I moved from The Heights and purchased a home in Porter in the Woodridge Forest neighborhood. I loved it! It was safe, quiet, and conveniently located. I could get to the inner loop in 25 mins, about 35 mins to the Woodlands. Kingwood and New Caney have all the grocery stores and shopping that I needed.
Had to relocate to Arizona for a few years and I cannot wait to get back to Houston!
I have some friends who purchased a home in Artavia, you guys should checkout that neighborhood too!
I’ve got a few clients in Artavia. They like it a lot. We ended up going down south to Meridiana. But I definitely love a lot of the communities up north.

I love looking at model homes. I ran across this CZcams video. I live in a couple of towns over from Porter in NC and I love it. It's a little rural but not too rural. I shop and eat out at Valley Ranch and in Porter all of the time. Not as much traffic as Houston proper. I think you guys will🎉 love it

Hi Aaron. My husband and I looked at the Highlands all last year and fell in love with the first home. I literally cried walking through that floor plan. They will be building 2025-2026 part two across 99.

Yea I’ve filmed all over. I focus on larger planned communities though. But now that we live out south I’m updating my content down south
How do you feel about meridiana? Schools in neighborhood, trails and common areas? I have driven from downtown Houston and it takes me about 25 to 30 minutes. What is your opinion on long term outlook? And growth potential around the manvel area?
I think Manvel is a great alternative for those that love the Pearland area. It’s one that we’re personally considering. My clients that have moved out that way love it. There’s a lot of communities in Manvel/Iowa Colony so I see that continuing just by the nature of how much land is still back that way with access to 288. The biggest unknown is if the commercial support will get to the level where you no longer need Pearland. I Much prefer Towne Lake in Cypress area.
Cypress is by far our favorite suburb.

I love the Highlands but my issue is you have to pay the toll to get into the community. What’s the way around that?
All of the routes I’ve seen include 1314 and is kind of inconvenient depending on which way you’re coming from but it’s possible
Does it flood in that community
I haven’t seen any reports of flooding in The Highlands.
I toured all the homes in that neighborhood. However, we decided to build a Chesmar home
How are you liking it so far?
It’s great! We moved in Dec 12th. My husband and I are empty nesters so we downsized and got a 2700 sf one story
