Junny is so smart. I love hearing his story. It is crazy how he ended up where he is. Soundcloud etc. Look where he is now. Life is crazy. Making his dreams come true. Leaving home. His family! Taking his chances. He did it. Made his dreams come true. He can relate to so many artists who did the same thing. They all did that. Warriors! Music! Kpop! New beginnings! New life.

as someone in their mid-twenties and has no idea what the fuck she's doing, this episode was super comforting especially when matt talked about being a trainee at 25 and having a hard time before that. i can relate. thank you as always for your honesty and for keeping it real guys, best podcast i've ever listened to ❤️

I feel y’all, the same age as Peniel. My parents (also Asian immigrants), when my Dad was 25 he already had 5 kids. I’m 27 and literally cannot comprehend why he did that haha.
My parents had 4 kids and were home owners at 30/31 (as immigrants in germany without higher education). I'm a 28 year old biologist still living with my mom...like how the f did they manage that...

As Korean-Americans, I do wonder if y’all feel weird when/if addressing each other (especially among the Korean-Americans/British/Australian crew) in the Korean social etiquettes? Like if BM and Peniel did just start addressing Ashley as noona haha.

Don't worry about leaving your 20's I'm 36 and still feel like I'm 23 at times. Time moves so fast you just have to go with the flow and whats happening. I've settled enough to feel like and 'adult' (stable job and a mortgage) but also still feel free enough as in my 20's to still be open to things that come my way.

That's a whole different thing. Learn who you are and be comfortable with you wanna be. Being lonely, sad, and happy is part of life.

39:47 vulnerability for the sake of friendship is one of the most important parts of adulthood. most people experience reservation with this, so you're definitely not alone here, but it is something you'll have to reckon with eventually, if you hope to be well-adjusted socially. so there are three things to think about:
1) not everyone is a social butterfly, and not everyone will be a completely open book all the time, so you don't need to be either. don't pressure yourself to be more open than you're initially willing to be. the last thing you want to do is stunt your confidence by overexposing yourself. you don't have to break down your own door and let the whole town in. however,
2) as ashley stated in a QnA with joan a couple years ago (the one where they get distracted by the natural lighting outside, and couldn't tell if it was rain or pollution lol) strength of friendship is often dependent on opening yourself to others. as long as you're aware of that, which you seem to be, then your head is in the right place, and you have the foundation to do what's necessary. so my advice to you is,
3) take it at your own pace. open up when you're ready; little by little if you need to. cast the fishing line out a bit and see what bites. if you're not comfortable with that, reel it back in a bit. see what works for you, and eventually you'll know what your limits are. with a little trial and error, you'll be able to throttle yourself up or down such that your comfort level will be compatible with the needs of those around you.
JUNNY 🖤 I really hope that more people will know JUNNY not only for the songs that have written to some idol groups but for the beautiful music he makes and the beautiful albums he has released

Some songs that JUNNY produced/co-produced/wrote/co-wrote: Kai's Mmmh, NCT U's From Home, The Boyz's Whiplash, Suho's Made in You,
despite developmentally many will find themselves facing so many forms of *perceived* crisis, rather than calling it " quarter life *crisis* ", I hope more people use the term "emerging adulthood", which hopefully would give us much more neutral approach towards our 20s.
I just hope more of us in 20s would find relief in the facts that this is indeed a stage where you will be:
- *self-focused* (yeah you're not selfish for wanting to focus on self-improvement in many aspects of life)
- *facing more opportunities* (generally compared any stage in life span), which also means more uncertainties
I'm also Canadian and it depends on where in Canada you go! I find it's half with people who say "baag" and "baeg" and "sawry" and "sorey"! I'm so proud Junny!

I've seen Peniel since he debuted in BTOB and it just struck me (again) that we're actually of the same age lmao. Hearing from him, Matthew and Ashley with their thoughts on being in their twenties... man, i thought i was the only one having it hard, especially on the settling down part. my parents relatives will ask me most of the time when will i ever settle down to get married and have kids then here's me being a twenty-seven-year-old still struggling for my career to go somewhere. This is such a comforting talk to hear. Thank you to Junny as well for sharing his two cents
