    My grandmom bought this model for me as a Christmas gift. I plan this to use daily in place of machines in my collection. It agitates and grooms very well, and I believe this dual cyclone with the screen separates dirt much better than previous designs. The pre motor filter and HEPA filter seem well sealed for this price range and I predict maintenance won’t be hard at all. I’m super thankful my grandmom got this for me and I’m super impressed with its performance.

    I got mine in November of 2022. Its a decent machine and we have wall to wall carpet and it sounds like my bissell powerforce bagged on hard floor. Keep this in mind if you are going to get this machine if you have hard floors. It will scratch our linoleum when it gets bumped forward. If you try and do kitchen counters be aware watch out for the brush. My foot got stuck under it twice when doing above floor cleaning.

    I believe the reason the adjustment wheels are like that is for the swivel to work nicer because the the angle will help them be more aerodynamic

    I found it extremely difficult to replace the belt. You have to get your fingers into a tight crevice in order to loop the new belt around the power drive, which is very hard to see, whilte squeezing and twisting the belt so that it will fit between the frame of the vacuum and the power drive rod. Also, Hoover does not specify which replacement belt to use. I wish the author had demonstrated how to clean or replace the filters at the top of the container. Knowing replacement numbers for these would be VERY helpful, as mine were inadvertently dumped in the trash. Also, I wish I could remove and discard the extra hoses and attachments which I never use and which are VERY complicated to reconnect if they become loose and fall off.

  • @acclaimedhousecleaning7555

    I just received mine, or the newer version, but basically the same! I ordered a Helix Brushroll with it as it appears to have double the bristles for only $4.48 from Hoover. The unit seems to pick up well, but with the other brush roll I imagine it will be a beast!

    Patches is cute! This hoover reminds me of another hoover I had in the 70's but this one is a little more updated... It took bags and this one doesnt.. I like this better than bags.. The only thing that annoyed me about this vac is it didn't have a rewind cord option.. Thx for your video!

    My wife and I have used Hoovers for years. We purchased the Power Drive Swivel XL a year ago and it is absolutely the worst vacuum cleaner we have ever owned. The suction hose is continually clogged and dirt and debris are left all over our ceramic tiles. Everything seems to be working but there is not enough suction to do an adequate job of cleaning. We're very disappointed in the Hoover Company which used to be the go to place for reliable cleaning products. It'll be a cold day in hell before we purchase another Hoover product. A good broom and dust pan are vastly superior to this product.

  • @markhall8874
    @markhall8874 Před 2 lety +1

    Thanks for the great video, we purchased one of these, but I noticed that when I take the hose out to use the attachments (like you did at the 17:44 mark) dust will fly out of this area while I'm using the attachments. Seems like they would have a cap of some kind for that while using the attachments??
    Again, thank you for your informative and helpful videos. 👍

      @@IntellitechStudios actually that's a no. I recently purchased a windtunnel high performance pet bagless, and the same thing happened. I then tested on areas that had very recently been vacuumed, then used the hose and wand to pick up some lent and dust, and watched dust fly out of the opening where the hose goes in. I even tried it on different height settings. I checked the Hoover website, read reviews on the model I purchased, and someone else said the exact same thing. Unfortunately, I returned it. It's a shame to because as uprights go it was awesome. I even considered covering the area with duct tape or sticking some cloth in the opening. I can't help but wonder if the roller bar running is a factor. Glad I came across this as I was considering a Maxlife Power Drive swivel but will definitely steer clear of it.

    I just used this model for the first time today and watched this vid to have a better idea of how to use it. One thing that does not seem to have been covered is the PowerDrive feature. I haven't had a vacuum with that feature for a long time, so it was hard to get a feel for it. It did seem to kick in stronger when the handle was more parallel to the floor, but it was not great.

    • @IntellitechStudios
      @IntellitechStudios  Před 2 lety +2

      The name is very deceiving. Unlike the 90s Hoovers with the Power Drive name, this machine is not self-propelled

    • @wralford
      @wralford Před 2 lety +1

      If I'd known that, probably wouldn't have gotten it. This unit is considerably heavier than the Bissell PowerForce Compact I've been using, but is much easier to push. It also does a better job.

    The pants by the couch were too distracting. Just kidding i bought this vac just today. Seems good. I went nuts with some pesticide powder for fleas and i wanted to get rid of some powder that went everywher. My old bissell was spraying it in the air too much so i bought a new one. the Hoover. Its nice no pesticide powder in the air and the hepa filter is helpfull for this.

    If you have the Hoover Maxlife Elite w/HEPA filter vacuum and model number UH75110 file a complaint with the FTC. This model number has a factory defect! The height adjustment dial does not work. It doesn't change the height of vacuum at all. Hoover knows this and refuses to do ANYTHING.

      @Intellitech Studios Hey bud while I really would like to use your link to show some support for all the help you've given me I've actually found a Hoover MAXLife Pet Max Complete, Bagless Upright for $88 on sale "slighlty used" but it's only a little bit of box damage. While I think I bugged you enough and I really hate to ask do you think I should go with that one above the Bissell lift off ($150, on sale instead of $200) or the max life pet that's normally $159 I can get for the cheapest at $88 or do you think the one you just linked is better? As you can tell I'm probably putting too much thought into this and over thinking it lol. I swear this is the last time I'll bug you! I just happened to find that one and now I really can't decide lol. It got good reviews and is the most expensive one at the cheapest price but now still thinking of that Bissell powerlifter lift off and now the one you linked...I can't wait to just be able to start vacuuming lol. But again I really appreciate you being so helpful as you seem to know your vacs!! 👌🏼🍻🍻

      @@cwatson42785 Do not buy that Hoover. id strongly recommend picking the Bissell over the Hoover. I just reviewed that exact Hoover in a different color scheme and it's terrible. Either get the Bissell lift off, or if you want to spend only 100, get the Hoover Elite Rewind Plus from Walmart. If you want to just spend 80 and you specifically want Bagless, then get the Bissell PowerForce Helix Turbo, also at Walmart

    • @cwatson42785
      @cwatson42785 Před rokem

      @Intellitech Studios Ah ok, you just saved me! Also it seems you can't buy replacement hepa filters so that's no good for sure. I'm glad I found your channel as I never realized how complicated and how many choices there are with vacuums!! Looking forward to your reviews in the future! So just to wrap it up you think the Bissell powerlifter lift off for $150 (normally $200) would be the best option even over the one you linked up above? But that was between the junk one I bought already that's going back and not the lift off right? I like the idea of the lift off and also how it's a sealed system with a hepa filter. Cause with my dog and the pet hair and dander. My old 12 year old Eureka airspeed zuum 12amp was actually a really great vac and had incredible power but the belt went so I would have to replace the belt, hepa filter and foam filter which would be like probably $45 and the problem was its so tiny of a dust cup I'd have to empty it 2-3 times per vacuum and I'd do it once a week lol.

    • @IntellitechStudios
      @IntellitechStudios  Před rokem +1

      @@cwatson42785 thank you! Glad I can help. To answer your question, yes, the bissell lift off is overall better than the hoover elite rewind plus I recommend, but both are great choices. In summary, the elites advantage is it's cheaper, a bit easier to push, has slightly better attachments, and it cleans carpets slightly better. The bissell is a sealed system, has more reach, a longer warranty, works on bare floors, won't need belt changes, is easier to clean the Bin out, has easier to find filters, and has a longer cord. In either case, keep your receipt when you pick one, as you will need proof of purchase to make any potential future warranty claims should an issue arise. Hope this helps!
