Great questions for the Highland Representatives. They answered every question, and they were very informative for their Highland home section. All beautiful homes. That last home...needs to be on HGTV!😊 Beautiful design selections by the homeowner.

@aaronlathan I have a question for you. Since you and your wife purchased a Highland home, as a BUYER or maybe as an Agent, why are you a "Superfan" of Highland homes?
They have great models, a lot of cosmetic upgrade options, and inventory homes that look great. They also have consistently provided good experiences for my clients through closing. A couple hiccups here or there but for the most part they’ve been amazing to my client fam.

Is it cheaper to build a home or to get from their current inventory?
Less money usually on an inventory that has been sitting a while but then you’d have to pay to change things you don’t like. So there’s trade offs. But there’s definitely more willingness to make deals on inventory that has sat a few months.
That last one tho!

Hi Aaron, I'm debating between Toll Bros here in Meridiana and Teasewood Avenue on the other extreme end in Conroe lol. What are your thoughts on Teasewood Avenue vs Meridiana when it comes to resale value? What about your thoughts on Toll as a builder?
I don’t think you can miss with either location. It’ll more come down to whether or not you prefer to lean more heavily on the woodlands or Pearland as your support system. In terms of Toll Brothers, I love them as a builder in terms of product but I don’t have great experiences with them from a customer service standpoint. If you want larger than 50’ product you’ll have to go somewhere outside of Meridiana. It also looks like they may not be getting a new section here and are down to their final opportunities.

Textured walls. All builders in Texas.
For the frame, I see a lot of big builders (Newmark, Highland, Tripointe) are using finger joints wood instead of full wood like Perry homes. Is it good or normal?
I am prefer full wood than 😅
So on paper the finger joint is supposed to help with fighting warping but in my experience I haven’t noticed a ton of those members when walking those builders. In terms of overall integrity if the county municipalities are allowing to use the technique there’s usually enough of a paper trail to show it’s viable long term. But now I’m curious. I’ll go walk my neighborhood and report back on Highland lol

No power. But thankfully no damage. All these lakes and flood mitigation did what they were supposed to do thank goodness! Cuz it was insane out here 🙏🏽😫. Thanks for asking man

There wouldn’t be a build incentive as they’re all inventory. They’re not buying rates down that low. And the price of Carters are around $650K. I’m good but that’s 🥴🤣

No they aren’t I used to live in one build quality totally trash. Crack walls. They left rebar on the back yard concrete patio, loose crown molding in walls. Cheap paint etc
Don’t be mistaken a tour of model home with an actual build. These model home are made to show potential buyers so of course they’re gonna be done right with all the possible upgrade.
Hasn’t been my or my client’s experience. The things you described I would never let fly. Any builder will only be as right as you make them.
