The best place during the Wild West was Tahiti. Legend tells that some ruthless outlaws moved to Tahiti and became successful Mango farmers. Just don't bring a Rat may ruin the harvest.

In the next five or ten years, I will actually be moving to the wild west and farming. Probably an hour outside El paso or so, or near Deming New Mexico. The water table is low enough there that tapping a well will be cheap and easy. And land out that way is still affordable. Not like where I am now
