I'm lucky to know a navy pilot that flew a single seat Ad 4 skyraider off of the Uss Intrepid during the Korean War. Great stories great man and one tuff plane! I love the stories of the men that served and like these awesome planes we need to record and preserve the history for future generations to appreciate.

THanks Paddy! This has a lovely engine note doesn't it. Almost like a modern Spitfire :)

NOTE: At 9:15, a passenger, like Army PVT Clint Eastwood was hoping to be, exited the side door...no life raft was necessary.

This one is based at LFFQ, and belongs to the Amicale Jean Baptiste Salis. Been up close to it, what a beaut

They shot down a few Migs during Vietnam with those flying tanks.

You are talking about the Big Beauitful Doll that crashed in Duxford right ? ;)

It wasn't so bad as everyone walked away. I'm amazed at the Skyraider recovery after the crash considering how much wing he lost! He must have been a little tense. I think I read somewhere the Big Beautiful Doll is being rebuilt as well. (I was amazed there was no post crash fire!) Is this the same Skyraider that was involved? Just wondering because the inside rib of the outer right wing panel looks brand new compared to the left.

Could be. I also noticed that, on the video of the Mustang and Skyraider collision, there was the no. 205 in its nose at the end. Similar to this one.

The song 'Clocks set' sounds alot like the song 'Plush' by Stone temple pilots.
