a successful unarmed strike while wearing these gloves, you can use the gloves to deal an extra 2d10 force damage to the target, and you regain a number of hit points equal to the force damage dealt. Alternatively, instead of regaining hit points in this way, you can choose to gain advantage on one attack roll, ability check, or saving throw you make before the end of your next turn.

I always that a squater staff as being Versitile to be very strange. A 1-handed quaterstaff is effectively the same rules as a mace, or a Tanbo as you suggested.
