I hope that this controller will allow the upcoming Pro to attain a sub 3 second 0-20mph time. In NY this would be incredible to get you out of tight spots and flow with traffic better.

Great video! Didn’t know there were this many improvements over the previous controller.
Quick question: is this a sine wave controller?

Love these videos! Keep them comming. Put my first 70 km on my apollo explore and am having more fun then I thought I would. Acceleration and ability to handle hills is impressive. I hope it holds up for another 4000km lol. If so... phantom v5 here I come!

Now I've gone about 84 km and my kickstand is already broken. One of the two screws came undone and will not thread back in. Not sure what to do. Something seemingly small however I thought the kickstand was great and now I don't have one and a repair does not seem possible. Enough for me to most likely not go apollo next time. There are too many other brands out there to try. Thumbs down on the kickstand of the apollo explore. I'm actually sad.

Oh yeah forgot to mention that now there is a hole for water to get inside the battery housing. I'm actually so disappointed now. Garbage.

Powder coated is always better and can resist to scratches. So doest it mean that the Phantom V3 60 volts will have the Mach 2 controller? And yes controller is the most important, I burn more than few ESC of my RC cars due to overheating. I love XT90 connector, very easy to unplug and plug in plus it looks cleaner. Excellent very informative.

i wonder could i download vesc system and modify the mach1 more? cuz as i see 52v could give insane power if you built it right but still 72v on phantom is kinda risky hitting 100kmh cuz no steering damper and 10inch tires and some weak points here and there

Looking at the features that have been added I have to ask if this is also a VESC based controller? It would make sense as developing new firmware from the ground up makes zero sense when you can simply add the features you need to VESC. Just asking as I am curious to know :)

I wanted the Phantom to be my next scooter, but after reading many comments regarding overheating and poor quality parts, I'm looking at other options. Overheating is just unacceptable for me. My current scooter has cheap Chinese 2x25A controllers and I can ride uphill on rough terrain for several hours without any problems.

Any news on when there will be an upgrade kit for the Apollo Phantom V2 60v?

    • @ApolloScooters
      @ApolloScooters  Před rokem +5

      Hi Danny,
Our 60V customers have long been our most loyal and passionate followers. Its exactly for this reason we actually kicked off the development of the V3 upgrade kit for the 52V and 60V in parallel.
The process of developing the 52V upgrade kit was incredibly challenging, seeing as we're the only ones capable of offering regen braking in a high-performance scooter. Needless to say, the 60V runs even hotter, meaning even greater risk of overheating. For this reason, we are testing it for longer.
There are currently a number of testers actively riding with a 60V Phantom Upgrade kit and we are monitoring their performance. At this time we are not able to commit to a release date, but the product is in the testing phase as we speak.

You call the speed controller the Esc? Like the esc key? I should feel glad you didn’t call it “end”

I wonder why he never mentions whether this controller is a sine wave, or square wave controller? Why omit this simple distinction?

I thought so too but it's still square wave. It's just programmed properly so it behaves like a sine-wave.

What about the 60volt controller? Wasn't alot of this scooter marketing enable the user to upgrade across the generations. I wish i never brought an apollo. useless bot responses to emails pointless. DONT BUY AN APPOLLO SCOOTER.
