    Brolic. Can you please take 2 months off and finish your theater? Waiting for your videos is like watching old schools TV - "Tune in next week for the next episode".
    I have to give you props. I could not do what you did, not because I'm broke, which is true, but I have very low patience. I would have just flung up a TV and some speaker in my unfinished basement and call it a day.
    INCREDIBLE.

    I just bought a mini 3D for my plasma . Are these processors better than what the tv's can do?

  • @garypranzo9334

    2 questions
    -Does it pass HDR10 and Atmos?
    -Does it manage Imax Movies with the above features?
    -Does it need an anamorphic lens to do that?
    (I currently use an epson 5050 lens memory to do CIH to a 2:35 screen)

    BB, been following you for years, man this build is taking for ever. What are you doing for music and movies in the interim? When will this build be complete?

    • @BrolicBeast
      @BrolicBeast  Před 7 lety +1

      maxwired 223 greetings...yeah, a very fair question. So, most of the work was done in 2014, Fall 2015, and Summer 2016. outside of those months, things in our personal lives (family loss, having baby, wife's car accident) have kept me out of the basement. The room is done except for some missing trim around the door...now I'm buying equipment, the last of which will be the chairs.

    Nice Brolic... Been following you for years. Just a question. Does one with an OLED tv need this unit? Let's say the LG E6? I just want to know if this will make the image better or is it mainly used for projectors. Love the theater room man. One day I will have one like it. Thanks

    • @BrolicBeast
      @BrolicBeast  Před 7 lety

      ozzman8 i think an OLED can absolutely benefit since the color reproduction is spool amazing. the CMS in this device would really make your OLED pop!

    What does this add after already having the projector doing the scaling ? just curious.

    • @BrolicBeast
      @BrolicBeast  Před 7 lety +1

      Damon Benjamin this piece offers scaling, aspect ratio normalization, output specification down to Hz/resolution across all devuced, color management system (biggest feature, in my opinion), shaping LUT for HDR (another key piece)....lots of other stuff, and probably, unicorn eyelashes! lol.. but the items I listed are the reasons I pursued one.

    Brolic Media this is random what exactly does a Video Processor do? I know that you can have several video devices connected to one but does it improve the quality of video signals?

    • @BrolicBeast
      @BrolicBeast  Před 7 lety +1

      Riddler95 yes sir....it improves color accuracy through CMS, and allows artifact-free scaling to any resolution and aspect ratio, among many other things.

    just out of curiosity what are you using to shot these videos with?
    the video quality is very blurry and not sharp like there is to much compression
    what kind of smart phone do you have? it will probably shoot better video
    Cant wait to see the final setup !
    your gear choices are very nice !

    • @BrolicBeast
      @BrolicBeast  Před 7 lety +1

      C815richard greetings. this was shot with a Sony 1080p camera. So, you're saying mobile devices have better sensors these days? Do me a favor? Please watch my Oppo UDP-203 unboxing video (shot with my iPad Pro) and let me know if it looks significantly better than this video. If so, I'll use that until I get a 4k camera.

    • @The.Home.Cinema.Engineer
      @The.Home.Cinema.Engineer Před 7 lety

      After re-watching your oppo unbox video it Did look better! maybe you had the lights turned down to low which would affect video quality but It did look sharper too then this video
      Not sure if you an apple guy or android guy but regardless both are capable of shooting great looking video and even 4k depending on what phone you have?
      there is even a $1.99 app for iphone called "ProMovie" which gives you full control over the camera wider angle view, exposure, color temp, resolution, everything
      for android I think the stock camera apps already allow for such controls
      on my channel I uploaded an oppo unboxing filmed on my Iphone 6 Id check that out to see the quality in hd
      just food for thought
      look forward to more of your home theater update videos
      cheers!

    I'm pretty sure it's not Gigahertz but rather Gbps, ie how much data flow the port can handle from the HDMI. 18Gbps is pretty much needed for 4K HDR 4:4:4 chroma. You will also need cables that are rated for 18Gbps

    • @BrolicBeast
      @BrolicBeast  Před 7 lety

      Droidz Hunterz there is a Gbs throughput, but there is also 18Ghz for 4k sources like a PS4 Pro or Xbox One S which are not purpose built high performance devices and benefit from the better frequency.

    Have you got your hands on a madvr envy yet . They have made improvements on the radiance pro but would love a comparison to the envy. Still early days i guess.

    • @BrolicBeast
      @BrolicBeast  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah I have no way not getting an Envy, but I do know the Lumagen Radiance did beat it in a properly executed blind test by some credible folks. With that being said, if I ever had the opportunity to check one out, I'd jump at it! For what it costs, I'd never buy it because of 1) cost, and 2) I already own a Radiance, but if I didn't have one, I'd really need to see both in action side by side before deciding.

    @WaffleProfanity Před 7 lety +1

    Anyone who buys a crap projector then pays $$$ for this thing...INSTEAD of buying an actual anamorphic lens is an idiot. This type of device just isn't necessary, certainly not at the price their trying to get for it.

    • @soufilms
      @soufilms Před 5 lety +2

      From the comment, you are posting it is obvious that an idiot is you, purely because you are not confident to talk about this device as you completely don't understand the purpose of that device. Before posting silly comments and making yourself look like an idiot, research and read more about the product.
