What is it about breaking down in South Dakota?? My Jeep Liberty died a clicky death on the side of the road while I was on my way to a new job in Montana. On a Saturday afternoon. So no one was open.
And full shade, with or without horses, AAA is crappy. But the good people of South Dakota constantly offered help. And a nice young couple even let me stay at their home while I waited for a tow truck.
South Dakota is a great state, beautiful and full of good people!!
As someone who is in a desperate search for a new truck, I sure wish I could go out on a whim and swing a $50,000 check! Someday though

Burned the motor up that sucks bad, before going on road always double check ur oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid literally everything
Stop buying new trucks!! Their all Junk!
5 - 10 or older with a new rebuilt motor with No Def and pollution control horseshit on it and a heavy duty Transmission by the right people will fix this problem!

Are there people you can get this type information from, so you can make an emergency call??….ask friends and fellow horse people so you can have a reliable source and their numbers as well!….keep a small booklet in you glove box for future use and don’t have a coronary….!!👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️

Omg I’m laughing because I can fully empathise with you I’ve been stuck on the highway in the middle of nowhere (Australia) with a fully loaded horse trailer. We hit a very large kangaroo (over 6foot) in the Pilliga state Forrest (deliverance country) at 4.30 in the morning, the car was written off. We had no phone range & nobody to help🤯😵💫

I had a friend who barrel raced..to practice she put curb feelers on her barrels lol..( 20 some odd years ago) her horse hated them ..so he would cut close but still just far enough away lol i tried it once on her " cruiser" i fell off lol..but..he finished without me..i love watching ..but i was more a pleasure trail rider..lmfao..but i had to try it once..you guys are awesome to watch
Good thing u kept ur cool!!! J need to learn that... we haul a camping trailer up the mountains and sometimes our pickup gets too hot and i totally sometimes lose my cool... can u do video on how to pull/ tow ur rig like going up hill and how u calibrate ur breaks for the trailer... because i feel women do a better job at explaining this and are more detail oriented
The radiator, intercooler, transmission cooler, and ac cooler are dirty. Clean them and the truck won't overheat. Grime and dust prevents air from going over coils in radiator and coolers which causes overheating. Probably need to do this every 100,000 miles. Transmission temperature is a good indicator of when radiator and coolers need cleaning.

We have a GMC almost 300,000 miles never touched the engine or tranny. Just say'n.... I agree the best truck at the moment is the one that's running.. Great people exist everywhere willing to lend a helping hand.

I wouldnt trust any truck brand out there now when hauling as far as you haul none of them seem to be built to last very long anymore.

So, since you have a lot of issues with trucks breaking down and not meant for the miles you drive, have you looked into what J.B. Mauney drives to haul bulls? I talked to a gal here in Nebraska and she was driving a Peterbilt to pull her horses and told me that those in Texas don't have to have CDL's to drive those types of trucks. They are made for those miles you run!

I don't any brands are any good! I feel all trucks, cars, just fall apart right around the time the loan is paid off, and that means trade it in and keep on paying!!! Lol!!
