Taco Tacito to play for SU you need to know your fundamentals. Playing loud isn't going to get you in the band tbh.. You just playing loud doesn't do anything for the section or band.
You need to learn to read music and know how to hit all your high notes and know all your scales just to get into a normal collage band now JSU is on a whole different level playing loud won’t do anything for u but as u said your only 13 you’ll get there one day
