    OMG FINALLY, I know why I have such an issue every time I've used 40vol with the 9 level lift lightener! I thought I was going crazy, didn't seem like many people had this issue, and now I see that it's not supposed to be used at all with the 9level lift!! Thank you so much for this educational video!! I've been feeling insane for the past couple years, wondering why the 40 vol always starts leaking and dripping liquid through foils, and I auto-assumed it was OK to use the 40vol since they are both BlondME, but now finally, I see that they aren't meant to go with each other.. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the info.. I'm sure it was probably on the info packets, but I mean, come on, that would have been pretty hard to spot, especially since I never use the clay lightener. I feel so validated now. Much love!!

    Hi question, could you use the clay lightener with foils? Would you recommend using a 20 volume or 7 volume for 3-4 levels of lift?

    • @SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA
      @SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA  Před rokem +1

      Great Question. With the BlondMe Clay Lightener you can absolutely use it in a foil. I would definitely start with a lower developer like the BlondMe Premium Oil Developer 7 vol 2% or 20 vol 6%. It's great to use for hair that might already be lighter and it just needs a gentle lift. I hope that this helps! - Meg | Ask Expert with Skp @pixelate_hair

    Thanks for these explanations! I am about to try a strand test with the 9+ and the 7vol, and I just couldn’t bring myself to mix it up, because it sounds crackers! I have never heard of such lift using such a low activator! Hearing from Schwarzkopf directly is making me more comfortable to ‘trust the process’. I think it will be nice, because I work sort of slow, and this way the lift will be more controlled. I only wish your seminar discussed whether to use heat with the activation, and also going into the mixing ratios of the lightener a little more.

      Oh my golly goodness! I’m happy to report that it’s amazing -and correct. I tried it on myself, because I had a sort of flexible optinionabout the end result. I have color in my hair, and am wanting to go lighter, but I figured that if this failed, I’d just go darker. So, my roots were about 7 weeks long. I have level 6 natural hair. I was going to do a double process -mids and then roots, but the regrowth was not that crazy long, so I decided to bite the bullet and do it in one shot. I used the Schwarzkopf Spray Primer as a porosity equalizer-and I’m so happy I did. I think that really helped save the day from me ending up with a big banding throughout. Then I made sure so mix a small batch of the bleach -using the 1-1.5 ratio. I worked from back to front, and even working took me forever since I used incredibly thin sections. The application too me 20 mins for the back of my head, then I mixed up more for the front half application. That took me 30 mins to apply. After everything was on, I think I only waited about 1pm or so minutes longer, as I became nervous if I was going to cook too long. Luckily, I was able to wash everything out together, and I got pretty much an even tone from front to back. Next time I’ll let it sit even long (I won’t be so scared). But it was great! I got a really good 9.5 result! Like, my roots are banana white, and the mids are in the 9 range. It’s actually perfect for what I’m trying to do, because in the end I’m covering the blond with bright blue. My only negatives: the formula mixes a ‘lil bit thick for my liking. It was too pudding-like to grab the very root bits at the scalp in some sections (even though I thought I checked my work thouroghly). It ended up with some of those ‘black ants’ in spots. My second complaint is that it does expand. Not badly, but it does puff up some, -although, I heard that with the 7vol it shouldn’t be too much. By the way, the smell was wonderful! And the head tingle was minimal. Just a lil’ scratchy, but not a headache or burning.
      Ask me anything you wanna know! My virgin hair is thin, and about 5% greys. The other parts are wildly processed, but this lighter felt good once washed off. I’m glad I didn’t need to add olaplex for a bonder.
      I’m excited to try next time using the ‘lift and tone’ additives!

    Is there a how to use to the Igora line? Because I wanted to invest in blond me because my hair is very dark, but I'm finding complicated to use. I cannot find the 20 volume developer as easy as the 30 volume where I live, so the same rule of not using 30 volume and above is aplied to igora? And I had the misconception that, the higher the volume, lighter the hair. My hair is a 3 to 4 base (virgin hair), not too thin and not too thick but I do have a lot of hair, and whenever I bleach, I always get an egg yolk yellow color with two sessions of bleaching (I tried once going for a third time and that was one of my biggest mistakes). So this time, I wanted to invest in a more professional bleach to see if it can lift my hair beyond the egg yolk color without too much damage, but I don't know anymore.

      Hi Nanda! We have a vast range of introduction classes for the entire Schwarzkopf portfolio right here on our Schwarzkopf CZcams channel! The BlondMe bond enforcing Premium lightener 9+ is a very strong lightener and is only recommended for use by a licensed professional to avoid damage. The higher the developer, the potential for more damage to the hair if not used correctly. Our Igora Vario Plus and Igora Vario Super Plus lighteners both have bonding technology in them but achieve a more gentle lift. We always recommend toning your hair with one of our toning series after a lightening service to neutralize any yellow tones in your hair. Hope this helps! :-)

    Must the Toners only be applied after a bleach or lightener? Can they work on Gray Hair which is already naturally lightened? Or must the cuticle be opened via a lightener first for the Toner to work?

    • @SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA
      @SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA  Před 2 lety +1

      Great Question! The BlondeMe toners are meant to be used on a level 9 or lighter. So as long as the hair is a level 9 or lighter it will tone the hair. If the hair has an old toner or if your client has dulled their hair out with too much purple shampoo, I would use the BlondeMe detox first to remove any unwanted tones and/or harsh mineral buildup before toning services. :-)

      Great question! The BlondMe Blonde Enforcing Premium Lightener 9+ is the most powerful lightener in the Schwarzkopf portfolio. You will be able to achieve up to 9 levels of lift in one session when mixed and applied properly. The level of developer you choose should be based on your canvas' hair texture, level, hair history (previous color history) and desired end goal. We have seen platinum level (9/10) results on canvases starting at levels 1-3 with 7 VOL/ 2% Developer. However, each client is different due to their personal hair history and goals. Therefore, base your formulation from your consultation and each client's hair history and goal in mind. Hope this helps!

      Hi Tyron! The clay lightener was created for open air applications and not recommended for on-the-scalp applications due to the clay technology. As this product is formulated to create a dry outer shell when exposed to air, if applied on the scalp it will lock in the heat from the scalp and will have unknown variable results. Great Question. When working with extensions you should always be coloring darker and not lighter, so always best to be going darker than risk ruining the hair with lightener. With that being said the BlondMe Premium Oil Developer 7 vol 2% would be a good choice. Always maintain a visual eye on the hair since hair extensions have been treated and may take the color faster. Another line in the Schwarzkopf Brand I would recommend for extensions is the TBH line. True Beautiful Honest is very gentle and you can lower the pigment weight of the color by mixing the Tone Softener into your formula.
