  • I'm constantly on the hunt for the best office pen and I've found another contender, the Schneider One Business ( amzn.to/2G3sXby ). This is a German office pen, first released in 2015 that is notable for its smooth ink, cool design, and quick drying which makes it friendly for lefthanded people. It's available in an interesting, and somewhat odd, 0.6mm size but writes like a generous 0.7mm.
This is a good alternative to the Pilot G2 or Uniball 207/307, or Uniball Air.
This is not a common pen in the United States, but seems to be readily available in Europe.

Glad that you mentioned its quickly drying ink which makes it friendly for lefthanded users. And yes, its rear is semi-transparent in some spots, so you can see both the moments when the tank is [almost] full and when it's [almost] empty. Everything else is kind of in between these two states. ;D
And the tank is quite big, which is great IMO.

This pen complies to the ISO 14145-2:1998 standard and is recommended for writing on important documents. I use it for signatures.

This is one of my favourite pens, it's one of the only pens of its kind that I can write with, mainly because of its fast-drying ink (I'm left-handed btw). I would definitely recommend it to anyone who writes.

00:59 - The writing tip easily slides out with the feeding rod and the disks on it. You can pull it out with your fingers and put it back again.

Schneider rate their points by the approximate line width which they mark on the paper rather than the diameter of the tip. My understanding is that the actual tip size is about x2 the line width. For example their gelion 39 0.4mm gel refill writes like a tip size 0.8mm roller gel.

Thank you for the review. An additional information: this pen is a kind of successor of the "Schneider Xtra Document (0.6mm)". But they do not produce it anymore. I liked it more then the new one, because it felt better in the hand and you had a level indicator. But after searching several days for the old pens in blue or black, i just had to give up. And your review helped me to deceide for the new model.

I just got a set of these in today. They are the smoothest rollers I've tried and basically satisfy my desire for something glassy and fountain-like(I have actual fountains but the maintenance is not something I want to bother with). I also like the Uni Air so it's not surprising that I like this one, but I think of the Air as something more "flexy" that really wants you to play with different pressure levels. Like the Air it feathers quite a bit if the paper isn't right.

Writes well BUT IS NOT REFILLABLE. Every time the ink runs out, at least some of us add to the plastic garbage dump one more (arguably big) piece that will probably end in the ocean or a landfill !!! There are Schneider pens with ink cartridges - there, the empty cartridge is the one to go to the garbage to a landfill, except if your garbage collector can selectively collect & recycle that type of plastic. But it's much smaller. We are a big waste generating machine.
