I tell you, I'm born and raised in South Florida, and love to play off road with the 4x4's, but to see them in action in the snow and ice water... got me beat, if I got stuck there I wouldn't be walking waist deep in the water for sure! Great vid, thanks for the time and effort!
I don't care where it is or who drives it... this looks like a blast of fun.
I had the opportunity to ride in one of these trucks when I was in Iceland about ten years ago.
It's incredible the amount of engineering that goes into these rigs.
The owner explained how it was built. Even describing how they had to move the front axle forward so the massive tires wouldn't catch on the back of the fender wells.
They really are set up more for glacier work though.
The vibration through the cabin at speed on paved roads was a little disconcerting, due to the fact those huge tires can be difficult to balance.
Sweet, down here in Texas, people only lift their trucks to make them look "better" nice to see a real truck in use.
IDk where you are from in texas, but we actually have the lift for a purpose...may wanna look into that more.
Here in America, having a truck that size is called "normal." Hell, we all ride around in our pickups with the big American flags on the back with our shotguns in our laps and eating mcdonalds while our bald eagles fly in formation overhead
***** Sorry to hear that. Come on over to Murica where life is good and the food is big
Ghost He's joking, but I have a GMC on 35s
35's are great, but we're talking 54's

the look of that truck is perfect the lift and tire combination is just perfect has that menacing look
Iceland does some of the coolest 4x4 mods. TopGear going to the North Pole, that Hilux was awesome. impressive to see what you've done with an American truck.
Awesome Vid ! Spent a year in Iceland in the Early 90s while serving in the Military. Saw some Monster Glacier rigs back then. These guys know how to build Big Badass Durable Trucks!
didn't think pick up trucks existed in Europe, this is nice to see.
That's an odd thing to think :p
Not like the rest of the world has no uses for a pickup truck, we move stuff around too, you know :D
many ford f series dodge and chevy to.
in EU? not even one
There’s a lot, Arctic trucks were made in Iceland first.
This is exactly what we need up here in ND!
I have always loved the Tundra blasters. Iceland hats off - from drag racing straight up rock cliffs to powering through giant drifts in white outs! uh......except one thing, no trees. We have volcanos here too, it's just that they've progressed a few more eons. Love the footage!.
That F-350 looks so sweet! The whole video is cool. Love the snowy landscape!
that f350 is am absolute monster. love it.
That's just a suburban grocery getter in America ;-)
Nobody has tires that wide in the us
Wow, for once a legit BADASS Ford. Definitely capable. I was not expecting a Ford with 54's to be put together that well. Rugged axles, gearing, and some decent flex. Hmmm, compliments to the builder!
It even looks as if it's a Lariat! Totally awesome. Hope to make it to Iceland some day.
Ford 350 with 54 are daily drivers in the US.
gary s Especially here in Ga.
no americans lift their trucks up and do nothing else
Grétar Örn Grétarsson || be quiet fool. You have no knowledge of what goes on here in the U.S apparently...
gary s the tires are custom made here in iceland we dont lift our truck so they can pool cool it is a necessity of you but american truck with american tires they would sink and get stuk
Daily drivers...maybe but rather for enlargement of certain other things then for real offroad use and I don‘t mean driving through a mud pit
we will probably take that Ford beast out for a cold walk this winter
along with his hardcore 960hp nitro brother
1000 hp willys, modified by Eyjolfur Johannsson
(has been painted black)
Subscribe to make sure you won't miss it !!!
Sorry for not answering all you questions please post again if there are any and I will try to answer most.
ps. please tell what you would like to see in my next "snow action" video
That thing is a fucking animal for sure, and the adventure looks fun as hell.
What would I like to see... technical river hazard crossing/fording (for instance entry and exits off steep and large snowbanks)!
Arro@hotmail.ca
Awesome playing field, that big Ford sure knows how to play in the snow. Would really love to play too !! Bring up more videos guys!
I would actually love a complete list of build up specifications on that F350. Very impressive!
That Ford is just badass....nice rig....
FORD
That truck will not be stopped !!! Awesome video !!!
big boys playing in the snow The coolest video you are when nobody else can go. Great job.
'MERIC....Oh, wait..
'Merica
No. This is using these cars properly.. Not buying a big ass 4x4 to support your fat ass when you get your groceries ('Merica-style)
Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know Ford wasn't an American company. Which was the purpose of my comment. Also I do the same thing with a 2000 F-250 V10, it see's snow and mud. Also off-roading isn't the purpose of Ford trucks, if you lived in America you'd know the majority of their advertisements are work based, as in hauling trailers and carrying heavy objects. The only Ford truck I've seen advertised as an off-road vehicle is the Ford Raptor. "Using properly" would assume you are using it for its intended purpose, which this is not its intended purpose. I am not saying these trucks can't handle this type of use in stock form, I speak from experience that they can. Buying groceries in a large 4x4 is not how people do things where I live. Yes we do go to the store with them, but that is not the only thing we use them for. I usually see that type of use from people who live in large cities. People come from Chicago to where I live and do this stuff. Is it "'Merica-style"? No, not by a long shot. The fact that you assume everyone in America lives in a city and is a fat-ass that needs a 4x4 to carry them around shows you know nothing. I dislike large cities because majority of people I meet from there don't understand how the world works. Much like you. I can only assume you hate Americans because of what our government does in other countries. I don't support our "intervention" in other countries affairs. But do not put me in the same category as some democrat idiot who is overweight and wants the government to take care of them.
I said properly, not that this is their soul purpose. Obviously they are capable and advertised for more then just offroading. However there's just a shitload of people who buy these big cars and use them for nothing more than daily routines such as driving to work and doing groceries.
And obviously not everyone in America, it just realy fits the 'Murica slang. So don't feel offended if you're not part of the group I was pointing out, im sure you can be a part of them.. Just eat more McD and never get out of your 4x4 again.
Honestly I get sick when I eat at McDs hahaha...
ReVerZe I don't know if you've actually been to the US, but the large trucks used where I live are used for hauling large trailers filled with horses, not something your average European van or truck can accomplish.
Have always been a fan of Ford trucks. This is a great extreme conditions driving video.
Nice to see that Iceland is 'Merica, too! Awesome truck!
best gas milage ever!!! 5 gallons for every foot it moves...
7:15 why a nissan can never hang with a powerstroke lol
Greetings from Australia, love the patrol!
Proud ford owner!!! even in Europe ford gets recognized. You guys are crazy nice video
Must have some seriously low gearing.
+RcFrenzy Jup, some people tend to drop a second low range box in them. Then just second gear, and let it crawl. Adds up to around half a walking pace.
That truck is small lol I've seen bigger but i do live in the southern U.S.
Those tires make that thing look like it has a short bed. Love it!
liking that f 350, awesome.
this truck looks mild compared to US trucks lol
The only difference is that they are alredy using for real this truck
I just farted!
By far best video on CZcams!
THAT LOOKS LIKE SO MUCH FUN!
Should re name your title, I thought you took a shitty Ford and fit a Chevy 350 in it....
Or, you know. leave it how it is because it's an F350....the kind that are all over this country so you should know better.
So i can get a ton of #recalls no thanks jack ass
Really? Go put your helmet back on before you hurt yourself.
Why don't you see Junk GM shit up there? Stay in your apartment dumbfuck.
doubt a 350 would have the torque, dumbass.
Henry Ford (founder of Ford Automobiles) and Adolf Hitler admired each other's achievements. Adolf Hitler kept a life-size portrait of Ford next to his desk. "I regard Henry Ford as my inspiration," In July 1938, four months after the German annexation of Austria, Ford was awarded the Grand Cross of the German Eagle, the highest medal awarded by Nazi Germany to foreigners.
Ford disliked the administration of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and did not approve of U.S. involvement in the war.
This is why i hate Ford
and what does that have to do with Ford today? Is the ceo of Ford admired my Hitler?
you must be an idiot deejaysanji
Deejaysanji 1992 What a load of shit.

Looks like a ton of fun!
That looks like a whole lot of fun.
The music is hilarious:) like they were bored driving in traffic at rush hour or something like that
The amazing warm voice of Cesária Évora at 5:42 in the middle of all that snow... quite a contrast. Greetings fra Sørlandet, Norge. :-)
This looks like a lot of fun! A lot like mud bogging but your truck and clothes are clean when you get home :-) It would suck to do repairs in -15C weather though.
Snow trucks look so utilitarian and awesome.
That is frikken awsome
badass. portal axles and everything

This looks like lots of fun...Ohio winters are nothing like this...I would give anything to be able to travel that frontier in a formidable vehicle like those Fords...
That was awesome!

Such an awesome truck. Would love to take any of the rigs in this video out in the snow/ mud.

Iceland sounds cold! But would be a very cool prize indeed
Awesome video!
I love that Truck!
That is the best display of balls of steel (the drivers and their crew) all the trucks are built extremely well, the ford just has the advantage with the taller tires and the twin turbo setup! Would love to be in a place like that someday
Love this travel !! ps. nice soundtrack in car :P
That's a sweet ride
Looks like lots of fun
