- Becoming a Machine Learning Engineer from a software developer is now becoming one of the most common pathways we see. Usually, machine learning engineers are usually people who have previously worked in statistical fields as well as researchers. Now, however, due to the wide-scale use of machine learning, we see a wave of software developers joining as well.
In this 7-minute video, I simply the process into 3 basic steps: Understanding your strengths as a software developer, How to build your weaknesses as well as what are the best ways to shift into a machine learning career.

Thank you so much this was very helpful!
Good explanation. I am Machine learning enthusiast , got some important information.
Thank you
As a data scientist, I approve this content. Subbed 👍🏾
great as always
Another excellent video!
I transitioned from software dev to ML by getting a masters in AI and a PhD in ML. The transition is fairly straightforward given my coding background, so all I needed was general ML knowledge.
That's awesome!
How long of a process was that?

Hello, hope you are doing well. My questions is that, what if I don't pursue software engineering and jump directly into bachelors in CS or bachelors in AI. Is that feasible?
@@tahabashir9405 Generally your employer would prefer if you have at least one relevant degree. For instance, if you have an irrelevant bachelor but a masters in CS, AI, stats, or math etc, you should be fine in terms of education background, albeit it may be difficult to transition from a completely different field. Many of my masters friends did not have a CS bachelor, and a ML research fellow (PhD) who shared an office with me for years came from engineering. I personally also studied biology at university of Toronto before getting another bachelor in CS, so it’s not a matter of your origin, but the path you took to get to AI, and everyone has a different path. Keep in mind education is only the bare minimum - you still need to show proficient skills at the interview to get a job.
Subbed, didn't find software engineering to be satisfying, so currently in the processing of shifting my career towards ML, so your channel is very helpful, thnx.
how is it going, what are the challenges you faced?
hi, need your suggestion -> do you think learning data structures and algorithms are important to learn machine learning
Can you please make a video on "how to make use of any tech documentation while working on a project?" How do you personally approach that in real life? Thank you! I believe it's not something that's much talked about as it comes with practice but might be helpful to a lot of beginners
Thanks for this video , I am currently on that transition 😊
Don't waste your time, just skip to the description section to find the roadmap link.
4:51 see for yourself.
which tech job role can easily transist to MLE other than software engineer
Please continue your 100 days of ml playlist pleaseeeeee
Currently shifting into ML
why you stopped your 100-day machine learning playlist, ma'am?
Thank you so much. You are beautiful both inside and outside.
Your videos inspire me a lot.
Please reply of my questions,
1. Can I pursue master's and phd in AI (machine learning) with a bachelor's in software engineering?
2. Which bachelor degree will be better between CSE & SE?
Hi Raihan! Thanks for you comment. Yes you can absolutely pursue a masters and PhD in Machine Learning even if you have a bachelor's in software. It also depends heavily on which university you are applying to and which researcher you are picking as your supervisor. As for CSE & SE, in the big picture those are quite similar so it doesn't matter which you end up picking.
Thanks a lot.
please continue 100 days in ML naaa

I suck at math can I learn ML? is it right for people with very low math IQ?
You don't suck at math you only need to learn in in the right way
nope...you will never be able to outsmart people who are good at it...hence , competitively speaking , you'll be an average machine learning engineer , but if you're fine with that then well and good.
Mom i am from India now Great learning is collaborated with University of Arizona provide MS in michine learning 1 yr online 1 yr in University is it worth it and this job is very difficult 😂 i am heard some of the persons .

This vid didn't even answer what we should be learning and what really is the road map.
great as always
