  • After more than 12 years of service as executive director of the Cuyahoga County Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, Tim Daley is retiring from his position and passing on the torch that he has dutifully carried since 2008. We from the monument hope you will join us in wishing him well in his future endeavors.
Tim wrote, "A leader is only successful if those whom he leads support such a vision as well. All that we have been able to accomplish is a direct result of our faithful staff and dedicated volunteers."
In light of this, Tim would like to express his gratitude to the following organizations and individuals:

"And countless others who have assisted us throughout my tenure as Executive Director.
This small expression of gratitude for your support of the Monument and its mission, in my opinion, fails to truly express the high esteem that I hold for each of them and you."
"In closing, I thank you, and our Community, for allowing me the opportunity to serve as the steward of this wonderful Victorian Jewel which stands in the heart of Cleveland. I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life."

Congratulations Tim on your retirement! I had the privilege of meeting you several times at the Cuyahoga County Archives when I worked there in The Protective Services Department. Again, best wishes and blessing on your retirement!
