- Hi all,
All product links are further down 😊 ⬇️
Here's a video of how to create some stunning Turquoise inspired jewelry pieces, I think this would work with regular resin too but you will need to experiment. I made a mistake when showing the version I used alcohol instead of Acetone, I said alcohol inks, I meant Isopropanol alcohol. This video was inspired by a Nail Art channel called manicureZone on the other big video platform that I can't mention due to the algorithms 😂😂😂

I am fully aware of the risks of working with resin products and aim to give you great tutorials in a safe way. I film in a very ventilated area and keep risks to myself low. I would always recommend you to wear full PPE based on the data sheets for the chemicals you are using 😊😊😊.

That's the wonderful thing of art it does not have to look exactly alike the earrings cane out stunning
"Not an artist unless you create a mess" never thought of myself as an artist, but I seem to meet your definition. Boy am I good as messes. Love the looks you got.
😂😂😂 Of course you are an artist Bob! 😊😊😊
Haha! Me too! My resin room is quite messy!! 😃
I REFILL MY EMPTY SMALLER BOTTLES BECAUSE THE BIGGER ONE IS HARDER FOR ME TO HANDLE. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL AND YES I MAKE A MESS IN MY CRAFTING IT'S NO FUN UNLESS YOU CAN .SOME TIMES I FIND NEW LOOKS AND WAYS TO GET NEW EFFECTS . THANK YOU FOR ALL THE NEW WAYS TO DO THINGS. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL
Lol, why the caps? 😂
@@daniel..cooper did not realise that they were on giggle giggle .
I saw you putting that earring on the wrong way. I was like NOOOOOOOO 😂😂.
I like those. That is a nice easy way to spice up earrings.
😂😂😂 I knew someone would have seen it before I did 😂🤣
Gorgeous as usual ! Turquoise and gold...wow ! 💙💙💙
I always create a mess 😄😄😄
Thanks Dorianne 😊
🎉Love 💝 this one! Next time try silver instead of gold. Most of my 'real' turquoise has a silver matrix in it. I really like this technique. 😊
Thanks for the tip! 😊
Those earrings are beautiful! I really love them! I'll have to give that a try.
Thank you 😊
That's banging, another one for my 'fav tutes' folder! Thank you! xx
Thank you 😊
Fancy...Need! lol Great Job Dan!
If you did one in a cream colour, but without the gold, it would look like a moon!
I'm testing some ideas with this already 🥰
@@daniel..cooper Great minds think alike!

Wow, they are beautiful. Awesome work. Thanks for sharing ur talent!

TEACH: Thanks for the twisting trick on the bottom of the earring attachment.
I won’t discuss how many times I took the hook out to turn it the right way.
Just know this I truly appreciate this channel and am glad I am a member.

Very nice, some of the best creations come from a mess ❤❤❤
Thanks Maddie, they sure do 😊😊😊
Wow! These pieces are very pretty 😍 💕 ❤️. I can't wait to try it myself.
Thank you! 😊
This is a great idea for making moon pieces!
I thought this when mine came out darker on a trial run, I may try with glow powders and see what happens 😊
Fantastic Daniel!! Love that technique!! Thank you 🙏
Thanks Patricia 😊
Thanks for sharing your creativity with us!
Thank you so much for the Super Thanks 🥰
Great technique, Beautiful, thank you for sharing! Take Care
Thank you so much! 😊
These are beautiful!! Thanks for the video and of course the chuckles!!
Thanks Rhoda 😊
These look really good i love turquoise.
Thanks Kim 😊
As a person who wears lots of turquoise from the Southwest, while not spot on Daniel, it looks somewhat like "stabilized" turquoise, which only means that they have crushed it up and reconstituted the actual stone. I think that it is a fair "faux" turquoise and kudos to you my friend for having the fun of experimenting and coming off well. Great trial!!!
Wow, thank you so much 🥰
Those are amazing! You have great ideas! You could use the same technique to create lapis lazuli too! Ooo, head head is going overtime now! 😂
Thanks 😊 Possibly, it may spread out a bit differently
Wow! Another cool stone look 😍! I'll definitely be trying this one.
Thanks Lisa 😊
Great stuff Daniel!
Btw, Claire's Crafty Corner mentioned u on her video today! Yay!
Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and creativity while providing fabulous instructions/directions and suggestions!! Ur so awesome!! 💜✌
She's a diamond 🥰
Very pretty. Used to pick it up on side of road in the desert areas in Calif and Arizona. This is gorgeous. ❤ these. Very well done.
Thank you 😊 wow, you must have a lot then 😊
@@daniel..cooper so many I’ve lost count to be totally honest. Here in Connecticut we have garnet mines. Around the entrance you can pick up some nice rough ones. Occasionally, I drive to NY and hit the diamond mine there. Especially when it’s nasty humid hot. Inside the kind need a jacket. Lol
Awesome video!!! absolutely stunning. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! 😊😊
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS 😮😮😮❤❤❤❤ I WANT THOSE LOL
Thanks Tammy 😊
The nice thing about tourqois is it comes in a variety of colors. Love the one too!
Thanks Myla 😊 Yes, I looked it up, can look very different in many ways 😀
been trying to get that sort of look for a very long time! And your little tips are truly helpful!! Just giving that little hook at the end of the earring part a twist? Yup. I actually never thought of that!! Kind of laughed at myself for struggling with making sure jump rings are on right etc. Thank you Daniel!!
Yay, very welcome Terri 😊😊
Beautiful!
Beautiful
Who knew acetone would do this. Such a cool effect, thank you for showing us.
You’re welcome 😊 Thank you 😊

You are so welcome! 😊
GORGEOUS! I love the earrings!! And a great tip to turn the hook!

Thanks Terry 😊 🫂
@daniel..cooper I know this isn't the place to ask but you did a really cool video using mica flakes, bought the flakes now I can't find the video, can you tell me the video number?
@@terrydiehl2411 could it have been #117?
These are beautiful! Going to have to try it for myself. Thank you Daniel!!
Thanks Jackie 😊
It would be neat to see the frost effect that was dyed black on top of the blue, too. They turned out super pretty and very striking.
That's a great idea! Thanks Janice 😊
@@daniel..cooper I would love to see that too, great idea Janice

Thanks Claire 😊 🫂
Kinda gives a moon scape. Love your ideas.
Cool🥰
Thanks Deb 😊
Turquoise and gold are perfect, very very beautiful. 🙂🙂
They work so well together don't they, thanks Gulma 🥰
Thank you Daniel. I would like to say if you are using acetone make sure you clean any of it up right away because acetone eats through everything except metal even the safer polish removers with acetone will cause damage it just may take longer than the industrial strength.. I know because i worked with the product as a license nail tech a lot. It will eat through wood, paper, rubber, and silicone. I am not sure if it will continue to eat through the resin or if the curing it will stop the process. Acetone is what is used to take off acrylic nails that is how strong it is.
Thanks for that, I wasn't aware 😅
que belleza
Love the earrings. Is your wife the lucky recipient of your jewelry?
She sure is 😂😂
This is really gorgeous. It turned out better than I thought it might!
Thanks 😊
I absolutely love how these turned out ❤ I love turquoise, and they look so much like the real stone. Well done!
Thanks Coral 😊😊
I kept my small empty uv resin bottles so I could fill them up with that giant 1000g bottle… easier to handle that way… I use the big bottle when I need to pour large amounts of it into the little, cups… just a suggestion 😊
I did think this but the company said the viscocity between my large and small was slightly different so I didn't want to risk it 😊
@@daniel..cooper yeah, that’s why you use an empty bottle! I used up my small bottle and the. When it was empty, I cleaned it out… I would never mix uv resins from one bottle to another one… not even the same brand! Right now, I have 2 100g bottles of let's resin uv resin and a bottle of their High Viscosity UV resin… one of the 100g bottles has the SAME viscosity as their high viscosity and the other 100g bottle is thinner…l those two 100g bottles obviously came from different batches …
All that being said, you can clean out one of the smaller bottles and transfers some of the resin out of he large bottle! Just don’t ever mix em lol….
These are gorgeous! I would wear them 100%
Thanks Mandy 😊
Love turquoise and yes, it's hard to find and or mix, but you did a great job! Nice jewelry!
Thank you! 😊
Really cool!
I love turquoise jewelry. Beautiful job Daniel ❤
Thanks Debra 😊
Beautiful! As always , I love your work and easygoing vibe 👍
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the splatter mess. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much Kim! 😊
Encore un traväil magnifique !!!!!!!!! C'est superbe , merci Dan pour le partage 🥰❤❤❤❤
Thanks Claudine 😊
This is gorgeous 🤩 Can’t wait to try out this technique!
Those turned out very nice 😊 I thought I'd stop by from my arts and crafts channel to show ya some love 😊
Thanks Marcy 😊
I heard a great tip for curing UV resin today, if you're using a translucent mould, pop it on a mirror then cure, the reflection helps cure the bottom! Wiked tip I thought!
I have tried this but need to be very careful as the light can damage your eyes, it does work great though 😊😊
I will put my welding goggles into my resin room.
Wow Daniel these are absolutely stunningly gorgeous. I will be making them for sure. Thank you so kindly for sharing your wonderful talent ❤
@@daniel..cooper Noted, thank you for the warning x
Beautiful, as always😊 If you could see my messy craft desk, you would see that I must be Very Creative! 😂😂😂

TEACH - QUESTION: When you make your pendants do you provide the chain or necklace item, or do you leave that up to the client?
Either way, as long as they know 😊
👍👍👍
Dan, could you give me tips on how to not have tacky UV resin after it's cured? Even after repeated curing, my pieces always have a very slightly tacky surface.
Sure, it's more than likely Cure Inhibition, the best thing to try is straight after curing, pop into a small dish of water and cure under the uv light for a couple of minutes.
@@daniel..cooper Thank you, I'll try that. So kind of you to help. ❤️
@ginringames6730 let me know how it goes please 😊😊😊
I have the same mold:) i havent made anything yet and i hope i can learn to make jewlery with epoxy resin also how do you clean the mixing cup after? Like what do i do with the extra resin in the cup
❤🥰😍
🥰🥰🥰
Really love your work! You give tons of useful tips. Maybe you can help me with an issue I have with UV Resin. I use it often to cover my polymer clay pieces and after a few weeks, it becomes sticky, even after being fully cured, either by UV lamp or in full slight. I had to redo most of them with eopxy or varnish. Do you have any idea why that happens?
slight = sun light, sorry
Hello! 😊 Thank you fir the video!
Could you tell me please, what UV lamp do you use?
Just a 36w light 😊
@@daniel..cooperThank you! ☺️ I've just noticed that your lamp doesn't get off automatically. That's why I was wondering what lamp is it - how to find similar 🙌
So now I have to cause I’m launching my shop this weekend and I’ll need something gorgeous to wear! With non UV- one layer, actetone/mica, foil and dome workable? Would you wait at all before acetone? 😃🤗🎉
Perfect! I would do as you said but apply the foil before that final dome, I can't see why it wouldn't work 😊 Let me know how it goes please 🥰🥰
@@daniel..cooper trying something a little riskier 😳 coasters and pop socket discs but I think maybe I needed to let the resin warm a bit longer before acetone- but I’ll make it work!
Can we make same with epoxy resin
Yes, definitely😊
I NEED that light---where or what name is it?!?
I want to make a larger piece shaped like the half moon shape ..how can I make that shape larger?
For future reference, turquoise has more blue in it than it does green… it could be my monitor, but I don’t think so… these turned out really pretty though :) I love your experimenting…
Thanks, was a test run 😊 I did mention the colors may be slightly off 😊
@@daniel..cooper yep, that you did… I was just helping you out with the color mixing… my hubby is an artist and he has taught me the colour wheel… he gets on me when I don’t get my colors mixed right lol… turquoise is one of my favorites and I can spot the differences in them pretty easily ….
😲
Beautiful as always, for the “dotting” you could use a toothbrush 🪥 xx
Thank you 😊 I used a paintbrush in one attempt and worked great 😊😊
