You are like the Bob Ross of concrete. I kept waiting for you to say "That a real piece of beauty. And remember this is your world and you can do anything you want in your world. And here you can put a happy little rock anywhere you want in your world. There's nothing wrong with having a rock as a friend!"
Rocks are forever
@Christopher Ricks spot on....“ I’m having fun..”
what a cute thing to say about a rock. rocks on lol
Thanks for making my day..LoL 😂
Yep, your rocks rock, you definitely rock!! Fine work!! 👏👏👏
The REAL “BEST IN THE WEST”!!!

Ha ha. You mean just running a pump truck doesn’t make you the best? Not setting a form? Finding slope? Operating a skid? With or without a scoop or hammer? Handling a shovel? A trowel? A hammer? Snapping a string line? A compactor? Setting a block? Using a laser to find grade? Applying texture yourself? Showing DIYers how to make nice little projects? Showing and talking through the process of what’s taking place and how to achieve desired results? Taking credit from and for the guys that are actually doing the work?
Hey Dave. Better be careful. Might make a green spot in that guys yellow yard. I know, yard is a continuous project. What’s been sitting longer? The bucket of rocks or that boat?
You forgot to mention how great you are at the end instead of telling us to have a good day and see us later.
There is another local concrete mason guy in the HB area that does great work, him and his son actually do the work as well. No CZcams for them though.
Keep beatin' it until the cream comes up 😅
Bingo
Classic 😂
These little tricks of the trade and different ideas are great David. Keep them coming. 👍🏻
Sure

Learned a lot about DIY making a concrete paver. Kudos for step by step video. Expanded my knowledge as a novice.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I LOVE it so much!
your advice as you work is priceless! Years of experience coming through!
Great
Glad I could help
That is awesome. I have a collection of stones from different places I've visited that I'm going to use for this project. Interestingly, your materials are probably cheaper than the wooden frame.
You may be right
Great timing for this one, been putting off a retaining wall (using pavers interspersed with some 4x8 cedar we got a deal on) and this idea clicked - made two yesterday with no prior concrete experience and results were good, thanks! The next two will be even better as I refine my skills.
Glad I could help!
TY
A true tradesman. That was easy. Good video. I enjoyed it. Friday cheers 🍻
Thanks 👍
Love the paver vids, cheers David 👍
TY
I LOVE CONCRETE VIDEOS...I like the stepping stones with the glass pebbles better though.
Ddefinately different
Awesome job as always!!
ty
Love these videos! Learning so much about working with concrete, stones and glass. Have you ever tried embedding marbles in concrete pavers?
Marbles will work unless you lose them.
Thank you so much! Great video!

Hey David, us Aussies would say its a "bloody beauty" mate. Another style for my collection of pavers, when I start that is. Stay safe, Sherie Rodrigues from Australia 🤩
Sounds great!
Really cool! Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Definitely beautiful. If this a 2'x2'x3.5"', how many 80lbs bag from HD does it take (no boulders)?
So nice. Thanks.
YW
Really love this! Great job!
Question: Have you used this method on a vertical piece? I'm thinking about a round concrete firepit with an extended patio area. TIA.
"Keep beatin' it till the cream comes up"
Best line ever.
That has a mid century modern/Palm Springs vibe to it. Very nice
Sounds about right
TY
Love these lil diy projects. Keep em coming and ill always watch. I just told my boss to switch me to concretely crew from asphalt. I want to learn new trade. Thanks for vids. How many finish guys should i hire for a 20 by 38 patio slab. Also how much slope shud i have?
Two finishers.
1.5 % slope
Thats very nice wow😮
Thank you! Cheers!
My store won't sell edging tools with curved edge. Anything I can make myself? Love your work and effort.

Really Nice ! What kind of aggregate would you be looking for when picking up ready mix at hardware store ? I like the way those smaller stones look.
Small round stones are best 3/4" max
Nice job. As always.
$5 in concrete. $87.50 in lumber.
Sounds about right
Nice work
ty
New idea thx
Welcome 😊
Have you considered tumbling and rinsing the rocks in your small concrete mixer to clean them? Also smooths the rough corners.
Good idea
Que hermoso trabajo saludos desde Chile 👋👋👋🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
TY
I put rocks like sandstone in my pavers, as you don't slip on them like smooth concrete. Makes the paver safer. Plus looks nice!
Ty
This is awesome I want to do this to my whole patio
TY
gl
Thanks amezing
YW
Really cool.
Is there some way to do the same thing without exposing the aggregate?
Thanks
dont use concrete mix use mortar mix no stones in it
Great work! Final product looks fantastic, do you think crushed glass, maybe some old broken bottles, would look good on top of the concrete?
Yes I did one in another video
Excellent, I must find it, keep up the great work!
I love the voice over videos, but it was great to see your face while your talking. Hope you move more in that direction going forward. I’ve tackled five concrete projects since I found your channel. Don’t know why I didn’t subscribe until now!
I hope so too!
TY
That was rad
I concur
Great Video (again) - can I use colored concrete? - I have the brown river rock and was thinking of using tan colored concrete - so just add colored powder or get bag goods that is tan? Thanks
Davis colors makes some dyes for concrete
You are one bad ass dude!!
Awesome
TY
Well done, you'll find this effect in seaside towns in my part of UK where they bulk up the mix with rocks from the not so sandy beaches
Sounds like a strong mix
@@OdellCompleteConcrete Yes so popular local council placed a ban on visitors taking pebbles etc. from beach - another you can be fined up to £1,000 ($1385.95) if you bring so much as a pebble home from the beach
i knew he knew what he was doing when i heard the hermano speaking Spanish in the background.
Bingo
Great job! how much extra cement would you add to an 80 pound bag of store bought concrete?
1/4 shovel
Thank you!
What ' s în the green container that you aply at the end?
Is it posibile to make flowers from stones with hour method?
Lacquer sealer
Nice
TY
I've heard other contractors include an acid wash before doing the sealing. What is the purpose of the acid wash and is it important on a driveway? 🤔
Depends on the conditions
What is your mixture please?
Good Job bro,but what and what did you miss whith the cement?
Good question
What kinda bag mix should I use for stepping stones to do this with
Quick Crete works
What is your mixture please
Dave, about how many bags of quikcrete would it take to make one stepping stone?
One
@@OdellCompleteConcrete ok. What was the size of the form?
Can you get sealers that are non slip but which are international brands which you can get in the UK?
You can add a non slip additive to any sealer
Want to do this with my heat shaped stones
Bingo
it's pretty small, i don't think it will crack.... will it?
I think it wil be ok
What concrete mix did you use?
Pea gravel
I can see making a walk way like this
It would be a nice one
👍👍
How necessary is the sealer?
Optional
❤😊

Muy bonito pero.... desperdiciar 200 litros de agua en un pedazo de cemento.
No es mi estilo el desperdiciar agua
