  • Hi all and welcome back - today is a BIG day! When we took the heater core housing apart and discovered all of the foam was COMPLETELY decayed and needed to be replaced. Today, we're finally putting the heater core housing back together so when we turn the cool A/C on in the summer it'll come through smelling FRESH and clean.
There was A LOT of foam inside this thing when we took it apart, so there's A LOT we need to measure, cut, and apply before we can put it all back together. But don't worry - by the end of this episode, the heater core housing is going to be ready for install and we will be one step closer to taking Mama back out for a test drive!

Good to see Future Zak back, I missed him. Mama Miata will be better than new when you get done with her.

That's the plan! I'm excited to see just how good of a driving experience we can squeak out of a 30 year old driver's car

It feels like the audio is dipping in and out, but the song slaps! Glad things are starting to come together

I couldn't tell if that was just me or if it was actually happening. It seems like some of the songs I've been using recently have that effect. I'll see what I can do about it!

I can confirm, there is NO more old car smell! As satisfying as it is to watch, I promise it's just as satisfying to do!

Nobody ever says "ahh that old car smell" do they? Looks like things are shaping up!

Someone contact product development at Little Trees, we need an "Old Car Smell" flavor now!

So uh, what do you do with all the excess foam?

I'll use it on future projects! This likely won't be the last car I take apart and these types of foam can be super useful when you need to create a soft seal around something to reduce vibration or possibly moisture
