This neighborhood has grown so much compare to what it was in 2020. I really was iffy when we first bought our house because there was nothing out here. But now it was really grown on me.

Great video thanks for sharing. We are in Meridiana and highly recommend that you add a water softener system. We’ve been here, eight years, and already had to replaced appliances and one of our hot water heater.

Congratulations and what a beautiful home. I love the kitchen backsplash and the curved stairs. We just built and it was fun picking out additional outlets. We also had the builder put gas on our patio and we got them to install an EV outlet in our garage just in case we purchase an EV one day. Another thing we did was added outlets on the roof for Christmas lights. Congratulations again and have fun making memories in your beautiful new home.

Good advice guys! Make a list of non-negotiables/must-haves, things that are structural should be prioritized. Aesthetic design & fixtures can be changed, room by room. I’m looking forward to that part personally 😊

Happy Birthday the house is Nice it looks like one of my fave builders in Texas (Highland😊 #2 Perry) and yes there is something about a 2 story and we are prepared to take an inventory I don’t feel like waiting and correct as long as the space is on point and the land around the house is at least an acre were good. Yes we moved from the DFW and we looked at that plan last Summer while house hunting lol but a job promotion moved us out of state later that year

What other areas in Texas do you cover? While I may be asking questions, having resided in Cali 50+ years and accustomed to having amenities within a 30 minutes drive, well, gosh I’m a little spoiled. Toll Brothers here is quite different in Texas! Loving the properties and acreage! New subscriber.
Welcome to the fam! ☺️👍🏽. Our lot is on the small side. If you want acreage you’re typically not in a community like this. Master planned communities where these builders are tend to build on lot system that range in size but are well under an acre. Acreage here tends to mean you’re out in the country. Most of the new build communities are about 45 minutes or more from Houston but are typically pretty close to necessities. So that shouldn’t be an issue.

I have the exact fridge in my house, it’s an LG brand the Insta-view model. I saw they have it at Lowe’s on sale because I newer version just came out. I think it’s around 1600 bucks.

Yeah I hate buying a product and then a few months later a “improved” version and they drop the price 500 dollars of the one I brought recently smh…it’s life I guess. Anyways, CONGRATULATIONS on a beautiful home! I brought an inventory home and I already changed the lights over the island haha I did a bunch of little things but it’s best to not get too caught up because everything so dang expensive. I already want to change my garage door to one with the glass panels on one side haha be careful with changing stuff, it can lead you down to a rabbit hole.

Usually restricted to the specific plans they have set for that community. They typically have different plans to offer in each place so they don’t all look the same. But I have had a client request a certain plan from another community and the development approved it. But that is not the norm. I understand where ya wife is coming from. I will paint the cabinets I don’t like white or gray cabinets some type of blue or green since natural stained wood is hard to find. Hardware changes yes and it does add up we will have to pace ourselves although that will be harder for me than the hubs

Hey great video, random question does it cost more to get the extra plugs, cabinets, floors done afterwards instead of doing it during the design center? Happy birthday as well💕
Case by case. Cosmetic things are typically less expensive afterward because builders have markups. But sometimes going through them is just less stressful and also maintains builder warranty. I’d encourage doing all structural things through the builder though (sliders, added rooms, patios etc)

I bought a Houston, Texas map today. I don't see Meridiana or Iowa Colony on the map. I see Manvel, Alvin, and Pearland. Are Meridiana and Iowa Colony unincorporated towns?
Meridiana is a planned community that is inside of both Manvel and Iowa Colony. The towns down south overlap a lot
