i just watched this, i cut my line off so i had to fix it but i just triple knoted it. Would that work????
it can withstand a large pull from me but i dont think it will last long enough
please reply so i know if i should start over and untie the knot
I tried the black Cortland multi-tool clippers + fold out knot tool, and it was terrible, it was so slippery and the angle at the tip was steep so after every two wraps or so the loops would slip off the end of the tool....so I went back to walmart and got this one, its much better.

Forgot to wet the knot
It’s probably not that important, it’s the butt end of the leader. The line after it is so much lighter even if the knot burned it’s probably still stronger than the tippet.
You don't really have to wet a nail knot since there is not much sliding movement of the wraps, it's more of a compression knot., I never have anyway and never had a problem, a clinch knot on the other hand has lots of friction and sliding.
