Emmy: trying to figure out the food sheâs about to eat
Google translate: *ass*
Mags Honey it was more like *ASS*
You had me dead hahahaha
This was pretty funny
Canned ass
Thats what im saying. Saw it like 5 times
I love how you never call food âgrossâ or say âewwâ, very positive attitude â„ïž
amoor Sheâs wonderful!!
ahh, yes. evil wives cabbage soup; my favorite.
yes. Those evil wives can really cook! LOL. It's like that restaurant where the staff verbally abuses all the customers
đ€Łđđ€Łđđ€Łđ
This is funnyđđ
Iâm laughing so hard every time you camera-translate something and it says stuff like âevilâ đ
also: the sound played when it translated to âassâ made me choke on my tea.
Also the "Army Newspaper, Fly" lmao!
I had to replay it again to confirm it said ass and it did đ and in huge letters too
Google translate is useless lmao!
@@karmicvibez6377 i dont think it was google transslate pft
@@jakeyohomieboo1661 it was google translate. At 0:59 she says it is.
Technically the bottom section of the ration should be eaten first and then you work your way up to the carrying handle as the day goes on, that way you still get to use the handle.
BTemple that makes so much sense once itâs pointed out lol!
Code Name A few tricks of the trade you pick up reviewing rations... Hahaha
I've got my own channel where I do my own ration reviews.
BTemple subscribed ! đ
Francheska White Thanks a lot! Always happy to have more subscribers!
BTemple đ youâre welcome
You are the only person whose eating noises don't bother me. Also very soothing voice. I enjoy your video's they make me calm.
Me too
Me also
Gross to me, wish that part was left out.
@@MovieJustin Seriously? What do you expect on an eating video?!
@@OhCrumbs96 I like what I like, most food bloggers dont include that audio.
I think the reason you got "newspapers" was because the translator was confusing "galeta" (biscuit) with "gazeta".
Wtf is audible doing? THEY NEED TO HIRE YOUUUUU! Youâre voice is so soothing wtf
I didnt think of this but true
Yas!!!
Not gonna lie, I'd pay good money to hear Emmy read a book. She truly has a smooth voice
Right! when my pain spikes I love watching her videos makes me feel so calm.
Emmy I love you đ
In a non creepy way of course lol
@@Kevinthewoman been saying the same thing. i would love for her to make an audio book. even one where she's just reading her grocery list.
MRE'S are among my favorite videos from you. And your voice and the way you describe food is so soooo soothing
Claudia VĂ©lez theyâre my favorite too!
đ
Probably because she's a mom. proffessional soothers they are.
Her voice would be perfect for ASMR videos đđœ
You should also check out Nail. Career. Education. Suzie has a very soothing voice, and it's so relaxing, watching her gently craft little acrylic nails.
Every time she says âbeautiful loveliesâ, I feel like Iâm suddenly in a warm blanket next to a fire
You made a big mistake by heating vegetable kavjar - its delicious as cold food. Basically most of tint products needn't to be heated in post-USSR countries

Twin Towers return anon lmaooo
Twin Towers return anon I'm sorry you're an idiot
shyngys808 thx
"Lobster porridge" - that was funny. It was pearl barley, it's widely spread in countries of former soviet union. It's cheap and common to cook porridge with beef or pork as a main course. (sorry for my english)
Avicenna Nostrodamus your English is perfectly understandable and as a almost native speaker ( speaking American English since age 4) you use better grammar than some native speakers!
Why do you guys always say your English is bad? Do you just really crave the compliments? Your English is great.
Thanks for the info!
Avicenna, I wonder why it seemed to say it was made of lobster? Do you know what kind of meat was used? So interesting! Thanks for the information.
It's actually because the name of pearl barley in Russian is "perlovka" and I'm guessing the translation app interpreted the last half of the word ("lovka") as "lobster". The translation app as a whole did a really bad job identifying and translating the words :P Edit: just looked back at the video and it specifically says "kasha perlovaya" (pearl barley porridge), so the "lovaya" bit misled the translation app.
Your almost 1 million emmy congratulations đ thx for the hard work
Thank you. đ

Isn't ŃŃŃŃĐœĐșĐ° stewed meat?
Isn't vegetable caviar an oxymoron?
For the people who can't read cyrilic script, "tusenka".

I'm from Kazakhstan and whenever I tell people that, they always say a borat quote in response. I don't have a problem with it because I think borat is a great movie. But for people that can quote borat like the Bible, they can't point Kazakhstan on a map to save their lives

What about the biscuits? Those look much better than saltines.
As you probably know Emmy, soldiers love mixing up and inventing new ways to eat MREs (and other rations) so your Apple Cider experiment is right in line with that tradition.
Robert Courtemanche so true, once you've lived off of alternating cans of ravioli in tomato sauce or meat and potato soup for three weeks straight due to lazy logistics clerks... one has no choise but to go creative or go ballistic XD
jam tea is a russian tradition
Next time you heat cans in water, slightly crack them before you heat them to prevent the metallic taste in the food. Itâs a safer way to do it. Heating up completely sealed cans can cause bacteriaâs and also destroy the flavor Of the food. It takes a little bit longer but it is safer and tastier.
Emmy, what I think you should consider doing is taking good quality pictures of the package and adding them in the end of the video, for about 3 seconds per photo. This way someone can translate it for you. I would be happy to do so for this ration if I could actually see and read the text, because as it is in the video it`s very blury.
Love your channel!
I love how watching your videos, I always leave with more knowledge than I had before. I always learn something new from your videos and I love it. I love learning about new foods or countries and their customs, where they're located. So when you say " I hope you learned something " Emmy, I did. You teach me so many things that I would have otherwise not known. Also, I love the endings of your videos, that's one part that I really look forward to and always enjoy cuz you're so silly and you always cheer me up, make me laugh and put a smile on my face. Again, congratulations on finally hitting ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBERS!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you!
it says 1mil Congrats Emmy :)
So with those "vegetable caviars" - when my Russian friend makes them they're served cold over bread. So heating it up might have been the wrong move in terms of texture. Cool video though!
Yep. It's cold appetizer. Can be used as a sauce also.

I loved the intrigue of this video - Understanding much less of the language than normal made it so fun and mysterious!
Lots of fun. You should check out my Russian ration video czcams.com/video/0lJyHuTVMNY/video.html where I winged it (no translator) it's hilarious.
I watched it when you posted it, but heck, I'm watching it again. I could always use more Emmy! :D
i like the goofy translator app thing, makes me wonder if someday they'll be reliable
It works pretty good for other languages that use the same alphabet that we're used to. French, English, Italian, Spanish, etc. They each have their own unique characters, but the base alphabet and method of constructing words from phonemes is similar, so they're easier to translate. Once you get into cyrllic or ideagram languages like Mandarin and Japanese, you're basically cast adrift by translation systems.
"Evil wives' cabbage soup". Yummy.
lol!
Soo It is spicy in a 10x strength?
You are great at describing the flavor/taste of the food. Iâve always been so jealous of people who can write and use words so well that you can immerse yourself into their story. Amazing! Love you Emmy! God bless!
No utensils or sundries??? That's odd, they usually come with that. But Emmy, I love the way you describe what you eat. You describe it so well, I feel like I've tasted it. You do a better job than most food critics or people who taste and describe food for a living. But you are absolutely amazing at describing what you eat that again, I feel like I know exactly how it tastes. Great job as usual Emmy.
Angel Albano Totally. She's always been better than most people on Food Network, even in her early days on CZcams.
Completely agree!
Love what you're doing i'm subscribe to your channel for so long and i still love every video. Continu what you're doing !! Love from france đđ
These have to be my favorite videos of Emmy's.
mine too :)
Congratulations on reaching 1 MILLION!!!!đđđđ
I'm sure you know this already, but be very careful heating sealed cans. They can explode with only a little too much temperature.
Thx for the heads-up
Google translate app was amusingly useless. It would be much easier to directly type the words into the app, though it wouldn't be nearly as funny.
Also, "kasha" (ĐșĐ°ŃĐ°), means any porridge, not specifically the rice one. The first can was labeled "ŃĐžŃĐŸĐČĐ°Ń [rice] ĐșĐ°ŃĐ°", and the second one was "пДŃĐ»ĐŸĐČĐ°Ń [pearl barley] ĐșĐ°ŃĐ°".
Also, the other dinner can contained just canned beef, not soup. So it kinda explains why the liquid was so salty.
She would need a Cyrillic keyboard to type in the words.
You can switch the smartphone's virtual keyboard to any language.
When you find out your daughters nickname means porridge in another language... Hmm.. Lol.
I'm so happy you hooked up with the MRE tasting community, Emmy! They are a great bunch of guys. Blackdog Bob is a solid winner.

Congrats on the 1 million!!
Well deserved. All of the hard work is paying off!! Thanks for always bringing quality videos!!
I just discovered your channel, and i'm so happy I did. I love how you describe how things tasta in ways that I can actually imagine and your voice and demeanor is so calming and cheerful. Keep up the great work.
This dinner stew was rather not a stew at all:) i guess it was just a type of canned meat which you should eat cold, just cut it and place it on the slice of bread. It contains meat and some kind of natural jelly and it's delicious. Here you melted this jelly and it created some sort of "soup" :)
It was a stew actually but quality was pretty bad, stew not supposed to have so much fat. Every post-USSR country has a stew in their MRE :)
It was canned stewed beef, but you can hardly call it a stew. It consists of beef itself, fat (also beef), onion, salt, black pepper and bay leaf. According to standards, total fat content must not exceed 17%.
You can eat it cold, but I assume eating it heated is much better.
D1splaced i was sure it's something we have in Poland:) we make meat in the natural gelatine and we eat it cold:) based on your comments i know i was wrong:)
Well, there is some gelatine derived from the sinews, but the exact amount can vary. In Poland it's called tuszonka, so if you are talking about it, you are not wrong.
D1splaced i didn't know that particular name, but it tends to vary depending on the region:) i checked and it's exactly what i meant:)
999k so close to 1M!!!!! Iâm so excited!!!haha donât know why
