- I've been making top 13 videos about horror anthology shows for a few years now, and it's high time for me to finally take a look at one of the all-time classics, HBO's Tales from the Crypt. Enjoy as I gush and ramble about this fan favorite series in all its spooky, bloody, pun laden glory!

Television Terror was one of the few episodes that genuinely scared me, to the point that I didn't want to walk to the bathroom in myown house after watching it!
Ah this episode, I remember watching it on a rainy night, the wirring of my moms sewing machine as we all watched it in the kitchen. Id hide under the table when a scary scene would be on but pop back up to see whats going on. Definitely worth a rewatch
It was the first episode I saw on HBO. I was 11 years old! By the way, who was the worst mortician? Ezra Thornberry or Sebastian Esbrook?

I love Three's a crowd and Dig that Cat, He's Real Gone. Great twists on both of them.
I agree with this list. Love all these episodes. I'm glad finally fitting Punishment and cryin out loud is on an tales from the crypt list . I love none but the lonely heart, strung along, til death, dig that cat he's real gone, til death, forever ambergris, Advra cadaver, king of the road, maniac at large, split second, split personality, beauty rest, came the dawn, well cooked hams, creep course, two for the show, house of horrors,food for thought, death of some salesman and the man who was death
One of the reasons "Yellow" ranks low on your list is because it was originally filmed for a spinoff series called Two Fisted Tales.
I remember that when I was around 7, my Grandmother had HBO and other premium channels and had no idea. I loved staying up late at night and sneaking to watch this when it aired. It blew my mind as a 7 year old, and has earned a lot of respect from me as a Horror Anthology today. Great memories and nostalgia!
Cringing. But all the great iconic actors caught my attention. They all had so much fun making these and these can never be replaced. Much fun and thank you.
My personal favorite is top billing for it's disturbing ending and the twist will get you going

Death of Some salesman is my favorite. With Tim Curry playing three characters
Yellow definitely isn't like most episodes since it isn't a horror supernatural story but more of a real kind of horror as in the horrors of the war, and also Dead Right. Demi Moore is gorgeous in the episode and Jeffrey Tambor does a terrific job of playing an overweight grotesque slob.

.... after number ten I had to say... pls leave me alone Mr CZcams man... my dad and I stayed up til midnight every Saturday to watch this show together... even tho I was still not even a teenager yet... he connected with my big brother thru war movies... he connected to me with tales from the crypt... not only are you bringing up a lot of Tales that hit me hard as a kid.... you're making me miss the shit out of my pop... RIP dad... thanks for everything... for real for real
Then the ventriloquist dummy... an episode I always thought was more fun than scary... but I had a lot of stuffed animals when I was a kid sooooooo.....

Yellow was filmed for a spin off called Two Fisted Tales but that show never aired so it was placed into Tales From The Crypt. That’s why it wasn’t horror.
I don't know if you do request but you gotta watch Rod Serling's Night Gallery. An underrated horror anthology series from the 70s.
I actually have been meaning to make a video on that series too.

5:09 i completely agree here. I never thought of Yellow as a great episode. Some of the writing is kind of hamfisted, and personally as a veteran of an actual war I hold any simulations of war up to a very high standard.

Both good but bordello of blood was far creepier
The similarity between the story that inspired "Cutting Cards" episode and the Roald Dahl short story "Man from the South", first published a few years before the comic, make it seem likely that this was . . . inspired . . . by the Dahl story.
Regardless, I find the Alfred Hitchcock Presents (original) version of this same basic idea to be better executed. "Cutting Cards" shows you exactly where the story is going and then goes there. It's fun and gruesome, but there's no suspense.
Please don't make me collect more 'Tales of the Crypt'!!! Such good memories!

I understand why Fitting Punishment is on #13 since we don't see the villain get killed and what happened to him after that. I get why Yellow is #12.

I'm sure it has already been said, but the episode's name is 'Carrion Death' not 'Carrying Death', not that it matters that much, but I love the episode a lot I thought I'd just state it.
I did say ''Carrion Death''. At least I meant to. Maybe my pronunciation was a little off. It wouldn't be the first time.

If you do a worst list, I'll defend one of the worst episodes. "The Pit." It's better than it was in the comic, where it showed actual animal abuse. Dog and cockfighting, so I'll take two petty bitches fighting eachother to the death than animal cruelty

He had nothing sharp to do that with at 1st.
Diggs plan was to use his makeshift hatchet to cut the officer's hand off. But Diggs had been running through the scorching hot desert for hours without any food or water, which in turn made him delirious and unable to see clearly.
