I just got my comet yesterday. Gotta say I’m rather impressed for the money. I got the purple and gold one. It was a toss up between the comet and the vulp. The comet feels surprisingly similar to my BRS Alpha Beasts
Also the thing you’re talking about with the fanning is because the comet is a true neutral Balisong so when you manually spin the handle both the blade and the other handle are an even weight so it fans easier. When you try to do the infinity fan you’re trying to use the momentum of the handle to start the rotation but since it’s the same weight as the blade there’s a constant counterbalance so it won’t fan easy. The Vulp can do an inifinity fan because is has a handle bias so the handles have leverage over the blade.
@@cantflipforship thanks man, glad you like my content, means alot from you, I love your content. And holy shit that makes so much sense 😂 I was kinda started it to figured it out yesterday but didn’t quite get there, that makes so much sense now.
Yo, I’ve actually watched you’re video comparing them. Great video! And the comet is a ton of fun, slightly heavier and more neutral than a vulp, great for the price.
@@alecgross12 did you get the v1 vulp? I’ve heard a lot of people having those issues with the early models but I got mine in early December after they adjusted those issues and it’s been amazing holding the tune and durability. I’ve only had to lock tight 1 of the screws because I messed with it a little bit. And id totally make a video on it if it’s not a later model, I feel like the more feedback the better.
I don’t own any of them, but because you can infinitely fan with the vulp, and not as well with the comet, I’m going to guess that the comet is more neutral (in terms of balance) than the vulp, and so whether you buy one or the other, it’ll come down to your own personal preference
For a first I would recommend the vulp, it’s more affordable and more traditional and an absolute tank, I’ve dropped mine so hard on the concrete and it’s holding up amazingly. It’s also a little lighter. The comet is a lot of fun but i think the vulp is better for learning on.
I only have a medium-thicker lube rn and it just slows it down a little more. I think it’s something with the way it’s balanced or maybe just something I’m doing wrong in my technique ??? It fans amazingly, only during infinite fans
@@SaikoFlips yeah i think mine is thicker oil too cuz it slowed my squiddy down a bit, but i just bought a comet so i’ll try some things when it gets here. Then i’ll tell you what i did and i hope it will help.
Why do so many of balisong flippers drop on concrete? There's always grass or carpet. I drop my balisongs all the time, but never do anything besides simple openings if dropping on a hard surface is an issue. Wondering if some people like the battle scares from dropping their balisongs on concrete. I've been collecting folders for a long time and it's just in my collector's mentality to keep my knives as new looking as possible.
I have my Vulp specifically as my beater. I flip my Balis everywhere I go so flipping over concrete is inevitable. I only flip my comet over grass or carpet so it’s still clean. I just enjoy flipping when going on a walk or just going to my apartment mailbox or just wherever I’m going. It’s not intentional 😂
I’d definitely recommend the Nablus vulp. That’s my first good balisong and is still currently my favorite. If you want something a little cheaper the Nabalis lightning also looks like a great budget option
Blade biased watched too much will hirsch flips 🤷♂️ I honestly just enjoy this format, I am planning on making more well produced stuff in the future. This is just fun for me.
Sorry my response is so late but as the other comment says I think the vulp is great for beginners, a good price point for an amazing knife, it’s also the one I started with. I’ve also not tried one myself but have hear the Nabalis lighting is very good and is even more affordable
So sick. These are the first 2 knives I’ve gotten and it grew my obsessed with Balisongs even more because they made me realize how big the differences between knife style and balance can be.
Check out my other videos, the apartment looks much better in them 😂. In this one me and my wife had just moved in so we were still finding places for everything and moving stuff around.
really love the vulp, ive had it for a few months now, its pretty durable if you dont beat it up
I’m also obsessed with the Squiddy!
PLEASE REVIEW THE NABALIS LIGHTNING!!! Best Bali for $45 imo!
I don’t have any money to throw at balis right now. Trying to save up for a kraken rn. I would love to try out a lightning though.

for how long do you have your second one (first prof. one)? great vid btw keep it up
I’ve had my vulp for over 2 months now. And thanks, glad you liked the video!
The link to amazon ? Ur video is very cool ^^ continue : D
Carbon honey thin is great on lighter bali. I use it in my nautilus. With the vulp I still use carbon thick but you’d like the thin.
I actually just picked up some carbon honey thick because I’ve heard so much good stuff about it and I want to get some medium or thin in the future
@@SaikoFlipsif you mix the thick and thin do you think it would equal the medium
Nice comparison. I compared vulp to falcon on my channel, but I might have to add comet to my list

Yeah. I’ve learned that the comet is SUPER neutral. That’s my issue with the infinite fan. But they’re both great and I love flipping both a lot.
As my first balisong you recommend me the marcolo comet or the nabalis vulp in my country the nabalis costs € 80 instead the marcolo € 100

Dope
You could try spraying some lube on the pivots of the comet to make it faster and help with the infinite fan.
